Given the time zone differences Sam was easy to work with - provided documents timely - and - other than the logistics of shipping an automobile 2400 plus miles - delivered the vehicle that was purchased site unseen - in good as website described condition. Sam also accommodated by providing additional photos of specific locations of the vehicle. The Jeep is a classic age wise - but runs and looks great given its two and a half decades old. I recently visited Auto City to sell my car and had a great experience. I arrived about half an hour early for my appointment, and Sam immediately set aside his work to greet me. He carefully inspected the condition of my car and asked about my price expectations. Instead of pushing for a quick deal, he suggested that I first check offers from two well-known online dealerships and compare them. If their quotes turned out to be higher than I expected, he encouraged me to reach out to them instead. I truly appreciate Sam’s honesty and customer-first approach. I am very happy about my purchase. Sam recommended me two cars and also let me test drive them for a couple of days just to make sure everything is good. I ended up purchasing a used Lexus with very great price and wonderful condition. I later drove it from California back to Washington state and it was all the way very smooth and comfortable. My experience with Sam was amazing, I went in to buy a car and got a better car than expected. Another great thing they do is detailing. When i picked up my car she looked so shiny and new! They cleaned it up and detailed it so nice. Sam is an upstanding man. He is fair honest, reliable and reasonable. It's no surprise that shopping for a car has its fair share of hurdles. It's my opinion that one of the most difficult hurdles to overcome is finding an HONEST dealership/person to do business with. We've been looking for a car since the beginning of last November.  We first went to our local dealership that we've purchased two cars from in the past. The previous two transactions were fair and something I would consider an acceptable experience. However this was far from the case when we tried to buy another car from them this time. So, my husband began an exhausting internet search. We live in Fresno, California. So when my husband found what seemed like the perfect car we both felt a sense of relief. But the car was 3 hours away. After my husband called and spoke with Sam he was certain that he had found the right car and just as importantly found "the right person". My husband and daughter drove up to see the car and met Sam on a Saturday. I had the privilege of speaking with Sam throughout the day. My husband was right. It was the perfect car and Sam was also the kind of man we'd hope to do business with. Sam offered to meet us halfway on Tuesday. (I believe that alone lends itself to the kind of person Sam is). It was obvious that Sam is an honest man and operates his business with pride, honesty and integrity. Something I believe is sadly a rare find these days. My husband and I met Sam to pick up the car on Tuesday. And everything I thought about the car and Sam was confirmed. My husband and I both agreed that Sam will be our "go to guy" from this day forward for any and all of our car needs. It's refreshing and helped restore my faith that good people are still out there. And that it's not all about the mighty dollar with Sam. It's about honesty and respect with him. The hassles one usually goes through when buying a car we're non-existent dealing with Sam. Honest Service. Helped me out even though I was not their customer. What could have been a bad day was rescued by Auto City. I locked myself out of my own car while getting gas just across the street from this business. The Gentleman helped me get access into my vehicle. Within ten minutes I was on my way to work again. He did not have to help me, but he did. It was human kindness at its finest. When I have the chance I will be back to support this local small owned business. My 90's Honda could use a lil' love. I just purchased my second car from Auto City, Sam (owner) is a super honest, and was helpful to me even after I had my car for a couple of weeks when a minor issue came up.

We all know how difficult the process of purchasing a used vehicle can be, and why so many used car dealerships get a bad reputation. I have been searching for the right vehicle for months and after so many of my deals falling through, I finally came across Sam with Auto City. I live in Southern California but Sam had a vehicle in great condition at a very reasonable price. Although it was very late at night, Sam answered my call and was very respectful and friendly. He agreed to a third party PPI and even dropped off the vehicle at the mechanic of my choosing. Working with Sam was so pleasant and soon I was on a flight to Redwood City. The vehicle in person was just as good as the PPI showed and Sam took care of all the paperwork for me. The vehicle drove flawlessly in the almost 400 mile trip back and I am very happy to have worked with Auto City. There are very few honest and kind used car dealers nowadays and Sam is one of them.

