I choose place for vehicle maintenance all the time. They have a military discount as well. But they do stay busy, so make sure that you call and make an appointment. They are very dependable and reliable and have a warranty go to them first.

From staff to owner, everyone is awesome! Their diagnostic report is excellent very detailed. One thing that caught my heart is that they are very honest and sincere to you. They give you reasonable price. They will tell you if you needed somethig change or not. And that sincerity, is very rare to find. I’m always happy going in wrench works

I found this shop about a year ago... I have since taken three cars to have work done there... Every time they've figured out what was wrong and fixed it... The service writers and mechanics are all very friendly... They take pride in their craft. I recommend it to anybody that will listen...

Wrench Works is my go to auto mechanic in Vacaville. Always priced fair and work completed correct in a timely fashion. I worked with Matt and Christian I believe. I was told when I booked the appointment they would have my vehicle done the same day. Due to the parts requiring a stocking fee they explained they hadn’t ordered them which I understood when I dropped off my vehicle. But they went above and beyond and drove to two different locations to pick up my parts and still have my vehicle completed the same day and time they originally told me. Also they could have charged me for rear brakes. But told me I still had life left on them and recommended I hold off. These guys are honest and I would highly recommend them to anyone reading this.

Hands down, this is the best mechanic in the area! They are so kind and take the time to explain everything clearly. Thank you Matt, I never feel overwhelmed or out of my depth when talking with them. I feel completely in trusted hands. Loved this experience! 10/10

Super friendly staff. I’m clueless about cars & the staff was super helpful in explaining everything that was going on with my car. Service was quick too. 100% recommend!

The mechanics were thorough in their diagnostic and description of service. They were kind and did fast and efficient work, as well as saving me money during the service. The best part of this company are the notes they attach to their website which is linked to your account/car. It includes notes of the items that needed to be fixed along with pictures of the step-by-step process. I will absolutely be bringing my car back here!

My 1999 Chevy Suburban A/C was not producing cold air so I took it to Matt at Wrench Works. The mechanics found that my compressor had failed and even sent me a video detailing exactly what had happened. A new compressor, receiver drier and new hoses were installed and now my A/C puts out 40 degree air! Everything was done in a timely manner and I was more than happy with the work as well as the professional manner by the folks at Wrench Works

Wrench Works is an ELITE auto shop. After recently picking up my 2016 Subaru BRZ, all of the problems have gone away and it drives and sounds PERFECT again. The issue I brought the car in for was a very mysterious and difficult problem to figure out, but Wrench Works took care of it in a timely manner. Their technicians are professional and do an exceptional job at diagnosing and troubleshooting. Also, the owner Christian is one of the most professional and intelligent people I have met. Bring your car to Wrench Works and leave with no regrets!!

Had a clutch hose that went bad on my way up to Tahoe Friday morning and had AAA tow my truck there after seeing the reviews. Arrived about 10min early before they opened and the crew were quick to find and diagnose the problem and get the part right away. They quoted me 2.5hrs to get the job done and it was on the mark. The receptionist and mechanics were kind, honest, and did great work. Highly recommend this place!

Fantastic local shop, I'm assuming locally owned as well. These guys worked on my civic, which had a bad alternator. We had some bad parts and the shop had to do some trial and error to see what was going on with it, but they put in the work and my civic is up and running again. Give them a shot the next time you're looking for a mechanic!

My power window mechanism on the passenger side broke so the window would not remain in the 'up' position. I called Wrench Works at 45 Commerce Place in Vacaville. Christian told me over the phone that it was probably the regulator that broke. He gave me an estimate of the cost if that proved to be the problem. He scheduled me within a couple days (delay primarily due to it being a weekend). He said he could have the part within one working day. The window regulator was replaced within two hours and the cost was exactly as he had estimated. Additionally, I asked him to check the battery since it was the original one in the van when I purchased it new in 2018. He checked it in my presence and said it was still recording on the tester as good. All the personnel with whom I dealt were professional and friendly. They provided A+/5 star service. Will definitely use Wrench Works for any maintenance issues with our vehicles.

Took my Subaru Outback here recently for some repairs based on the reviews on Google and Yelp. Had a great experience. Cost was reasonable, and communication was on point. They kept me up to date the whole time. Quality work and I will be back for sure.

Just had my car towed in and hopefully it was gonna be a good experience. Heard good things. Was quoted 160ish for diagnostic. Then even more to actually get in and see what's wrong. So at this point I thought I was in for it. But all in all it came out to a fair price and good job. Ty for fixing my pilot

I have to say, Wench Works is a lovely company. They helped get our older truck ready for smog. They are also super helpful and trustworthy. I highly recommend them.

Absolutely amazing. They were with me every step of the way, even sent videos showing what they were working on and how to fix it. They even went out of their way to found out what was going on with my car and ended up dropping both the labor and price of everything. I'd highly recommend to anyone.

Today we brought my jeep to these guys and even though they were short staffed due to COVID, they had it taken care of quickly. They were very polite and professional and I'd recommend them to friends and family! Thanks for being great!

In my opinion this shop is outstanding! They're sharp, straight forward, honest, and timely! I got sick of being ripped off by dealers and wannabe mechanics, these guys prices are fair and their work is great!

