These guys have team work down tight I'm in & out with money in hand, I have to drive a few miles but it is worth it.
New post: it's been 2 years now and these are still on top of their game.
Kinda shady. I got ripped off years ago, came back to give them another chance, and now they hide beside the register, one way window and won't show me weight. Shady then, shady still. Also, same guy from three years ago, he just added different hair color streaks.
Normally my go to place to do my recycling. Staff pretty friendly, normally I experience no wait time . Open 7 days and do recommend this place to do your recycled. Thanks
Apparently they make there own hours says they close a hour from now and no bodies there bike got.a flat on the way won't come here that's fur sure now I'm walking back with my bag of recycle and a flat please update hours
RIPOFF!!! Scam/fraud alert: they preset their scale to -9.3 lbs and while the garbage bins are somewhat that weight, the cheap plastic containers with the netting is definitely not 9.3 lbs (more like 2 lbs at most). 8 full bags of recycles and we never reach $20 anymore. They are essentially pocketing money and not refunding as much as they should for the weighed recycles!!! Never again!
If the receipt says I am to get $4.88 I’m not understanding why I was given $4.50. I’ve come to this recycling place three times and three times they short changed me I will not be back. If you would like to recycle and have the company Steal money from you please please please come to 1413 Hawthorne Blvd.
Great place. Always clean, efficient, sometimes there may be a line, but the workers are always prompt and quick. The payout is very competitive, personally I think the best for cans & bottles.
Straight forward efficient place. Usually, there are only about 3 people in line on weekdays. If you have your recyclables properly sorted, you'll be in and out in 10 minutes. Price by weight works out to be less than $0.05 each, but that's how other recycling centers operate too. There is no option to redeem per unit. Get cash on the spot. There is no need to take a receipt into a grocery store to get cash.
I keep coming back, the staff is honest, helpful and fast, there is no pressure, I take my time and they are very patient, I strongly recommend this place
This is by far the best recycling center near me. The guys that work there are incredibly helpful and you get significantly more money than other recycling centers. I come here every 3-6 months because my husband drinks a lot of beer and I drink a lot of sodas. I'm always very happy with how much money I get in the end. I recommend them to everyone because they are the absolute best.
Poor service I called and the guy told me if I could be there 505 I showed up the little short guy said you’re too late were closed and he didn’t care and that’s not how you treat customers I showed up to cash in my cans in my bottles. I got there at 5:05. The guy change his attitude and the way he talk to me was unprofessional
Wooow!!! Everyone was absolutely right about this place. I just cashed out a little over $10 for a bag or so fewer than I had when I went to the other place in Torrance behind Ralph's, where they only paid me $5. The guys here are very friendly as well, which is why I'll continue to come back here from now on. So glad I listened to those reviewers.
My first time here. Guys are definitely helpful and the best part off; honest. Last time I took my plastic bottles next to Ralphs on Hawthorne Blvd n/o 182nd; they gave me half of what I received here. Thx much for your honesty and helpfulness.
If you show up there with all your cans, bottles a plastic pre-sorted. Very efficient. All I have to do is load them up in the designated plastic containers and let the guys take care of it. Never had a problem here. Cos
I would not recommend this vendor for anything more than a single bag of recyclables. There is NO nearby parking and the location is not customer friendly at all. I was met by José (the parking police) and run off. He requested that I schlep my bags from the nearby Ralph's parking lot. Too bad...I had a full ¾ ton pickup to unload! I won't return!
First time coming here, after sorting all my plastics, aluminum and glass, the checkout was quick and easy. Well organized and looked after. Will be returning.
I have returned a second time and these guys were so helpful, they brought the containers to fill with my recycling, to my car! Then as some of them were almost overflowing, they brought extra containers my way! They are very friendly and helpful in my opinion and that means so much as a customer!
This place is shady this is the 2nd time I caught them lying about the weight of my aluminum.... you have to Look at the scale yourself and check the weight and if he takes it off too fast which he will tell him to put it back on there
They move fast which is good. But watch the scale and take a picture because I noticed my cans weighed 12.4lb and they put 12lb on the receipt. They shorted me 0.68 cents which doesn't sound like much but if they get 1000 people a week. Thats an extra $680 they are making on top of they profit.
Literally the guy working there this evening on Monday February 8, was so rude. I got there at 4:55 pm and they close at 5:00 pm they guy said he was done for the day. I said ok no problem I will come back tomorrow. Yet another lady comes after me and he let her recycle her stuff. Wow definitely not good customer service.
