Don't come here for smog check at all.
The owner, the smog tech has no knowledge and fail car that pass. The car has no check engine light, no emissions problem, but he failed my car for the bumper came off. He said it fail the smog check because of the bumper that cause my ac conditioning vent. This owner doesn't have any knowledge of smog check and fail people for any reason. Once he failed me and he said call BAR. The phone number is on top of his wall. I tried to take a picture off the phone number and he physically pull me away from taking the picture of the number. And he called police. I can leave without any problems. But you all who are this reviews can feel how horrible the story I got from my experience. Don't come here for any service because they are inexperience of fixing cars and getting failed smog from this place. This is from a cat mechanic that has 10+ years auto repair experience getting ripped off from this shop.
They are very friendly mechanics with reasonable service cost. I recommend buying your car authentic parts at your car dealership first and having these guys installed. You will save a lot of money. Moreover, you need to make an appointment first for at least 2 weeks. They are very busy.

I have taken all my cars to Lims for at least 15 years and have always had a good experience. This last time I had a tune up and the timing belt was changed. It wasn't lined up and it began to tear. I called him and he of course was more than willing to fix. I understand work can not be great 100% of the time, what matters is they were glad to fix without issues. Only reason that I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars. I will still take my cars to Lims.
My car recently had an oil leak, so I had it fixed here. They fixed it very quickly and it's been working fine ever since. After that, I had a hard time starting the car, so I changed the car battery and the key battery, but the car still had a hard time starting. I came here again to check that issues. I thought start motor is something wrong. Mr. Lim checked everything and said there was no problem. Then he found that my keychain had another car key that can connected wrong way. That's the problem. I was happy that the issue was nothing. I am so thankful to him and tried to pay for it, but he told me just go don't need to pay it. If I went to other technician, he would have just replaced the faulty part or something and charged. Mr. Lim, he is not that soft guy, but he has the best skills about car and honest mind. so you can trust him about your car problem. It will be solved correctly with very reasonable price.

My friend needed his headlight changed and they let us pull up, stay in the car and we were done in under 10 minutes for a very reasonable price. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. It was a fantastic experience!
I've been a customer for years now, never a complaint quite frankly Peter is a great mechanic and I trust him and his business. He doesn't overcharge and he's very truthful on his advice!
Mr Lim gives honest recommendations on what really needs to be serviced on my autos. He’s been taking care of my cars for over 15 years and I trust him like a relative. And his team gets it done and right all the time.

Where do I start?.... Peter Lim is so good, honest and such a nice gentleman. I took my ladys car to him after I replaced the suction A/C hose(low side) because the valve port wouldn't come out to evacuate the system to charge freon. Well after checking the system he was able to find the expansion valve clogged up, also the receiver dryer partially clogged as well. Peter Lim gave me a good straight up estimate to replace both failing parts and vacuum and recharge the A/C
Like always was able to give him a tip for the grand work they performed on our 1999 Honda Accord Lx 2.3 VTEC. I saved so much by going to him. Recommend you all do too and go see him with maintenance and or repair. You won't be sorry. He will tell you what is wrong or happening and explain everything thoroughly. No nonsense approach, straight to the facts, and very knowledgeable. I recommend this place of establishment to all needing maintenance or repair to all. Let me start off by saying, UPDATE!! Boy Peter Lim is a true honest and great Technian. I took him my Son's 08 Dodge Avenger to find an open short in the passenger side front window. Window had no power to the passenger side window switch. Window just went up and down. End result was 2 broken wires wiring harness. 1 from master switches on driver's side door and 1 broken wire on the Passenger side door. He only had the cat for 2 days. Not only that but did it for 100 I approved of....the window works like a champ. I even got to leave him a 20 dollar tip for doing it at that discounted price. Regular price would have been somewhere in the 200 price range. So if anyone wants to drop my name... who knows you might even get a Jesse price??? The truth to my story is that a true and honest mechanic is hard to find these days. Took my car here because I was hearing grinding when stepping on the brakes because my boyfriend recommended them. I was able to take it Saturday morning and they were able to do my brakes and rotors and my car was done by noon!
Did a great job and at an unbelievable price. Will definitely be my "go to" mechanic! Doesnt have all the bells and whistles and extravagant shop setup like the big name places, BUT... honest work and prices. Exactly what I'm looking for! Thank you

I have been going to Mr. Lim's for over 5 years. He is a very honest man, he takes care of your car, explains everything, gives you a price up front and will keep you posted on anything else he finds wrong, and will not surprise you with extra and unnecessary work or charges.
I took the dealer's list of recommendations for my Honda CRV exceeding $2,600. One of the items on it was the water pump, the dealer kept insisting that it needed to be replaced. I took the car to Mr. Lim, he inspected my car, did a tune up and oil change, which by the way was supposed to have been done by the dealer the week before, and walked out of there with a $34.00 bill. It has been over 5 years, I still have not changed the water pump. I will drive 15 miles and wait half a day because I know my car and my wallet are in good, honest hands. I recommend Mr. Peter Lim to anyone that does not want to be taken advantage of. 5 Stars, if there was 10 star rating I would give him 10....
Been going to here for a few years already. They are very professional and honest.
On routine maintenance they will give you their honest opinion and if they think the part still has some life in it they will let you know instead of taking the sale.
Had a check engine light on our aging 2005 Corolla, Peter tried a few things and what didn't work he just refund me!

I had known and patronized him for all my cars until recently but a friend told me he only work on Japanes cars now, is this true? BTW, Peter is a great guy but his wife watches him like a HAWK if he is friendly with attractive girls...😂😂😂
Peter has done maintenance and repairs on my car, my parents cars, and most of my siblings' cars for many years. Consistently inexpensive and always willing to do only what you ask for or absolutely need done. He'll often tell you how to do your own repair, then send you on your way without charging a fee. I highly recommend him.
