I already had a tow company set up with my insurance. This guy came out and said he was going to help me. He didn't even ask. NEVER use this guy. He is unprofessional and disrespectful.
Juan was able to help us out after we had a flat tire while driving through the Alpine Loop on our way to Ouray. He was super timely and friendly, you can tell he takes pride in what he does!

Ladies and gentlemen!! Juan with J&Y Towing, Hauling, Recovery is a very professional man looking to service his community for there needs. He goes above and beyond to make sure that your covered and are satisfied with the needs for you and your vehicle. I will highly recommend this company and will absolutely support them in anyway. Already advertised them on my Facebook page and will continue to do so.
Juan is absolutely fantastic and I cannot say enough about his friendly attitude and willingness to go above and beyond. My daughter and I had car trouble on a muddy county road 4.5 miles from the highway. After being told by another company that I was basically an idiot who should never have been up there in my Forester and that they would come get me in 3 hours and charge me $1400 to get me off the mountain, I was able to get in touch with my insurance company who found Juan. He got on the road right away. Conditions were so muddy that he was only able to get his truck to within 1/2 mile of our location and actually walked up to us to help get the car down to the tow truck. (The steering was super loose and I was afraid to drive it on the single lane road with the steep drop off down the side of the mountain)
He spent the drive back confirming that those conditions could have caused problems for anyone and that it’s always smarter to call for help than risk pushing things to the point where disaster happens. Being from Colorado Springs, about 4-5 hours away, I wasn’t sure where to take the car so he recommended a shop that didn’t require an appointment (and did look at the car first thing Monday morning). He even drove us to the airport to pick up the rental car.
As other reviewers have commented, he’s just a really genuine human being who clearly cares about helping people and doing the right thing. Everyone who has heard the story of the car trouble has heard me raving about Juan!
JUAN IS THE MAN!! Couldn’t recommend J&Y towing more. Was on a little fishing trip from WV when my truck broke down and Juan was there on the spot and made what would otherwise be a miserable experience actually enjoyable. He’s very competent and professional when it comes to the job at hand but it’s his humanistic touch that’ll leave a lasting impact on you. He even gave me a ride back to the repair shop the next day out of the kindness of his heart. Aside from a few fish, Juan was undeniably the highlight of my trip. Truly can’t say enough good things about the man!

Not too often does your truck break down and you end up with a positive experience with the towing company, but Juan made that happen! THE BEST experience I’ve ever had with any business in Colorado. Juan is a very honest and good man with Christian values, which is hard to come by nowadays! You can really trust him! Extremely nice, understanding, caring, and helpful…. I hope my truck breaks down more often now!!
UPDATE:
After scooping me up from Cerro Summit at night and bringing me to montrose, less than 12 hours later Juan was up in the morning and ready to tow me to my next destination with a very friendly rescue puppy along for the ride, which also went very well! Very quick and quality service.
Juan came and got us in the evening and drove several miles out a rough gravel road. Got us to our destination as quickly as possible and was more than friendly while doing it. Great service.
Juan was absolutely amazing and did a great job. He was in the middle of a call helping someone else with a flat tire when he called me back.
I had been quoted $285.00 from another company in Montrose. Juan did it for under $200 and he was great to speak with. He kept me updated with text messages which was greatly also appreciated!!

Juan was incredibly communicative, responsive, and got to me within 30 minutes of me calling him. He had such a great attitude, and really brightened my day- something so nice in a break down situation. I hope to not have to use Juan’s service again haha, but highly recommend J&Y for anyone in need of a tow.
I would give J&Y towing a million more stars than 5 if I could! Juan was amazing and helped us out in what felt like a pretty desperate situation…on a Sunday nonetheless. This guy totally saved our butts this week! We were stranded five hours from home after backpacking and he was able to tow us all the way back last minute. I am so grateful to Juan for helping me out. I went through a lot to try to get another towing company out to get my car out of a ditch and they were all charging me 1000 dollars or more. When he showed up to help me out, he was very enthusiastic and was able to get my car out in about half an hour. He offered advice and made sure that I was all good to go before being finished. Great price, great service, and overall an amazing person. I will definitely call again if ever needed.
