This is the worst towing company ever. Over 300 for the tow alone and 70 dollars a day. When we tried to get some of our things out of the rv they wouldn't let us get one damn thing.we bought it in Missouri and drove it to California we tried to get it tagged only to find out about the smog testing that is required.so trying to fix the motor hometown get it legal is when they took it. Who gives the police officers the right to make people homeless. We lived in our motor home year round.they took everything from us. All our belongings just taken. Cause it always happens when you dont have the money to get it out. So we are living on the streets now instead of our home. Way to go Sacramento county sheriff's department officer yee specifically. Every other officer gave us time to move the motor home. Not officer yee he was dead set to tow our home no matter what we said. Is this even legal. Since when do the police have the power to make people homeless. Simply because they want to.

Fantastic experience with James yesterday. Our RV broke down on the side of the highway and the CHP called College Oak for us - so glad they did. James went out of his way to be helpful - towing us to their yard nearby (so the towing fees were very reasonable) and fixing us up enough to be able to drive it again. I ran out of gas in front of their shop. Busy road with wife and kids. I crossed street asked to buy a gallon of gas for $20 dollars. They would not help us . I was a tow truck operator for 5 years and loved helping people. You folks give first responders a bad name. Very sad, never seen so many tow trucks and employees unwilling to help a family in a dangerous spot. Shame on you all. Honestly. I helped many people in my time and for free sometimes!! Do better you could have cost a life. My son & I walked 30 minutes to the gas station in heat . I also have health issues. Please remember your first responders!! Act like it !!
I had to make three separate calls for service and College Oak Towing responded with alacrity and professionalism everytime. They qere well informed and communicated everything they were doing and going to need me to do. I would definitely call them again. Tom, Ted and Chris were the Cowboys I needed.
Our RV (that we just bought used) blew the radiator on 99. We called some scammer company "EASY TOW" and they quoted 2500 (and billed up front) and said a truck would be there in 45 mins. 90 mins later nothing. The scammer on the phone sounded like he never heard of highway 99. Should have known from there.
We called College Oak and immediately could tell the difference. The operator (forget her name) but knew exactly what was going on and got us setup in no time, no upfront payment. The wait time was about a little over an hour but we could tell this was a legit business.
Ruby the equipment operator was super professional and knew what she was doing. She was flexible with our drop off situation and everything went well. Would absolutely recommend and use this company in the future.
The total cost was half of the scammer company and well worth it.

The fellow on the phone, whose name I didn't catch, was also very gracious when I called in distress and he made sure I got somewhere safe before giving him the necessary information.
Towing is never a fun situation, but I appreciated that this company did the job for me today.
They have broke a lot of stuff in my motorhome besides after the last time they impounded it doesn't shift my gears and besides I got stuff taken from my motorhome and maybe not all of them but there is someone who took my change, tennis shoes Jordans, and collective basketball cards that went missing besides the guy at the office has allwaYs been pretty cool.
Very rude staff, I set up a tow with AAA which was dispatched to this awful business. The agent hung up in my face which is completely unprofessional! I hope they lose their contract with AAA because they are very unprofessional. If you need service call another company.
Update: The reply shows the unprofessionalism the company has. Hanging up on a customer asking clarifying questions should never be viewed as "Rude". Then to lie and say profanity was used is outright insane, I surely wish they could post this "So call recorded call". Business who lie probably also would go as far as stealing and I am so thankful I wasn't stuck doing business with such crooks!!! Do yourself a favor and do business elsewhere...the proof is in the pudding ...Look at how many negative reviews the company has. Red flag #1

Contracted by AAA, never showed up! 90 minutes out is one thing. Not showing up at all is absolutely unprofessional.
I do not know what looking it up changes? It doesn't get me towed last night when I needed it. It doesn't change that I was lied to for 90 plus minutes. It doesnt change that i was expecting help that never came. It doesnt change that I could have called someone that would have showed up. It will not change if I use you or not again. You can look in your system and see who you choose not to contact. I was called at 6pm by a driver that I asked if they could change the address because the dealership was closed now that it had taken so long. No one's fault, that was time of day. All I really want is this company to know and do better. Fortunately, I was safe and had no one in the car with me. I read your reviews and this isn't the first time! Appauling to me to run a business this way. What's even more shocking is it continues to be an issue. Why sign a contract with AAA and give them a bad name if you cannot delivery your side of the contract. Do better is all I ask. These people that call are stuck, possibly having a horrible time because of it. All we ask is you to show up as promised!
My Buick terrazas starter went out so my boss helps me by calling a tow truck with college oak tow but when the driver was trying to unlock the steering wheel with the key he broke the ignition i just had it replaced 3 wks prior for $200 I'm not only missing out on work but my 16 year old needs me at home college oak tow says they don't take responsibility for my ignition getting broken. Then what happened to it then? It was brand new. And it worked before handing your driver my keys.
I wanted to give MAJOR props to College Oak Towing for their outstanding service. This is the second time they’ve moved a container for us, and both times, they were incredibly flexible and easy to work with. Their communication was excellent, and they were very friendly and reasonable throughout the entire process.
A special shoutout to Ruby, our driver. She was absolutely awesome—patient, friendly, and made sure everything was perfectly set in place since it was permanent. I highly recommend Ruby and College Oak Towing for any towing needs you might have.

