Been here once but not to swim. I was thrilled to see an E Clampus Vitus plaque. Definitely gotta go back with the Mrs.

We spent one night tent camping here — originally planned for two nights — as we skied June Mt. It’s a beautiful campground. However, the showers require tokens to use — fine, but you can only get the tokens during business hours (generally 11AM-6PM). Coin op or just including the showers in the not-to-cheap campground fees would improve it. The hours on the pool and hot spring area were pretty restrictive as well - no morning or evening swims generally, save one night a week. Without showers or the hot spring, I would rather save the $39 / day for dry tent camping ($35 campsite, plus 2 showers) just camp on the nearby BLM land. For tent campers just passing through and not setting up for several days, this is not your campground.

It was a fun place to stop on our roadtrip. Kids loved the pools and did not want to leave. Changing rooms were great, there was some food and snacks and gift shop. Water temperature in the big pool was great - not too hot, kids could spend a lot of time playing and swimming in there. Did not try hot pool by myself since I have little kid on me but older kids loved hot pool as well. Restrooms in the changing rooms could be much cleaner and should have have lock - that was the only issue. We loved swimming in there.

Easy to find and get to. Seems like a great place to take children, but some quiet places can also be found. There is an upper warmer pool and a lower - and much larger - cooler pool

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our time having lunch at one of the Day Use picnic tables and swimming pools. We spent about an hour eating lunch and an hour swimming. We were there from 3pm-5pm and it was really busy. It’s not a quiet, relaxing type of place. Come mentally prepared to get water splashed in your face by kids and there being lots of noise. Overall, we were glad to try this place out, may return with my family. Ps. Stopped by the free natural hot springs on the way in. The water was warm… not as hot as we would have liked.

I stopped here overnight to car camp. I got the day pass while I was here to enjoy the developed hot springs pool on their property and I would say it was worth it. I would have felt awkward setting up a tent here because the car camping spots are kind of in the middle of everything (at least mine was). But since I sleep in my car I felt a bit more stealthy or that I had more privacy. The developed pools in the resort are nice. There is a shallow hot pool that was enjoyable and a larger warm pool that I would alternate between. There are also natural hot springs that are free to use just outside of the property that I also found and enjoyed.

This is a true 2-star hot springs facility. The building is clean but quite old, with hot spring water pumped into a large, shallow hot-tub area adjacent to a warm-water pool that features a cooling spray. Soap and shampoo are not permitted, which is understandable given that the water must run off; however, the presence of people—including babies wearing diapers—does raise some questions about overall water cleanliness. The showers themselves are dated, and although signs clearly prohibit soap use, there are empty soap dispensers still mounted in the stalls, which adds to the sense that the facility has not been updated in some time. The hot springs are attached to a trailer park, which appears clean and well kept. Overall, this is a very simple, old-style way to enjoy hot springs in a building setting, with extremely basic amenities and no true bathing facilities—appropriate for those seeking a modest, utilitarian experience rather than comfort or modern spa features. (I wasn’t comfortable taking pics of the showers and pool area because there were several patrons.)

Keough’s Hot Springs, about seven miles south of Bishop center, and a short distance west of U.S. Highway 395, is a very nice place for a relaxing soak and/or camping with RV or tent. We stayed two nights in a RV and enjoyed the enclosed, thermally heated pool on multiple occasions. There are places in the immediate area for natural swimming but they come with a bacterial advisory. Everything was nicely affordable and the staff is friendly and helpful. There is a hiking path on site (Rock Garden Trail) which is quite interesting. While Keough’s may appear to be a bit dated, keep in mind that it is also very old and historic. Very much recommended.

I love Keoughs! It is a happy place! I love to swim and the employees have always been kind to me. The hot pool is an excellent way to soothe an aching back.

