My car broke down outside of Bishop this weekend, and Chris from Mr. K’s was incredibly professional and helpful. He’s a great guy with tons of experience, and I would highly recommend him. Thanks for the tow Chris!

My husband and I were camping at Convict lake last week, and our front brakes took a dive. We needed rotors and pads. We went to Steve’s auto and truck parts in Bishop. We purchased the parts, with my husband thinking he would install himself. He asked if there was a good garage in town, and one of the counter Clerks recommended Mr K. He made a phone call to them, they told him we could come right over and ask for Mike.we did, and we were back on the road In 2 hours! Mike is terrific! and the customer Service was stellar! We give 10 ⭐️ to this business!!!

We were caught out of town with a radiator issue that prevented us from driving. It was late at night and we called AAA. They sent Mr. K’s towing service to our location. We have a 8000 pound renovated van and they accommodated us with no trouble! The tow truck driver was extremely conscientious and used the utmost care in loading and unloading our vehicle. He communicated with us frequently as to his arrival time - highly recommend this business!

Mr. K’s went above and beyond for us. I highly recommend their service. Jim is very knowledgeable and solved our issue speedily.

I heard something dragging under my car. I pulled over near the dollar tree,got out and looked under my car. There was this plastic piece hanging down at the front,I looked up and right across the street was Mr.K. so I dove across the street ,fingers crossed , that they could help me , not to mention it was about 10 minutes before 5pm. I walked in ,explained the problem to the lady behind the desk,she replied she thought it was the dust pan,she walked out with me, looked under the car and said it definitely was the dust pan. Mike and another man fixed the issue within 10 minutes. They were so nice and professional and saved the day. Thank you so much for helping me out. Greatly appreciated.

Mike and the Mr. K Automotive team are the best! I came into town on vacation and lost A/C. Mike was able to squeeze me in and fix my truck and was able to enjoy my trip.

Mr. K’s is amazing. After getting locked out of my car around 7am, the man arrived quickly even after working till 4am and was as kind as could be. He made quick work of the issue and was extremely polite (I have no idea how given he was up all night!). Love this place and the people who work there.

My favorite mechanic. I take my diesel here and Mike has always taken care of my truck and explained everything. Have used their lockout/jumpstart service on both my work and personal trucks and Kris is super fast, kind and courteous. Fair rates, quick work and can get you in fast when needed. As a young woman, taking vehicles into the shop has always intimidated me but I’ve gotten nothing but good friendly service here.

I had aakor breakdown with my Toyota Sequoia and the driver, Chris was extremely professional, helpful and caring. He saved the day!

Hardworking & Honest shop! Got my truck towed there, I wasn't certain what the issue was. Mike the mechanic diagnosed the issue correctly & made the repair to get me back on the road. So relieving to have work done at a shop by fair & honest people!

Mr K Automotive saved us while on the road. Our truck alternator failed while we were rolling into town. We were on the road from Washington State. Me and my wife have been hitting several National parks in our trailer I was able to find a parking lot to leave my trailer, and then get to Mr K's. They were able to replace the alternator and 2 batteries within an hour. We were able to continue our trip without an issues. Thanks! Really appreciate the help and great service. Rick and Heahter

Brought my car in end of the summer for valve cover gasket and front end alignment. Asked for 0° camber. Was told that my struts were bent (even though they were brand new Bilsteins) and they couldn’t get my alignment to 0°. Personally inspected and had another shop inspected to find that the struts were perfectly fine. Inner tire wear came on hard and started showing cables and was forced to buy a full set of tires. Oil from the valve cover gasket job was not cleaned off the engine block so it smelled like burning oil for a while and yes we checked for other potential locations for an oil leak to find nothing after cleaning and driving for a while. Lady at the front desk double scheduled two large projects while mine was in resulting in making me leave my car there for a couple days even though I was told it’s a half a day to a full day job. The guys were nice but honestly I’m a one time and done person if I feel like I get screwed over and won’t be returning. Especially after having to buy a full set of tires because of carelessness or negligence.

I had a plastic (not great) radiator hose coupler crack on me while I was driving down to Bishop from Mammoth. I was worried I would have a hard time getting it towed in such a rural area to a town 45 mins away but Chris was able to pick me up and give my car a tow all the way back up the Sherwin grade. Good tow company but good luck finding a mechanic to work on your vehicle that isn't booked out 3 weeks in advance if you're passing through. Luckily for me I was able to resolve the issue myself with a generic 3/4" coupler and hose clamps from NAPA.

