OMG, I think I just caused trouble for my dealer without even meaning to. Here’s my story with this Copart location: I asked my dealer to sell my car because I was leaving the state. I later found out the car had gone through the auction twice but hadn’t been paid for either time. When I checked the listing myself, I noticed it was marked with “rear-end damage on both sides.” That surprised me, because when I brought the car in, it was in good shape. I told the dealer to sell it as-is, no matter the amount. So I called the auction to ask a very simple question: when you get a car in good condition, how do you decide what damage category to put it under? The woman who answered couldn’t explain and said she needed to ask the manager. When she came back, she told me I wasn’t allowed to call directly since I wasn’t the one selling — even though I’m the owner. I understood that, and I even told her I knew it wasn’t my transaction. I just wanted to know how they make those determinations, since labeling the car as “rear damage” (which it doesn’t have) might be the reason buyers walked away twice. Unfortunately, instead of keeping it professional, the situation escalated. The woman took my call as if I were complaining, told the manager, and the manager then called my dealer. Now my dealer thinks I caused a problem, even though my only intention was to ask about the inspection process. If there’s a recording of my call, it would clearly show I never complained about the dealer — I only asked that one question. I truly believe the front desk communication here is a big issue. Reading other reviews, I see I’m not the only one who has had a poor experience with customer service. It feels like every call is taken as a threat instead of as a genuine question. That shouldn’t be the standard. For that reason, I’m giving this location a one-star review. I hope management looks into how phone calls are handled, because situations like mine only push more people away from doing business in California.

BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION. They scammed me big time. I purchased a 2014 dodge ram 1500 listed as a run and drive and in the pictures it had power, I end up winning the truck. They bring it out with a forklift. I asked them to bring out a jumper. I hooked it up. And car wasn’t getting any power and wasn’t starting. Now I’m dealing with an electrical issue. If you plan on bidding anything from this location. I highly recommend you inspect the car in person. I would not trust there auctions postings.

“I had a very disappointing experience at Copart South Sacramento. One of the staff members, Rachel, was extremely unprofessional and, frankly, exhibited discriminatory behavior. As we are not American, she treated us with clear hostility. Although the inside area was empty and had seating available, she insisted that we wait outside, giving no reasonable explanation. When I finally asked to see the car I was interested in, she tried to come up with excuses to prevent me from doing so. This was not only frustrating but also felt very discriminatory. No customer should be treated this way, regardless of their background. I hope Copart looks into the behavior of its staff to ensure fair and respectful treatment for all customers.

I had an excellent experience at Copart. When I first arrived, I had no knowledge of how the process worked. Pedro took the time to guide me through each step, making sure I understood everything needed to get started. His assistance was invaluable, and I truly appreciate his help. Thanks to Pedro, I now feel confident in beginning my Copart journey, and I’m excited to purchase my first vehicle.

These review coming from Tow Guy Till about October it was a quick in and out pick up or drop off New Management is needs to be replaced with someone can do the job right if they went by appointments work with it or first come just like good old days I wish I could have rated negative but it’s not a option Shame on Copart for doing these to make more money on storage Shane on you guys

I have been waiting around 40 minutes just to pick up a title for a vehicle I bought, since they didn’t give it to the driver or mail it to me over 6 months ago when the vehicle was purchased and picked up. they send me a wait time of 25 minutes then changes to say 5 minutes and continuing to change the wait times with random minutes. Apparently Only one employee works here at a time. Rest of employees walk around like they don’t know what they are doing. To tell a business customer that has spent millions of dollars with Copart to wait outside 5 times when they have plenty of seating inside. I will be filing a complaint with their GM and possibly even Steven.

I have been waiting around an hour to make payment. Ones they send me message wait time 12 minutes after 12 minutes send you message 5 minutes, after 5 minutes they send message 18 minutes. Only one employee service people. Rest of employees turn around even they don’t know what they are doing. Worst service I have ever seen.

The Copart yard #16 is worst Costomer cervice, for an online appointment have to wait hours to get in, buy scanning barcode even tho there is no costomers in side of front desk, such a waste time, they don’t value time. Covid 19 regulations is over but they still kicking you outside to wait outside over 100 degree hot. Useless to talk to the manager nothing changing. Will stop being Copart costomer. There are more corporation to choose then Copart.

Worst customer service, very unprofessional staff I hate this office. I went to counter and they ask me to wait outside and I saw them that they were gossiping and after 30 minutes they done and when I asked they said ok let me help you. So please be aware

I had to wait 40 min when there were only 2 customers at the parking lot. Person at the counter nice but I think they shouldn't make customers wait because someone is at break. Once I paid, car was brought quickly and they delivered the car with the engine running (very nice from them). Better experience at MARTINEZ, SACRAMENTO AND VALLEJO.

Front counter was really responsive. As soon as I arrived and a person was already being helped someone else came right away to help me. Car previews are under strict supervision so that no one hides an oil dipstick or any of those tricks. Downside is that you feel a little rushed during the inspections. They never rushed me but mainly rushed out of courtesy for their time.

Very easy and efficient way to dispose of an unwanted car. Friendly from the initial phone call to final check. You can have them tow it away from your location or deliver to their location for an extra $50! Pleasant experience.

I had called on the 16th of July, which was the last day before it starts accumulating daily storage fees of $20, (2 different people gave me the rate) I show up on the 19th (3 days later) and I'm told that its $100 when it should have been around $60. They also mentioned that they had claimed it to be "abandoned by owner" and had already changed the status since a while ago. Really unorganized and felt like I got scammed.

Awful my contract stated fork lift on and off and they didnt want to forklift the truck on too my trailer because it was an f-350 unbelievable to think ive been loading in copart for like 3 years and they always load the cars and trucks my client was extremely upset over this....

This copart location is one the good locations. So sac and Sacramento are both good. Fast service. Sometimes the loading can take long when there are too many trucks. I wish they had a way to people who are picking up 1 car only could get them in between and not wait 1 hour.