Top tier and was with no one around. Beautiful. Was cloudy so I couldn’t see snow covered mountains for epic scene but was still solid. DONT INHALE WATER THROUGH THE NOSE or get brain eating bacteria

We had a wonderful time at Keough’s Hot Springs! From the moment we arrived, the setting was beautiful and very relaxing. The hot springs themselves were a highlight—warm, inviting, and perfect for unwinding. The swimming pool added a fun, refreshing option for a change of pace, and we enjoyed floating and relaxing in the sun beside it. One pleasant surprise was the snack bar: we weren’t expecting food, but discovered that it offered some delicious-looking selections which made our afternoon break even more enjoyable. It was nice to have the convenience of grabbing something to eat without leaving the property. In short, everything we experienced was positive—great natural hot springs, a good pool, and a surprisingly good snack bar. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Unfortunate experience. I live in a nearby town. I made a reservation to camp, but couldn’t make it there that night. Since all their dry campsites were sitting empty, I asked if I could apply the camping fee to the next night. I was told there’s zero options for that. Seems unnecessarily harsh especially since it’s the off-season and I’m a local. Makes me not want to return ever.

Always a good time Keoghs with our rv. Janet was great! Only bummer was an apparent resident near our site that wanted to share her politics with everyone. She moved the sign from her porch to the road to make sure we would see it. And right after the Middle East Peace agreement! Really?

I did not stay here, just came for the hot spring. Not a lot of maintained hot spring pools like this around, and having loved them out in Colorado I was excited! I was, admittingly, concerned by some of the negative reviews. Being turned away after paying b/c it was too full (no refunds), not the greatest bathrooms/changing rooms. Honestly? I had NO issue. You can see the pools right where you pay and go right in, you can decide if too crowded or not. The changing areas / bathrooms are basic but fine enough. Anyhow, we absolutely LOVED their setup. The main large pool is more like a heated pool (warm, not hot). It has a large sprinkler on half of it, creating ice-cold artificial rain. I absolutely LOVED this feature, going from the warm pool with cold rain over to the other section - The smaller covered pool that is very hot water. It also has a slop so you can find the perfect depth. We spent about an hour here and felt very rejuvenated after.

Campground is good. Older buildings rustic but good. People live in trailers there. It was fine. Quiet. Hot springs two pools 90 degree and 104 degree. Enjoyed it.

First time here, me and my family and we had a blast, nice place to relax after some hiking. We are definitely coming back.

DON'T STAY HERE! What started as a pleasant family overnight turned into a frustrating and unfortunate experience. My family and I rented three tent cabins Thursday - Friday night. The spring fed pool and bath are definitely unique, but the facilities are in obvious disrepair. The bathrooms were moldy and not cleaned. Then the Monday after our stay I receive notice that I'm being charged $40 for a pillow that was taken from one of our cabins. We didn't take the pillow (but how do we prove that?) I called to try to better understand, and explain. The woman who answered my call was rude and continued to argue that we stole took the pillow and stained a comforter. This place will accuse you of ridiculous things you didn't do and shake you down for every last cent. Save your time and money and don't visit!

After a long day of hiking we were looking forward to the hot springs. We arrived just after 4. The snack shop closed at 5 and the pool closed at 6. They don’t open again until 11am. The pool was 89 deg and nice to swim in. The hot tub was very large and shoulder deep when sitting. We stayed in a tent - the Adirondack chairs were broken (missing arms, etc). The bed was adequate but the whole thing needs a little maintenance. The staff we interacted with were very pleasant. For the price, I’d probably do a hotel in town. Also - we saw a sign that said the pool is closed on Tuesdays.

We were there last May. It was absolutely stunning beautiful we have a trailer and it was such a nice camp spot for a few nights. Explored the surrounding areas. Can’t wait to go back absolutely beautiful.

Great pool to visit. Staff is very nice and good with kids. Water is the perfect temperature, I recommend learning about it before visiting to get an understanding. Definitely worth going.