I have several friends that have used them and they have repeatedly over looked stuff that is going to go out later while giving you the vehicle back and or breaking something else and not telling you so you have to keep bringing the vehicle back. One friend spent over 5000$ there having to keep going back and its a nice truck!

A quick thanks to the team. After a tyre blow out on a rental car with on spare. The tow truck driver provided good conversation on the 60 mile round trip as well as organising an "after hours" tyre shop (Perez Quality Tires) to supply & fit a new tyre so we could continue our OS holiday, Vegas here we come!

We had mechanical issues on a Saturday, and contacted AAA for the tow. Jordan from Mr K came to our aid. He went way beyond what was required, taking us to 3 different mechanics in Bishop, and making calls to get my car serviced on a Saturday. I could not thank him enough for his willingness to go the extra mile. Thanks, Jordan!

My Honda CRV's Car Battery died on May 1, 2022, and I got stranded during a road trip at Rock Creek Lake in Bishop, CA. My friend drove me down to town so that I could call AAA. I was connected to Ed with Mr. K Towing. Ed followed up with a phone call, explaining that he was running behind schedule due to Fishing Season just opening up, with more towing service calls than usual. I waited 2 hours for Ed to show up. My friend drove us up the mountain, and Ed arrived to the spot. Thankfully it was a simple Jump Start, and I was back on the road! Definitely worth the wait! Ed explained to me that Mr. K does not offer Battery Service, because it would compete against the Auto Parts businesses in the small town of Bishop, CA. He recommended that I get a new Car Battery from O'Reilly Auto Parts in Bishop, CA, which I did. Ed was very courteous and very helpful! So helpful, that others nearby who were also stranded and saw his Tow Truck passing through, walked up to him to ask for roadside assistance right after mine was completed. Now I know where to go if I need towing and/or Auto Repair Services again while in Bishop, CA. Thank you so much, Ed and Mr. K Automotive!

Mr. K's has a good reputation in Bishop, but anyone expecting AAA covered services will find only sketchy help, particularly if you are driving an RV. They no longer offer roadside battery replacement (only jump) and they cannot tow even a small motorhome with their current equipment. Despite paying for extra RV coverage for years, I had to scour through listings to get what I needed, at my own expense.

My dad and I decided to try our luck with fishing by a river located off a sandy road off the main highway. To make a long story short, we got stuck in the sand and we exhausted ourselves trying to find someone to pull us out until Vance from Mr. K saved the day! He called us soon after we left a voice message and from there our hope was restored and they were great! Thank you Mr. K and your driver who was young but very knowledgeable and helpful! We highly recommend Mr. K’s towing service.

Can't thank our tow truck driver Chris enough for picking us & our dog up after being stranded on 395 for 3 hours yesterday. Super professional, courteous, & friendly during our 36 mile drive back to civilization. The shop was also helpful providing a jump for us even though we weren't able to get our truck fixed there due to time constraints! Great Service! Thanks Mr. K's!!

There are honest people in the world. We had a completely dead battery when we returned to our car after a backpacking trip. Luckily, we were able to get jumped quickly by someone else at the trailhead. My wife stopped at Mr. K in Bishop, CA to have the battery replaced, but the mechanic at Mr. K tested the battery and confirmed that there was nothing wrong with it. He definitely could have told my wife that it needed to be replaced but he was honest and didn't take advantage of the situation. Much appreciated.

I was driving down the 395 back from Mammoth and the "Low Voltage" indicator turned on in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I initially thought the problem was Battery-related. In pulling into Mr. K's shop for a quick-fix before making the long haul back to LA, they were able to identify the issue as a water pump failure > affecting the alternator > pulling down battery power. Mr. K's mechanics were able to have me back on the road within a few hours. Staff was compassionate, completely understanding of my time sensitivity to return to Los Angeles, and very professional. Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wow, the folks at Mr K saved my trip. The "Legendary Diesel Repair" place in town could not even look at my vehicle until the following week. I made my appointment at Mr K for the next day at 8 and I was back on the road by 10, and the rate was more than reasonable. I went back to cancel my appointment I no longer needed with the "Legend". I got the impression they are more interested in servicing commercial accounts anyway. Mr K has gained a new customer and I will share this with my diesel owning friends who visit the area.

Mr. K's gave us incredible service! Our alternator went out on the way to Mammoth, and they had our car fixed and ready to go within 2 1/2 hours. Milton was fantastic! The staff was terrific!