If you are looking for a place to take your car where they will do fantastic work, this is the place...l have no idea if it is over priced as everyone has a number in their head but l never feel like it's ridiculous and l don't mind paying when l trust the person working on and fixing my main transportation to work to get by on this earth. I've been coming here over 5yrs, employees are reliable and my cars are fixed. I have told several people to ck out and they like it as well. To each their own, that's my 2 cents and we all hate reviews and taking time to do anything right,?

Just dropped off my daughter’s SUV. I found them through yelp. Message them through yelp and they were the ones that gave me the best quote/rate for the repair I needed for the SUV. I met two of their technicians and so far they have good people skills. I Will update if things changes and/or the quality of their work is not up to par.

Someone recommended that I try Wrench Works because I had been experiencing a soft clutch pedal issue on my 93 Jeep. I live in Vallejo but I was told it would be worth the drive to Vacaville. I called and made an appointment and so on April 11, I left my Jeep with the shop. The next day I received a phone call informing me that my Jeep required a new Slave Clutch Cylinder. I agreed with the cost of $831 with a 2 year labor and 1 year parts warranty. So I instructed the mechanic to proceed with the repairs. A week later I went to get my Jeep. Riding back home to Vallejo, I noticed the clutch felt no different than my initial visit to the shop. I phoned the mechanic to voice my concern and he instructed me to return the Jeep back to the shop…so I did. One week had past and I had not received any word on the status of my Jeep. I phoned and was informed that the Jeep was ready. I drove the Jeep back home but again the clutch pedal was still not fixed. In fact, while going through American Canyon, I had to pull over to the side of the freeway due to the clutch temporarily not dis-engaging to change gears. When I got home, I phoned the shop and told them I was going to bring the Jeep back. On July 14, I embarked on a trip back to Vacaville to drop the Jeep off. While driving on Highway 80 and coming out of American Canyon, the clutch pedal dropped to the floor. This impeded my ability to shift gears. Luckily I was able to coast to the shoulder of the freeway without any incident. I phoned the shop on my cell phone and informed them about my current situation. I then called AAA for towing but had to wait 1.5 hours in the sun for AAA’s arrival. AAA arrived and took the Jeep up to the shop while I received a ride with a friend who brought me back home. 1 week passed without any word from the shop. I phoned and then was informed that the Jeep was ready and the Master cylinder had been replaced at no extra charge. I received my Jeep and proceeded to drive home and not surprisingly the pedal returned to its original feel of being too soft. I told my Jeep friends about the situation and they shook their heads in disbelief. Two of them got together and decided to help me tear out the current Master/Slave clutch cylinder out of the transmission and replace it with a better design. After tearing it out, my friends noticed that the inside of the slave cylinder was wet. This was an indicator of a faulty part. I took the Master/Slave cylinder back up to Wrench Works to let them see it. I asked for the manager and went outside to wait for him but to my surprise the mechanic who work on my Jeep came outside instead. I displayed the faulty part and told him the Jeep has never been fixed. I explained the continued issue and informed him that my friends are in the process of fixing the issue ourselves. He informed me that since the work had been done on the jeep by me, this would void the warranty. I told him I was aware of that and I decided to fix the problem myself due to the shop’s inability to fix the issue after three tries. The mechanic then asked why I would I let someone who is not certified work on my vehicle? I said because you guys were never able to fix it. The mechanic then asked me “so what do you want us to do about it?” I told him that it is up to the owner of the shop. He responded and said that he would phone me after he talks to his boss who is the owner. It’s been 1 week now and I have heard nothing from them. Guess I’m out of $831. I took my Jeep into the shop and paid $831 to have the soft pedal issue resolved but nothing was fixed. I took it upon myself to fix the problem because it appeared that Wrench Works was unable to do so. In addition to the $831, I had to spend another $300 to buy the parts for the clutch conversation kit that my friends are helping me install. I’m retired now and this will cause a financial hardship for me.

Wrench Works is an alright auto shop - the folks are great, the work is good, but the limitations as to the work they do (or don't do) is a little confusing/unimpressive. They keep things honest, and will re-address issues that come back after they attempted a fix, free of charge. Every so often though, we get turned away because they don't do certain services. So far I've learned they don't do air conditioning (which is standard work for most mechanics), and they don't work on 250-2500 (or higher) trucks. It's hard to build a relationship with them as a customer since they are fairly particular about the services they offer, and the vehicles they service. Ultimately, I've opted to take my service elsewhere to a better equipped facility.

This is the place to go if you need auto repairs. I've had them do a lot of work on my vehicles and every time it's a great experience. I mean, as good an experience as taking your car to get fixed can be.

I've been here a few times. The first was when my check engine light was on. They did a free 5 minute diagnostic on the computer and we're able to tell me what was wrong. The toyota dealership wanted to charge $300. I've also been for oil changes and general car maintenance. They remember my car when I called and are very friendly. The price isn't so bad for the work they do.

Perfect customer service combined with exceptional knowledge and skill. I had engine trouble on my Ford F-150 which I couldn't fix or diagnose on my own. After I told them the spark plugs had been changed recently by the previous owner, they ruled that out and chased down several other potential causes knowing the spark plugs would be an expensive job on the F-150. After trying all 8 coils, they finally came back to the spark plugs, which turned out to be the cause of the engine misfiring. Not only was I charged a reasonable price for having an engine problem that required him to work all weekend, he left the coils in free of charge, and added air to the tires since they were low. These guys go above and beyond for their customers. After losing faith in other shops and even dealerships for their work and service, I think every city in America needs a Wrench Works with guys like the ones in Vacaville.