I just purchased a very clean, super low miles (35k) Chrysler Town & County from Sam at Auto City. I live 400+ miles away in SoCal, but he had what I was in the market for. He contacted me within minutes of my inquiry via Car Gurus and gave me the run down on the van. In this particular instance, he knew the previous owner and was able to give me some personal history on it, not just what was in the Carfax, which he also provided to me at the same time. This obviously won’t be everyone’s experience, but it was this way for me. I made arrangements to drive up in a rental and buy this a few days later. He immediately removed the ad and had the van prepped for me upon arrival. When I got to Auto City, Sam came out to greet me. He was very courteous and respectful. He opened up the van for me to look at and before letting me, he sprayed/sanitized all of the door handles, steering wheel, etc with alcohol. I took it for a 20 minute drive with my family and inspected everything. It was exactly what I hoped for. We hashed out the paperwork outside, paid, and went on our way. It was quick and as simple as buying a car could be. I’ve bought and sold 20+ vehicles in my lifetime and this was up there with one of my smoothest transactions. We immediately made our 400 something mile drive back and it was perfect. Averaged the epa estimated 25 mpg hwy too. Thanks again for making this transaction an easy and memorable one, Sam. My family and I really appreciate it and we look forward to taking many more road trips with our new van.

I am having a hard time writing this review because I like to always assume the best in people and I truly did feel like I was purchasing a car with a great price, great features, and a great, caring, and trustworthy sales person. Regretfully, I did end up having a poor experience here. I went to see a 2012 Sonata which, although it was absolutely spotless on the outside, when I took it to a mechanic (thank god I did) the car had a rap sheet of issues that would cost upwards of more than the total price of the car and although Sam, the owner, was very kind and seemed as though he had my best interests in mind I am very disappointed as I can’t understand why he would not know of this vehicles condition and why he was not upfront about it in the first place. Bummed out as this was my very first car buying experience... However, I am hoping this was a one-time thing and that I wasn’t scammed but I will also use this as a lesson to ALWAYS get a car checked out somewhere else and if you’re reading this hoping to buy a car from here, please do so too.

Sam (guy who owns/runs the place) was a nice enough guy, but I'm not sure all his cars are as well taken care of as he insists. I went to look at a '09 Ford Escape, and on the test drive it felt fine. When I had a local auto repair shop inspect it, they found issues that totalled over 3k to be repaired. When I told Sam he seemed like he didn't believe what the shop said. I hope he checks it out himself andaand fixes it or tells potential buyers.

My first time getting a car. I did the due diligence of taking it to a separate mechanic just to make sure things were OK. Sam was open and allowed me to do that. He even gave me a ride home afterwards. Great place and as honest as a used car dealership can be. Highly Recommend.

I met Sam during Fall 2015, when I was looking for an used car. I am writing this review more than 1.5 years after I met him, as I still remember him as an honest person from our discussion, during which he was more helpful answering my queries rather than being a pushy used-car salesman. He was kind enough to give me a history report on a craigslist car, for free (!), which I ended up buying and he potentially lost a sale, but that didn't stop me from helping me. I admire this guy, and wish him a great year 2017!

I went to see Sam because of all the positive reviews and every word was true! Sam had the kind of car I was looking for at the price I was hoping to pay and he took great care of me. I'll will definitely go back the next time I'm car shopping. Thanks Sam!

The customer service, appreciation, attention to detail and accommodation made by Sam was impeccable. Being active duty and needing shipment etc., he supported it in any way whole heartedly making it a smooth process. In many aspects I would refer even a family member to him to consider purchasing a vehicle.

I called him from Modesto and told him I was coming to buy a Lexus LX570 he told me no worries the car is on hold until you get here and he was right we got there and 2 people were there for the same car but he told them these people called first so because he was a man of his word so was I we bought the car before even test driving it just by talking to him you know he is a honest and nice person to work with THANK YOU SAM and this is a beginning chapter of a nice book insha allah

If I could leave a zero star rating, I would. I purchased a vehicle from Auto City, and in all honesty it went pretty well. I was happy, I felt the price was reasonable and I got the car I wanted. Once the car was mine, everything changed. The car has needed an unspeakable amount of repairs. This is after they held the car for nearly a month to "fix it up" and make it more reliable. "I wouldn't sell a car I wasn't confidant was in perfect driving condition." Right. Since I purchased the car "as is" this is now my problem. I am a handy person and have been able to do most of these repairs myself. I admit, this part is my fault. I took their word the car was in good shape and didn't bother to check for myself and now I'm paying the price. 5 months after I purchase the car I get a ticket for expired tags. Tags that I paid for when I purchased the car, as it reads on my receipt from Auto City. I contacted them about this, thinking they would pay the $142 ticket and have a reasonable explanation as to why my car didn't have the tags. Instead I got "Well, maybe we forgot to put them on the car before you took it." and "It's not really our problem, it's your car and you should have checked." So now I'm stuck with the cost of the ticket, the cost of my original tags I paid for, the cost of the new tags, and an entire morning at the DMV. These guys talk a good talk and will be your friend up to the minute you sign on the dotted line. I'm just glad I paid in full and didn't finance with them, I would hate to be tied to them in any way, shape or form. Buyer beware. I'd stick to more reputable and established dealers.
