Great service. Easy to turn in cans and plastic beverage containers for cash.

We are new to California, and this was our second visit to return bottles and cans. During our first visit, staff were very helpful and directed us to sort our glass, aluminum, and plastic inside the gate. We had two bags full for reference and it was less busy than your first visit. On this visit, we followed the same process and were told that sorting inside was not allowed and must be done outside the gate, despite our items being no different than before. We explained this was our second visit and that we were following the instructions given during our first experience. The inconsistency was unexpected and made an otherwise straightforward effort to do our part feel discouraging.

My son and I came here for the first time to recycle. We didn’t know how it worked, so we started filling up the bins inside. A staff member quickly came over and told us we couldn’t do that and had to go outside, or comeback another day. We didnt know the rules, but since the place was empty, it felt like we just got kicked out. It was a little disappointing, especially for my son on his first time. I understand he was just doing his job, but the lack of grace for a first timer was disappointing. So before you come make sure you know how things are supposed to run.

I come at 11:30 from kind of far away, and they were telling me that it is closed for lunch. The website doesn’t say anything about lunch time. And even …. They have more then 1 person working there - so what’s the big deal. ! PEOPLE TODAY JUST DO WHATEVER THEY WANT - it is not fair for people. Please management do something about this, otherwise I am reporting it to BB&B asap.

The forst time i went here the 2 young men were sitting i asked them about recycling questions one stood up and came to help. Today i went here again and all i say was a gentleman glued to his phone whe older ladies brought stuff in a bag and put it in the bin and also i brought in a TV i took it out and placed it in the bin not a peep out of him nor did he move. Its so sad that ppl dont do their jobs well these days.

Mountain view resident, brought in some textiles for recycling, since their website says they take them. Was told by two attendants they do not take textiles, and that the website is "very wrong". So, I suppose, one should not trust their website, or not trust the attendants. Waste of time.

This is not a very customer friendly operation. They have one very small flat bed wire cart to use for transporting recyclables from your vehicle to sort on the premises. Other places I’ve been to other places with more flexible staff who allow you to take the waste containers to your vehicle to sort bottles and cans but these guys won’t let you. Plus, I don’t know why it took forever to get cash. I was just standing there waiting as they were doing busy work. Most places pay right after they weigh.

They’re ok but seem to have lost the friendly chitchat of before. But they’re close by where I live so there’s that

Horrible experience and I can’t recommend anyone coming here. I had recyclables I am physically unable to bring to the location as well as lacking the vehicle to transport. I had booked a person to drop the recyclables off for me. Upon my helper arriving to this location, they told him that because the person dropping off is “not a resident of Mountain View” that they couldn’t accept the recyclables. I called the phone number on google for this location that sent me to a call center where I was able to confirm my identity, the vehicle, the person dropping off my recyclables as well as the type of recyclables (which was nothing but card board boxes). The lady who answered let me know she would call the supervisor and let him know the gentleman was there for me. The supervisor, Mark Gray declined to accept the recyclables after I already confirmed my identity and residency in Mountain View to the call center person. She called me back and let me know that mark had declined to take my recyclables I even requested to speak to the general manager, Marcus. after explaining to him I couldn’t make it to the location myself, he said it was policy that they couldn’t take recyclables from a non-resident even though I confirmed who I was and all other information requested. They are committed to doing the bare minimum and have no desire to help. Truly disappointing.

I consistently have things left behind or they spill trash and recycling over the street. Overly complicated rules for pickup, barriers for many. Bins that use way too much plastic. Poor customer service. "Waste Zero" doesn't mean much when they tell you if they can't sell your recycling then they don't take it - sounds distinctly non-zero waste to me.

Clearly this is not run to the standards of the Swiss train system, but has improved over the past year! As of May 2022, the rule seems to be max 4 bags of CRV per day (32 gallon bags?). Hours are posted as noon-4pm Tue-Fri, 9am-4pm Sat, but I showed up at 3:40pm on Sat to find the place closed already, so be prepared if you're coming near the end of the day. However, they are closer than Sunnyvale (the SmartStation there is awesome!). To get to the CRV area, go through/past the various non CRV bins in front. Tip: sort your cans and bottles by type (clear plastic #1 or aluminum cans, no caps) before showing up, and keep them in mesh bags at home so they have a chance to dry out and not drip disgusting liquids in your car. Bring your own gloves. They've got a bunch of empty plastic garbage cans waiting on the right across from the booth/counter area. Just empty your sorted non-wet CRV items into those, one type per garbage can. It's ok if a garbage can isn't full. Drag your garbage cans over to the booth area and the staff will weigh each one and give you your CRV value. If you want 5 cents per item instead of by weight, let them know. You can do that for up to 50 items per recycling type IIRC. Parking is by the curb along the street. There are a number of driveway openings and no-parking sections, so you may have to park a ways down the street.

