Contacted me about a used transmission i had for sale. I was very informative in my description and what vehicle it came out of. They had me load it and bring it to thier shop and once i was there the looked and said it isnt going to fit the vehicle they were trying to install it in. I wouldnt trust these guys if they cant even tell the difference between transmissions. Didnt even offer me anything for wasting my time. I would avoid doing bussiness with them if they wont stand behind what they say. To add on to this the owner said he would come monday when we spoke the previous saturday. Never set up a time and just showed up without even checking to see if i was home. I felt that was pretty foolish. By the nature of the response i recieved i hope it shed some light on the way they conduct business.
Dropped my truck off to have my transmission Rebuilt got it back in two days super friendly super fast and they even delivered it to my house 75 miles away for no extra charge. I can’t recommend this shop enough. Awesome customer service genuine people old-school service. He went far out of his way to deliver a Quality job, Great prices great customer service love it
Colton Transmission is the best in the IE! Definitely would recommend them to anyone dealing with any transmission problems. They rebuilt my transmission for me on my 2011 Chevy Impala in September 2024 and my car has been up and running smoothly ever since then. They are definitely reasonable and affordable. They will not steer you wrong. I really appreciate them. Especially with me being a woman and knowing very little about cars. They give great advice and know what they’re talking about. Not only did they rebuild my transmission but they also did some other things like rewiring because I had an electrical issue, they did new mounts, and a new radiator. I can call them up quick for any little problem and they will get it fixed asap and have the answers. They are the best mechanics!

These guys are the best around. I have an old 1990 bronco with a e4od trans. I have been to multiple transmission shops all charging me to do rebuilds. Colton transmission day 1 said lets do remanufactured, they did a ton of extra work as well. Now my truck runs great. Thank you colton transmission!!!!
Purchased a turbo 350 from Colton transmission. Paid $1450. Started driving my truck after about 2 weeks after the transmission was installed and the transmission was just dragging. Didn’t even drive it a couple hundred feet. Truck was towed back to them and was driven off by the owner. Nothing was wrong with my rebuilt engine when dropped just the transmission. I told them explicitly to not run my truck hard. It then came back with engine damage and a tick. They claimed they did nothing wrong and said it came in that way. Not even 50 miles on the supposed rebuilt transmission again lost all gears including reverse and all forward gears. When contacted they refused service and claimed they never touched my truck when I tried to have warranty done and my engine repaired. Even when they knew the engine just got rebuilt. Honestly this shop has been a horror to me. For now I had to take a massive loss because of this shop. Respectfully to all customers I’d avoid this shop.
Transmission has less than 50 miles on it and has only sat for almost a year now due to shops negligence. Drained the fluid to inspect and had a lot of metal in the oil. I’ll include photos when I start dismantling the oil pan and filter and place them here.
Great service! Brought my tacoma in for service because after a sudden brake and acceleration it would bang into gear they were great in explaining why it was doing so they got me back on the road at a reasonable price i use my truck for work and so far its running great, zero complaints ! Thanks to the guys at Colton transmission !

I always had the pleasure of talking to Danny who assisted me throughout the whole process of my transmission repair he made me feel really comfortable and most of all was HONEST! From my previous experiences it was hard for me to trust an auto shop to work on my car. That won't be a problem anymore thanks to the team there I will definitely be coming back!
Ever is very helpful and friendly. He helped me with pricing and they have a credit account you can use if you don't have enough money. He had my car done is one day! Very thankful 🥰
It's a scam shop. I bought a new transmission and install with them. New Transmission started leaking right away. Took it back and they cracked the transmission by over tightening the plug. Instead of replacing the transmission that is under warranty, he decides to jb weld the Crack. Still haven't fixed it ...

Please run before you get scam the owner is the worst, they don't know anything about transmissions my car has been there for 5 months and still didn't fix the transmission run before you get scam with this business I don't know how they are still in business
Bought a rebuilt transmission from this place it's been in the shop more than I've had it everytime I pick it up I can't even go a couple miles until it misses up but that have fixed it every time
Had my transmission rebuild only lasted 1000 miles they supposibly rebuilt it again lasted another 1000 miles the second time they said it was out of warranty because a year had passed since the first rebuild turns out they put a used trans in my truck Instead of rebuilding just so it would last me 3 months to cover there 1 year warranty horrible work that is not what a rebuilt trans with 1000 miles should look like
Eduardo by far is one of the nicest os genuine upstanding guys you could ever come acrossed is spirit of honesty generosity and sincerity and good business practices is 1 of the best I've encountered in many years. I have gone to Eduardo for evaluation and assessment on Eduardo is truly an honest man he could have easily charged me for services and And diagnostics yet he charged me nothing to put my cars on a scanner he was more than fair This is definitely one of the best transmission service shops in the whole inland empire.Hands down!

Thank you EVER , good communication on phone, good job with transmission rebuild .. drive one hour uphill smoothly 99 Honda Accord LX and good price deal than other shops one shops in Midas Barstow asking me for 7000 with tax that why I don't go there for replace transmission.. I'm happy with Colton transmission service
They cut Corners i bet if you all the good reviews would look underneath would see work done by a drunken person. I would not take my vehicle back even to fix their mistakes. They give mechanic a bad name to pray on people for pennies giving Colton CA a bad name for business. I have leaks on the work done by said shop.
we agreed on a set price , signed contract confirming the price , and during the transmission repair , the owner was like " you know what this transmission should cost more and im losing money " its like what? you agreed on a price on contract signed and dated and you want to change your mind 😂 not my fault you dont know your buisness. took 3 weeks to get transmission fixed but at the moment no problems and everything works fine . and didnt wanna honor the 1 year warranty . wow. . even tho it was just the clutch that needed to be repaired . i lost money and she was still crying that she was losing money on the repair ? signed contract on the final price , you dont try to ripp someone off by changing your mind on the price later . overall horrible service kept leaving the car back and forth cus they werent leaving the clutch , shift knob and transmission right . acting like i got time on my hands to wanna see your faces . horrible servicio. just being honest.
Quick to say my vehicle had a transmission problem. They checked it with the machine, no code popped up. Told them the problem I was having. They drove it said yeah it's the transmission. Got my vehicle a week later, with the same problem. Went back to let them know. Basically told me I'm the one that lost out with the money spent but at least I have a year warranty on a transmission. Dealt with different people. Very unprofessional.
Run from this place! It is a scam. Never opens on time. I have a 2003 Honda Odyssey and they first got the wrong transmission. Smart right? Then after the work I had to come back a couple days later because of a leak. The transmission build is garbage. Clunks everytime. It was already starting to give out and contacted for a replacement and the POS told me they changed owners and that the contract wouldn't be honored. I still have my copy. These are conmen. Not God fearing people. Very unprofessional. Please dont get ripped off like I did.