No rooms to rate. Maybe just the one large dressing room. It was clean & a sign saying use the baskets to store your stuff. We were greeted and checked in immediately. The water for the showers were warm & cold. The cold water force me to exit quickly. Unpleasant experience. The location is very nice. The pool with a spray was refreshing. The hot pool was nice and relaxing. We stop here every year on our way to northern CA and always look forward to stopping here.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were nice to us and helpful. There was a mix up with our site, however it worked out. We ended up with site 19C which was fine, but there is little shade there. There was a fire pit and table and it wasn't far the bathroom. The pool area was pleasant and relaxing and the snack bar had fun options. The gift shop was also good. There is a natural hotspring off the main road, it isn't really advertised you should ask how to get there. They don't post enough online about their location, but it is really worth checking out if you want a chill spot with swimming around.

So I just wanted to clarify because some of the photos can be misleading , they get their water from a real natural hot springs that is down the road when I found this place I was under the impression that the entrance fee is for the pool and for the natural hot springs since it’s on the photos . Since me and my boyfriend wanted to be in the real hot springs we asked how we could get to it ,the lady in the front told me she didn’t know but I honestly think they were just gate keeping it or didn’t want us to find it for some reason . After looking for 30 minutes we finally found it , you need to drive down the road you came from and about half way there’s a entrance gate , you’ll see a few cars parked in the distance . Clothing is optional and I wouldn’t recommend bringing four kids here , for that take them to the actual pool . I didn’t get to swim in the man made pool area but it looked inviting , clean , they have a bunch of snacks / drinks .

Back in 1990’s me, my mom and dad lived at Keough’s, my dad helped with some maintenance around the resort but my parent’s main job was caregivers of an elderly woman named Evelyn. They performed this job until Evelyns passing at age 98. Yes 98. Many of the people who have had the privilege of living at Keough’s Hot Springs have been known to live beyond age 100. One must assume the natural mineral spring water has to play a major role in this. That is the water that to this day is used in the pool at the resort. Fast forward to 2025, Keough’s Hot Springs is still the hidden treasure it has been since then, if not even more so. From the unique experience of the tent cabins that can be rented, to the pool with what I would call an artificial waterfall, not to mention the ultra relaxing hot pool that melts away aches and pains. Keough’s Hot Springs is a place that anyone needs to visit if given the chance.

The water is hot. That’s the main reason to go, and it consistently delivers. It’s generally peaceful. No drunken parties or surprise nudity. The price is reasonable. The facility is rough around the edges. There’s carpet in the locker rooms. The water fountain could put your eye out if you’re not paying attention. The pool bottom is abrasive. A lot of things don’t work, including the clock on the wall, so you’ll have to take the staff’s word for when it’s closing time. As closing approaches, the staff mood shifts from mildly annoyed to openly hostile. It’s best to start gathering your things before they come around. Birds nest in the rafters above the hot pool. Sometimes they poop. The urinal requires standing in a mystery puddle. Still, I’m a regular. It’s not perfect, but it’s hot, it’s nearby, and it’s part of the routine.

If you need to chill down after your heavy hikes around Bishop, you shouldn’t miss this hot spring. It was clean and family-friendly. It has two pools, the smaller one with hot water and bigger pool is normal. It’s amazing feeling because you are surrounded by mountains when you are swimming under the sun. It has also RV parking l, benches outside to picnic and a trail to hike

We camped in a tent over the July 4th weekend and it was really hot. We made late reservations and were able to secure a camping spot. If you arrive after 6:00 pm, you cannot use the showers because you need a token which must be purchased before the shop closes. After hiking all day before we reached our campsite, and not having access to a shower was pretty disappointing. Our spot next to a big rock and historical non-functional cabins was crawling with ants, which was a little unsettling. The hot springs were enjoyable, relaxing and very popular. We planned on staying three nights, but left after two when we saw roaches at our campsite. Not the best place to camp with a tent on the ground.
