This place is not a good place for business! They lost my business today along with others! They do not give you the correct money because they don't weigh correctly. By the way, what kind of business has no phone number or anyway to contact management???? Will never go back!
They do not give you your weight that you take to them. I weigh mine before I take it and today it was roughly 15 lb under my scale at home. They do not pay you correctly. I would say they take the rest home for themselves at the end of the day. So take your material to a different recycler
This recycling center has been around for years but some of the workers are always bitter, miserable and have bad communication. It's understandable when it's "hot" and the heat starts dehydrating you but at least don't take it on others,keep yourself hydrated ?
Went once and it was fine, stopped by today and tried to grab a bin and when I did, young guy working there stated I couldn’t take them and then ignored me and walked away when I asked if I should wait. A woman there started giving the bins away and a man waiting before me asked why can we use them all of a sudden. Place is fine but could do without the attitude that young worker had. Won’t be going back anymore if he doesn’t know how to communicate using his words. Other people waiting before me were also complaining about his attitude.
Guy with the curly hair is unfair and very unreasonable, closes 30 min early says no more money but there boss is sitting inside his car outside the recycling... the other workers are cool but probably my last place to go to so maybe find a better place ?
These people cheated me out my money I use them all the time and this time I had triple the amount of recycling than usual and I was still given the same amount like I had my small lord she wouldn’t let me see the sheet or the calculator. Who do I send a complaint to?
It's a windy day today and I was having a difficult time placing my recyclables in the plastic containers that they provide and there were 2 able bodied men there, one was standing around smoking a cigarette and the other was sweeping the ground and I was the only customer there. One of those men could have come over to help me as they could clearly see that my recyclables kept trying to blow away. Someone usually always come to help when it's slow and nobody did.
I just left this place and read some of the comments, they treat you with the respect you give them, so if you wanna be rude and get scammed go right ahead, show respect and they’ll treat you right
Even though the hours state they open at 8am. They are not. It's 8:10am right now and no one is here to open the gates, there is no one inside the lot. They need to update the hours to the correct ones that say when they actually open their business or do a better job to open their business on time.
THIS IS A HORABLE PLACE. THEY KEEP CHEATING CUSTOMERS AND WILL NOT LET YOU SEE YOUR TOTALS IN WEIGHT AND PAY WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO HAVE. REPORT THEM ASAP...
THEY ARE EVEN CHEATING HOMELESS PEOPLE TRYING TO RECYCLE TO GET MONEY FOR FOOD AND WATER IT IS 110 PLUS DEGREES OUT HERE HOW DARE YOU....
Watch out if you don’t check the amount you are recycling they will give you less cash for your recycle’s because it happened to me on 5/14/22 in the morning, went twice but on the second time I took more cans and plastic bottles than the first time and I received $10 less, have nothing good to say about this lady so I’ll leave it as that.
My father was waiting like they asked him to for the baskets to put the cans and bottles in. Two other People who came and park after we did were handed baskets and my father was ignored. When I address this they told me it was my father's fault for not grabbing the baskets. THEY HANDED THOSE BASKET TO THOSE PEOPLE! What was he supposed to do? Grab it out of the other people's hands? Very rude!
Hours say they close at 5 but they close the gates at 4:45. We arrived at 4:43 and they closed the gate on us and another car both of us saying "website says you close at 5". We had bag and they didn't care. my wife said "please. We only have 1bag don't do this to us. We rushed here to make it before 4:45". They didn't care. His response was "how you going to come 1 minute before we close the gate?" Hey, 1 minute before is still open. It's Friday. Probably in a rush to go party. Lost our business and probably the people in the other car as well.
The Hispanic workers are very biased, when it comes to sharing the orange recycling reciprocals. The process moves pretty slowly when things like this takes place.
They rip people off & don't weigh your recycling correctly. I've witness it more than 2 times as it not only happened to me so I rather take my business elsewhere & advice others to do the same.
They actually close at 4:45 not 5pm like it states online so if your rushing to try to make it before 5pm their already closed 15 minutes before that time.
They are not willing to give me change because my total amount is too small? I would think they would try to have the needed changs available for their customers no matter how small the amount. Of only .40 cents. Poor customer service. Oh yea I made sure I took back. .40 cents 4 .10 cent aluminum cans back.
Staff was friendly enough. Quick and efficient. They get you in and out quickly. They are COVID19 cautious and will remind you to wear a mask. Other than that they were great.
if i can only put zero star.. we are here today Sunday 10:30am, drive 10 miles just to dispose our junk but so dispappointed because its close. Google says open. i will never recommend this place to anyone. its a waste of time and gas.
Limited parking... Weekends always really busy. Weekday mornings usually allows for parking space inside. Other than that, this is my go-to recycling place since the one on Challenger and Ave K closed down
I'm here in a Sunday. I decided ti come because I have a big of recycle items. Goggle says they are open at 9am on a Sunday. Ot here with 2 people waiting. They are CLOSED. Don't advertise that you are open at a certain time when you're not. I came today early before church, started so I can go recycle and get it out of the way.
On Sunday June 14th at 2:43, I ARRIVED at Challenger Recycling. An employee DENIED my entry to turn in my cans & bottles. He said that they are CLOSED. I informed him that according to Google their schedule is 8:00am to 3:00pm. The employees KEPT referring to me as "Bro" which I take total offense to for this is a BUSINESS matter and NOT an informal gathering, I have the GREYEST of beards. The proper way to address me should have been "Sir" OR MR. By this time I had asked for the 'manager', he tells me that they actually closed at ²:40pm.Iased them to show something, anything which would indicate that they close at 2:40pm, he told me that doesn't need to. A third employee enters his 2 cents to basically tell me if I don't like it, so bad. I wll NEVER BEG ANY BUSINESS TO TAKE MY MONEY OR CONDUCT a TRANSACTION WITH. THIS JOKE OF A BUSINESS IS AT THE TOP OF that list.
