Billies High Sierra Transport was a life saver when our truck/camper broke down on us. We had a hard time getting anyone to come out but Billie came through for us. He handled everything from loading our truck to delivery with complete professionalism. We were very impressed with his service and highly recommend him to anyone in need of towing! Five star service without a doubt!

My trailer broke down during a rental and roadside assigned Billie's High Sierra Transport. From the very first call, the owner, Billie Edmund Lozano, was defensive and rude, refusing to give me a straight ETA.
After I canceled the tow, he began calling me back-to-back, threatening to impound my trailer and "ruin my life." When I told him I wouldn't be strong-armed into doing business with him, he suddenly changed his story--from being 3-4 hours away to claiming he was "already on site" so he could charge a show-up fee.
It escalated further when he claimed the store owner where my trailer was parked had asked him to impound it and that I had 15 minutes to get there--knowing full well I was over 4 hours away.
At that point, I had no choice but to call the police and file a report in case my trailer was stolen or damaged before another tow company arrived.
This behavior was completely unprofessional, dishonest, and aggressive. Avoid this company at all costs. No customer should ever have to deal with threats and intimidation from a tow operator.
Billie and Dawn saved us! On the way back to Reno from LA, we had just made it past Mammoth on 395 when we blew a tire. We drive a Tesla and have Tesla insurance…Let me tell you how difficult it is to find someone to service a Tesla when you’re in the middle of nowhere after 5pm. After spending over 2 hours on the phone hoping insurance would get us anywhere other than on the highway, a quick Google search led us to Billie’s High Sierra Transport and Tow. We explained our situation (while on hold with insurance) and without hesitation he first helped us out by texting the local tire shop owner to see if he had our type of tire in stock.. which they did! After a few more back and forths with the insurance, Billie totally saved the day and said he would tow us back to Bishop to the shop for our tire to be repaired in the morning (saving us from having to get towed all the way to Reno!) Dawn (who is a total badass!) showed up, got us all hooked up, and drove us into town. She was beyond cheerful and we truly enjoyed our car ride conversation. She even dropped us off at our hotel, as it was almost 11pm at this point. I can’t begin to say enough wonderful things about these two and their business! No one ever wants to break down, but if you do and you’re in the Bishop area.. call Billie’s!!
Billie’s saved me at a time when I was on vacation and left stranded in Bishop with no rental car and AAA could not fulfill their obligation. Absolutely wonderful family owned operation that really takes pride in helping others at a terrible time. I can’t say enough good things about the care that was given to me and my vehicle. I hope I never need them again, but if I do I know who I am going to call. Thank you!!
One of the best guys you could ever hope to meet! Seriously went out of his way to help my girlfriend and I out when a bad tank of diesel gelled on me over night in Mammoth. He saved me a ton of money and was super knowledgeable. I can't recommend him enough!
My family had a very unfortunate set back on our way from California to North Dakota. Once I called Billies they handled everything very quickly and professionally. Everyone was so nice and the tow truck driver even took my boyfriend some water ?? The prices are more than fair and the service we received was top notch. Wish they would have been my first call, make sure they are yours!
These good folks help tugged me & dorthy the truck out . Rate was fair for California price , but these folks earned every penny of my money well spent . Bill & his wife came at dark … and with their 40 years of towing experiences. Out came my 36k pound gross weight . Towards the end .. bill even drove up the road to make sure I can make a turn around without getting stuck again and his wife made sure I was on the road safely again .
Now I can spend the rest of the week with my gf for her birthday and surely ill know who to call when I’m near bishop .give em a try , y’all know what I M talking about .
This review is a retraction of a previous post. I erroneously had posted that I’d received bad service from Billie’s Towing and Recovery in Bishop California. What really happened is that I had been scammed by a call center. I never actually spoke to any one at Billie’s.I spoke to at least 6 different operators, and this went on for nearly 5 hours. And every time they said the tow truck was only 20 minutes away. And after the initial amount that they charged me they told me it was gonna be $250 more. And the excuse was that it was a longer drive for the tow truck and they had to go through construction areas. Which was a lie because it was a Sunday and I had driven north from San Diego and hit no construction between San Diego and Bishop. this review is to retract what I said about Billie’s automotive, they had nothing to do with the terrible service I received, be really careful when calling for a tow truck that they’re actually talking to the real tow company.
Octavio with Billie's High Sierra Transport was amazing. We were stranded in Tonopah, NV, and he towed our beloved Crystal (2022 Volvo XC40 that unfortunately decided to die despite only being a year old) to the Volvo Dealership in Las Vegas. He was a friendly and caring, a literal godsend. I highly recommend Billie's because of Octavio's professionalism and kindness.
It's to long of a story to share but Billie's was absolutely amazing. Billie even advocated for us on a conference call to a nationally known car rental company after hours. I highly recommend Billie's. Best company I have dealt with in years.
I drove to a trailhead near the Tungsten Hills and got myself stuck in deep sand. I called Bill's and was connected with Patty who was so helpful and informative. She explained exactly what they could do and the possible charges then let me know she would contact me when the tow truck was en route (but to call her if I was able to dig myself out to cancel the dispatch). Shortly after, a very nice guy stopped and helped me dig/put down sticks/push the vehicle out. I called Patty back and explained I was now out of the sand and didn't need the tow truck. Since the truck was not dispatched, there was no charge-although I would have happily paid because of the great service. 5 stars 100% recommend. They are now saved in my phone for any roadside emergencies.
Car died on 395 during a snow storm, and needed a tow from mammoth to Los Angeles. Billie helped me out and towed it all the way back to a dealership in van Nuys, when the weather finally let up. Communication was key to their service and they gave me enough status updates. And estimate was fair in my opinion. Will use again if needed near bishop/mammoth.
If you find yourself stuck in the High Sierra's with car issues, these are the people to call. They are professional, polite, and go way above and beyond to help you out. We arrived at our first stop of a 35 day trip and the tire on the RV went flat. We called AAA for service and it took them over 24 hours to get us help because "you are in a rural area and we don't have anyone for service." As I was talking with the AAA agent, I was also looking up service. I saw the add for Billie's and said can you call them. She did and boy am I glad. High Sierra arrived in a timely manner and they were so polite and willing to go out of their way to help. Not only did they change the tire out for our spare, the did their best to get us a new tire before we left our first destination. This included a trip to Reno to get said new tire. Way above and beyond. Thanks Billy and I regret to say I do not remember the other two people who were here to help. All of you are amazing and great. Using Billies High Sierra transport and tow was one of the easiest and most professional experiences I’ve ever had when having a vehicle towed. Billie was not only willing to take the job when no one else would being that it was over a 300 mile tow but he went above and beyond to make sure that I would be able to get back to town and that my car got it’s destination safe and sound. He was completely prepared to deal with my car being that it’s an all wheel drive vehicle and had all the back up tools one might need incase the car wouldn’t go into neutral. In the past I’ve had tow truck drivers who had no clue on how to deal with my car and then left me on the side of the road after not being able to figure out how to get my car onto their truck. This was an entirely different experience and by far the best customer service I’ve had in any industry ever, thanks again Billie.
Our F250 w/camper broke down on the way up to our campsite in Big Pine. Billie and his team went over and beyond to assist my family and I. They were not only able to get our truck and camper off the mountain and transported safely to a local mechanic, they also transported the four of us to our motel.
Recognizing that we had experienced a stressful day, and that we had two children with us, they worked hard to make us comfortable and feel reassured that they had it all covered. They were not only extremely efficient and professional, they were also very empathetic to our situation and patiently waited as we grabbed clean clothes and some basic necessities to take with us to the motel.
We highly recommend them if you should need a vehicle towed, especially a large vehicle. You'll be in good hands with Billie's High Sierra Transport and Tow.