Sometimes there’s a backup, but the people are friendly and efficient. Great place to drop off recycling.

Friendly staff. Easy to use bins for separating cans and plastic recycling. They have a few carts to help bring stuff up from your vehicle as well!

Showed up at noon on a Thursday, says to wear a mask before entering, noticed customers were already there grabbing all the tubs and sorting. Tried to get one but a employee came out of nowhere from behind the white mesh windows and rudely said to wait my turn. Another employee said milk jugs & muscle milk bottles weren’t allowed due to no “crv”. The 1st employee said to sign but the receipt wants you to print your name and sign 🤷🏽♂️ Besides rude customer service, this place is clean enough for flip flops.

I was helped with my recycled bottles. So I received just over $17 in their buy back program. Now these bottles are not in my garage any more.

This place is THE WORST! They have absolutely no sense of customer service. They make up rules like when they made us remove all the lids from the plastic bottles, for months, before finally reverting back to allowing them to stay on. Now they have a new rule that you can only bring “3 bags”, despite the fact that this is not posted on their website or Google listing. GO TO DANNY’S RECYCLING! It’s a little further away, but they run up to your car, help you sort your recycling, and drag your cans to tge conveyor. I’m always in and out in less than five minutes. It’s a little further drive, but if I had known that I will now have to drive around with liquid leaking out of the rest of the bags in my car while I do my errands and have to spend money on gas to drive back again tomorrow with three more bags, I would’ve gone to Danny’s in the first place.

Had the worst experience ever! Employees are super rude and degrading, they want to throw out unwanted items on the floor and then have the customer pick it up? Who are they kidding? If I gave it to you in a bucket, you should do the same back.

The undisputed most happenin’ recycling “scene” in the Bay Area. A hot go-to spot for the recycling elite of Silicon Valley. Rumored to be in the running for a Michelin star!

I can't believe they don't open till noon. Only one guy helping people and he does everything. They want you to get in line but don't provide any direction on were the line should be. People were all over and fighting about who was next. One guy just pulled his car up in the street and started unloading breaking glass bottles in the street and not cleaning them up. The prices were not posted and they weighed the plastic bottles even though they were all different sizes.

About once every month or so they don't pick up my trash or they do and it is scattered all over the neighborhood. They forgot to get it again yesterday! Big pain since I have to haul it up and down the driveway because of the bears! Also, they don't offer recycling where I'm located.

The lady present behind the counter at the buy back center today(1/31/21) was very rude. I have not been to this location in a long time. I do not know if she is new, the previous staffs at this location used to be nice and friendly. When the appointments were not available here, I visited SMART station few times. Thats a better location, staffs were all very nice and courteous there.

It's good to know there's this program where e waste can be taken. It looks organized and is efficient so you can be in and out usually within 5 minutes. This is all outdoor.

A convenient place to get rid of my large recyclable waste that doesn't fit in recyclable bin.

Now Buy Back is only by appointment via their website. So make it in advance. Workers are very nice!!

I brought some bottles to recycle and a box of electronics to drop off. I had to wait at the gate. After leaving the bottles I tried to give them the electronics. They would not accept them and told me to carry them into their building and leave them there. When I started walking over there with the box full of e-waste the worker quickly moved several bins in front of me, blocking my path. Each time I tried to get through he moved a bin in front of me. I eventually got by and went into the building on my left. I didn't see any e-waste there or any signage explaining where to leave it, so I left it at the entrance. When I walked back that same worker stepped in front of me, blocking my path and yelled at me to go back and put the e-waste where it was suppose to be. I ignored him and sidestepped him to get back to my car. That day I noticed 2 other people who were having similar problems with this worker. No one needs this passive-aggressive behavior. For that reason I don't use this recycling center anymore.

Customer service answers the phone, quick, easy, honest. I think that's why it's so busy here all the time. They do a great job and the location is easy to find. There are other places that offer cash back recycling you can find them in the photos I've added

Did not pick up recycling on 12/26. I was out of town until until 1/2. I called and asked for them to pick up the recycling on 1/4. They said no, that I should have called earlier. Really poor customer service. Before this I always had good service.

I called to ask a question, and the phone receptionist was rude, cutting me off and hanging up without letting me finish speaking. I tried calling back, and before I could even finish explaining what I needed, she just said, “You’ll have to figure that out, thank you,” and hung up. Such a strange way to respond to a customer.

Got here near closing on Saturday, no line and there are lot of room, where as Nexcycle was full. There are 3 people manning this place vs 1 at Nexcycle. The place is a building with many dumpsters where as Nex is a big container that get filled quickly.
