I replaced my Toyota Camry’s hybrid battery with this company, which supposedly came with a “one-year warranty.” After only one month, the battery failed. When I called, a representative named John was polite at first but became rude the moment I mentioned the warranty. He refused to send a technician unless I provided diagnostic codes from AutoZone or O’Reilly — even though he clearly knew their scanners can’t detect hybrid battery issues and especially the specific code they want from you.
I still followed his instructions and went to both stores. As expected, no codes appeared, even though the hybrid warning light was on and the car was showing clear signs of battery failure. When I called again — even offering to pay a service fee if nothing was wrong — he still refused to help without those codes.
With no other choice, I took my car to a Toyota dealer. They performed a full hybrid system inspection and confirmed the battery was dying. That inspection alone cost me $450. Only after I sent them the dealer’s report did they finally agree to replace the battery — but I was still out $450 for something that should have been fully covered under warranty.
This company is dishonest, and unprofessional. They use excuses to avoid honoring their warranty. Do not trust them.

I had a terrible experience with this place, and I don’t want anyone else to go through the same. They are completely unprofessional, and their attitude toward customers is disgusting. The guy I dealt with was straight-up rude and disrespectful.
I paid for a one-year warranty when they installed a hybrid battery in my car. After just 4 months, the battery stopped working. When I called them for help, they refused to honor the warranty and told me I had to pay again or they wouldn’t help me at all. No apology, no explanation—just arrogance and zero accountability.
This is a total scam. They take your money and disappear when there’s a problem. I’m beyond frustrated and want to make sure others don’t get ripped off like I did.

We were not able to have our battery refurbished but John at Hybrid Battery Swap was helpful in informing us of the actual problem with our car. He didn't charge us and was very accommodating. I will definitely use this company in the future. Honesty is the best policy.
I first had the battery installed exactly a year ago. Customer service responded in minutes. The pricing was transparent, upfront and very fair. Technician showed up on time. Installation was expertly done in about 45 minutes. The battery worked well until October when it developed a problem. Customer service again responded in minutes. Technician showed up a day later to install another battery free of charge under warranty (did pay $50 for mobile service). The current battery has been working like a charm ever since. I am very satisfied with this company. When this battery needs replacing I will ask them to do it again because their pricing is fair, customer service is fast and courteous and most importantly they stand by their products.
I do not recommend the service from Hybrid Battery Swap, and here is why. They offered me a used battery for $989, for my Prius 2004 with a one-year warranty, and guess what? The battery stopped working just after one year and five days. When I called them, the person responsible for the job told me, "Well, if you want a new one, I can install it for you, or I can give you a 10% discount on a used one." The problem with this service is that they build these used batteries to last just over a year, then they recharge you. The seller last year told me that the used batteries could last from 2 to 3 years. In my case, it failed right after the warranty expired. RUN away for this business.

Had my battery replaced 5 months ago. Battery will not hold charge and the person on the phone asks if it has a code, it has no code yet major issue continues. I paid 998.99 for the 1 year warranty and they say if it has no code that it’s not the battery. I asked to speak with a manager and they hung up on me. Terrible experience and will me contacting my attorney.
I replaced the battery with this guys and i paid for th 45 days warranty expecting the battery last longer than that and after 2 months the battery failed! So i contacted the company to let them know the battery didn't last too much (i know I was already out of warranty) and they told me "If you buy the cheapest battery with 45 days warranty will last only that much" Next time go for higher warranty battery....So i just paid to drive my car again for 45 days? STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUYS! I'm going to sue them.

its been about a month and no issues so far, I would recommended this place if your looking to keep your gen 2 prius for a long time and want a new battery.
my gas mileage also increased about 5mpg after replacement.
They are very responsive and affordable! The technician even offered to replace the fan that feeds the battery with a used/ clean one so the battery will last longer. Highly recommend Hybrid Battery Swap.
So far so good! Great priced battery replacements. I had my 2012 Prius hybrid battery swapped for a lot less than other mechanic shops or especially dealership would have charged. Entire process took about 20 minutes, and was able to book an appointment a day out. I'll be sure to update how things go as time progresses, let's hope it's good for years.

Called around to find Hybrid Battery Swap had the lowest price around on a replacement for my Prius. Easily scheduled an appt for the next day and the nicest technician drove an hour to my home and had that battery replaced within 30 min! Hybrid Battery Swap made the whole process so clean and easy. I highly recommend this company to anyone.
i want to give a fair review my Prius runs great and the MPG is back at the original level my concern is the website and what it states a completely reconditioned battery and you can purchase a higher level of warranty then i found out that the batteries are not reconditioned to the same level meaning theres A-B-C level of battery this is not stated on there website or the video you would think a company would charge for the level of warranty and in good faith recondition the batteries to a certain standard
I had a 2007 Prius I put a 1 year warranty in January 2019 and my car is still running nicely. I thought that the battery would only work for a year but it still working nicely and it been 2 years.They have nice prices and and very nice people.
I really want to give Hybrid Battery Swap a better review, but I cannot. Everything went very well, the technician came out and had my old used up battery out and the new one back in within an hour. The problems start when the technician was telling me that I would need to drive the car for the warning lights to go off, they all went off except the PS (power steering) light so i did some research and figured I needed to get the power steering fluid replaced, well here’s the problem I don’t have traditional power steering, all hybrids have power steering motors, meaning they are electric and my runs off of the hybrid battery. I called the owner of Hybrids Battery Swap to ask if he could send the tech back out and look at it to make sure he connected everything back up and the owner told me that he needed a diagnostic trouble code, he recommended me taking it to auto zone for a free diagnostic reading no luck so I took it to Nissan and paid $160 for a diagnosis and it turns out that the technician forgot to plug in not 1 but 3 plugs back in to the battery and that’s when I connected the owner again to try and get reimbursed for my troubles and he won’t return my calls or texts he won’t even apologize for his neglect and unprofessionalism. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a hybrid battery because if something does happen he’s not willing to fix it.
Got my 2007 Toyota Prius hybrid battery fixed last week from hybrid battery swap company and I must say very professional service. Didn't had to wait for long. They deliver what they say. Highly recommended.
My 2007 Prius with 130k miles had the hybrid battery die. I didn't want to pay full price for replacing it, since it's so old with such high mileage, so I looked around online for a reconditioned hybrid battery and this is the spot I landed on. I called the shop and spoke with the manager a few times, even texted with her, and finally landed on a date/time that worked for both of us. I had my Prius towed to their shop, and they replaced the battery VERY quickly! In under an hour, for sure. The car now drives perfectly and there's nothing wrong with it at all. I am SO glad I replaced my hybrid battery with a reconditioned one - I highly recommend Hybrid Battery Swap. The manager is really nice and I had great rapport with her. Definitely highly recommend.