Billy and his crew were very professional and competent. They got me out and to safety in a short amount and, even called and checked on me after we parted. They were very kind, skilled and friendly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company they are wonderful!!!

These guys are the best!! Truck broke down just before Crowley Lake...They were able to not only find us a destination for the night for our trailer, but also able to get our truck to a great, local Mechanic! Joseph was very courteous driver, as well as extremely helpful! These guys are the go to if you guys run into a bind out here! Highly highly highly recommended!
This will go down as some of the best customer service I have experienced, ever! I needed to get an FJ Cruiser with engine trouble from Mammoth Lakes back to Los Angeles. Billie returned my initial call within 5-10 minutes, e-mailed an (extremely reasonable) estimate to me within the hour, was able to schedule me within one day, and delivered the vehicle right on time. All our communication whether by phone, text or e-mail was timely, easy, friendly and understanding. I especially appreciated his flexibility and creativity surrounding the pick-up in Mammoth, which, unlike AAA, did not require me to be present (saving me a 10-hour round trip drive). I'm still a little bit stunned how smooth and easy this was and will definitely be recommending Billie to all my friends in the Eastern Sierra. THANK YOU!!!
Billie is hands down the best tow truck mechanic that we’ve met. He is honest, friendly, and went out of his way to help us. We were stranded about an hour north of Bishop with a campervan that would not move, then Billie arrived and could not have been more considerate and helpful. He diagnosed the issue and made sure we understood the situation to the full extent. Then, we rode back with him to Bishop, where he dropped us off in a safe/convenient spot, came back with the missing part we needed, and connected us with another mechanic just in case. Throughout the whole day, Billie was communicative with us as well as our campervan rental company and did everything he could to make our breakdown experience easier. So, thank you Billie :)

My radiator blew on my truck on Sherwinn grade in 100 degree heat. Billie’s High Sierra Transport was more than accommodating. I had a car trailer too. They responded quickly after AAA could not get anyone there in a reasonable time. They towed both truck and trailer for me and made it as painless as possible. The customer support on the phone was awesome, he worked out a solution to getting my truck to a radiator shop ASAP, unlike the first tow company that I called. These guys will get the job done. I can’t express my thanks enough! And they were cheaper than the other company too.
Bill saved the day today. Our SUV got stuck in the snow and he was able to get us out like the pro he is. We are very thankful to Bill and his partner Travis!

This guy is the best. We were stranded in Lone Pine after driving up from San Diego. Billie's got us up to Bishop, gave us pointers above how to fix the issue that left us stranded, AND was one of those people you talk to who restore your faith that there are good people out there. Bill and Patty saved me! They were the only towing company willing to come out and haul me out of soft dirt. I am SO appreciative. Within 5 minutes of meeting Billie I knew a bad situation was about to turn around. The van wouldn't start at the trailhead at the end of pine creek road. He was extremely courteous and helpful he answered every question I had in a friendly professional manner and when he said "don't worry we will help you out" you knew he would. If you are ever in a sticky situation along 395 I hope its Billie that turns up to help. I could not recommend him any higher.
