It's a good place, I just wish the lunch break was mentioned on the hours sign. He definitely deserves a lunch break. It is 12-1pm If that gets on the sign, I'll change to 5 stars.
Be careful i went with multiple bags and got 30$ while usually it’d be 50$, they should have the scale numbers facing you to know how much youre really getting
This morning I came to this recycling center with a few bags if plastic bottles. I go to this location for years. I was there at 12:00.03 PM. There was one person before me. I am an alder woman with back problems. As I got in line the guy in charge told me that he closes out from 12:00 to 1:00 PM for lunch. I was already in line. I saw no notice that he closes for lunch. The plate said Mon -Sun 9:00 to 5:00. I asked him to make an exception this time as I didn't know the rule. He kept denying me service. I had to leave. I told him that I hope he will be treated by others with the same "kindness" he showed me. He said - Do not come here anymore at all! I will not! He won't see me, but he will hear from me...
Just went there and the receipt I signed was for $17.35.
Got to my car and counted the money I was given....$14.35.
Two $5s and four $1...at least the quarter and dime was right.
I would describe the employee but I'd just get told I can't count or was at the wrong place....looking from the reviews.
Next to Ralph's and Target....Sepulveda and Carson off Madrona in Torrance.
Good place to recycle your cans, bottles, etc to get your CRV money back. Not sure about the bad reviews, I have never had a problem here. Only minor negative is I wish they cleaned the garbage cans to haul your old cans more often, but otherwise never an issue with being cheated or other problems people mentioned in other reviews.
This place is fine and they don’t cheat you, just some people don’t know how to count.

All is well, before I realized the receipt doesn't match what the operator gave me. He even stated it's 8 dollars, gave me brand new bills: a fiver and three ones. But the receipt shows 11.42, short changed by 3.42. a honest mistake? or he pocket the rest. 5/3/2024 9:21am

Should have read the other reviews before going. Definitely skimming! Not going back ever. it'll be their word against mine. Not worth the trouble.

I did learn something, sort plastic, aluminum and glass before going. The operator made me sort them into different basket before accepting them. It'll made process go faster
might call management to complain, per the reply, but it probably won't do any good
If you care to share the management office number. I would gladly call to complain to a live person. I tried a few numbers, some don't answer and some said out of service
I love this place ! We take our day program students every week as part of our vocational training and their staff is always pleasant, patient and amazing with out group!
This place is the worst, try to pay attention on the weight of your recycle. Ask them to see the weight of your recycle, there treat you nice so you'll not. Paying attention on your recycle. Just letting you know, they will steal your recycle big time on this location
Bring your scale and WEIGH YOUR RECYCLABLES yourself beforehand. They TOTALLY ripped me off. Said my HUGE (Costco toilet paper multi-pack sized) bag of aluminum cans only weighed 8 lbs. When I brought a small bag in a month later (weighed it this time) it was 3.5 lbs. There's NO WAY the first bag was only 8 lbs. If you don't weigh your stuff beforehand and call them out on it, they WILL rip you off.
I was their today to recycle and the guy behind the counter seemed to be in a very bad mood. He was not friendly like the other guys that usually work. He was barking at folks including myself for taking the orange baskets to our vehicles and separating. I’m not for what his problem was. Now that I have a number to the company I will be calling. Bring back the other guys that were way more friendly. I usually leave them a tip, today I didn’t.
Convenient location, but if you know recycling keep an eye on what you take in and what you get back. I had a basket overflowing with plastic 10 + bottles, a basket full of water bottles that aren’t clear and a 1/4 full basket of cans and received 8 dollars. Didn’t seem right.
I'm really glad someone is still collecting and reselling plastic bottles but this place is unusable because of the blaring music. The music is cool but the volume was at stadium levels. I had earbuds in my ears and it was still too loud. The attendant must have severe hearing loss.
Watch these guys! I took 9 Dollars worth of bottes $9.20 to be exact. They weighed them while I loaded my car with the empty boxes the bottles came in. So I know how many bottes I had! When I came up to collect my payment they handed me a five dollar bill. I thought nothing about it until I got home. Then I counted the boxes and the bottles they hold! I don't know if that is theft or fraud...YOU decide. I won't go back. to those thieves.
The best recycling center so far. This place has reopened near Ralphs under New management and new workers which makes this recycling center so much better!! Also very convenient for me being so close to home. Patrick behind the counter is very friendly, helpful and gets through the line as fast as he can. I will be back and recommended to friends and neighbors!
Friendly, Clean, Cigarette free recycling! As well as true to their posted hours! This one is located on the side of the Ralph’s parking lot. Lots of shade which is great for parking! All of these factors makes for a great recycling experience!
This recycling center is very good! The location (behind Ralphs) used to be a recycling center, but closed about 6 months ago. They have reopened under new management and do a great job. It's not as busy as it used to be, but I expect that it will get busy again, soon.