I called college oak to tow my Tesla that ran out of charge. The experience was great from the get go! From the super friendly dispatcher Ralph to my tow truck driver Justin. Justin was gracious, polite and very nice! He drove safely, and showed great concern for me and my vehicle. A hard working man that left his kids in the middle of the night to come and help me, and he did it with a smile !:-)
I will call this company any time I need a tow !! Highly recommend !
I had a frustrating experience with College Oak towing company recommended by AAA. They took three hours to complete a job that should have taken only one hour. The driver seemed nice, but he walked slowly and didn’t appear to know what he was doing. He even had to call his supervisors, which only delayed the process further. To top it off, he missed the turn to the delivery location, adding even more time. In the end, I was charged $860!
I chose not to go with that company for returning my RV from the repair shop. Instead, I went with Hall's Towing, which was recommended by the repair shop. They were efficient, taking less than an hour to pick up and deliver my RV. There was no charge for gas, and the total cost was only $225. I highly recommend Hall's Towing!
I requested a tow from AAA Roadside Service due to my radiator going out directly before pulling into a parking lot. The driver was assigned promptly and arrived approximately 45 minutes later.
The driver drove my SUV up onto the back of his truck after I asked him not to. It was simply the lazy way of getting it onto the back of his truck. The coolant reservoir was empty, and I didn't want to have any issues with it overheating. My Toyota SUV has been highly reliable, and I've had no major issues with it.
Needless to say, the driver drove it onto the back of the truck against my wishes. The driver had an arrogant and cocky demeanor to him and wasn't friendly or personable.
The radiator was replaced, and now my car is inoperable and ruined due to having a blown head gasket. I made AAA and the towing company aware of the situation. The dispatcher at the towing company was argumentative, dismissive, and rude.
I will never use this towing company again and hope AAA cancels their contract with them.
I'm a reasonable person and wasn't asking them to replace my vehicle, nor did I ask for any compensation. A simple apology would've been nice. It's clear they don't pride themselves on customer service, and it's not a core value of theirs.

Was charged $247.50 for a four mile tow to repair. They said 30 minute's and took an hour to get there. Charges were for $150. Per hour leaving their yard and this was just wrong in so many ways. I have used them with my AAA card and had little issue with them. This time was helping an elderly gentleman and we got so taken to the cleaners. Would I recommend NO. Becareful as this is run by dishonest folks. Nice guys on the truck very inexperienced driver. As one was training the other. The older gentleman was not touching anything just directing.
Debbie is amazing. She worked so hard to make sure that I got a long distance tow. She was concerned about my safety which I truly appreciate. Is very kind and professional. Home safe and sound. I would like to give a huge shout out to Derick, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! He is a wonderful person, so kind and thoughtful. He is a True asset to this shop.
I had the most amazing help from the tow company you sent and I would 100% recommend them for anyone who needs help in the future. I had the very best service with this towing company. At first I called them at night because I ran over a pot hole on Roseville Road and the front driver side lower ball joint popped of or it was damaged.
Called AAA and the tow guy who came was was not comfortable with doing a hook tow. He then told me to call College Oak Towing because AAA would reimburse me after I had payed and sent the receipt.
The first guy in line at college oak said he also did not want to do a hook tow because he would damage my car. So I left my car over and I got lucky and returned to my car the next morning with no damage.
I called College Oak back hoping to get someone who was willing to tow my car with a broken ball joint.
JERRY came out and did a great job! There was absolutely no car damage done to the car with the hook towing. Thank you so much my brother and I would recommend Jerry to anyone looking for great quality service!
What great group of people. I thought I had good roadside assistants but come to find out as I was setting on the side of the freeway I didn't ( it's not AAA). I called Collage Oak Towing and spoke to a very nice man who helped me schedule a tow and get someone to me very quick. I got referred to them from AAA. There price was very reasonable and they came very quick. Al came and turned my bad day around and got me towed to my house. Thank You for the speedy service and great customer service.
Paul was absolutely wonderful yesterday! He got called out by AAA on my behalf when my car died at work. He recognized what my issue was immediately and instead of just towing me and being done. He quickly checked a few things and then fixed the issue. One of my battery terminals had come loose at the wire. He tightened it right up and got my car running instantly. He kindly explained what was going on and what he'd done to fix it and what my options were to prevent it happening again. Absolutely the best service I have ever received from a towing company and I've had a lot of old junker cars that had to be towed.
My experience with this company was an excellent one. My new corvette broke down late at night and I called another towing place who promised me they'd be there in 30 minutes. About 30 minutes later, they called me back to tell me that it would be another 2 hours, minimum. I called another place and they simply didn't pick up the phone. The 3rd place I called was College Oak Towing. They told me they'd be there in 30-45 minutes and managed to get there in 20 minutes. The driver, Jerry, was very capable and gentle with my expensive car. To those of you unfamiliar with towing, it's not easy to avoid scraping a car that rides as low as mine. He used wood blocks and careful manipulation of the wheels and my brake input, and as a result my car was successfully towed to my house without any issues, and without a single bump or scrape. In addition to all of this, the dispatcher that I dealt with was very polite and understanding of my situation. This was unlike the other company I'd called, who seemed impatient and didn't walk me through the process very nicely. As a business owner myself, I pay very close attention to the customer service of companies, particular those companies whose services don't really obligate them to be nice to you. Other towing companies should learn from the example of this one. I would definitely call College Oak Towing first in the future, as I honestly wouldn't trust anyone else with my car, or with my time.
