I'm a technician in the industry and these people thought I was some idiot. They diagnosed a bunch of faults incorrectly as to make it very difficult for my self who is a disabled veteran living on a fixed income, to repair. The wholesale prices automotive repair dealers get was marked up from Twenty to two hundred for stabilizer bar links . My car had brand new links and one bushing tightened to much of 8 is not a failure of more than that single bushing. A worn inner tie rod is not reason to replace the entire rack. The technician who diagnosed my car should lose his license and he told me that my rim might explode on the freeway next to a school bus full of kids and cause a accident where kids get killed. I swear on my service in the US army and on my life that what I say is true this shop should be shut down the owner should be fined and the technician fired and not allowed to work in the industry with a California state license. This is how they treat an honorably discharged decorated veteran of the US Army. DON'T GO HERE.
Andy at auto tech is great and been using them for a long time for smog for all my and my familyz vehicles.and recently for some diagnostic for a problem i couldnt quite pin down on my 99 ram. It was a very tricky and bizarre issue and though we didnt quite get it figured he really worked at it much more then just a quick diagnostic visit and was super reasonable and informative pointing me in some good directions and ideas of what i could try to better eliminate. With his help and some more wrenching myself i think i finally got it squared away after months of staring at pids on my tablet and trying everything i know to throw at it! They are great folks and the new lady in the office is great as well!
I paid for a diagnosis and was told I was going to pay $318 and they never diagnosed my car ended up keeping my car overnight to fixed nothing and ended up charging me $540 they put a part on that didn’t help anything and was comparing my car to another car with a different engine than mine
Im super super grateful for the people at Auto tech. Super friendly and trust worthy people. I came in in hopes to find out if i needed a new alternator or just had a bad battery and they not only found out that it was just a bad battery but also called around and found the cheapest battery so i didnt break the bank. Everyone i talked to at there shop was friendly and exceeded my expectations. The lady Jo in the office is awesome and beyond helpful
I've been going here for years and very satisfied. Today I had a 3:30 appointment, got there at 3:29, was finished and out of there at 3:37. It cost 68 total.
They prefer cash. There's a 4% surcharge for credit cards which is about what it costs them. Seems fair.
Called for an appointment and was able to get in the next day at a time that was convenient for me. Very quick service!

I would never go back here. I had them do smog on my Jeep Wranglerand then my Mustang after that, everything was great. Then when I was planning a trip to Montana, I took it in for a Trip Check. They charged me $700.00 to top of my fluids, they did nothing elce! They are ok for smogs but NOTHING ELCE. I'll never go back.
They get the job done and they do it at a reasonable price, but sent my daughter here recently and the staff was rude from the time she scheduled, bad talking the previous owners and again bringing it in for the appointment. Customer service is poor and likely won't go back.
Beware!!!!! Lots of scamming going on here. I paid through a trade for a headgasket job on my 4runner and when we picked it up It still had a blown head gasket and overheated on the way home after being at auto tech and smog for 3 weeks!!! The owner Bill and smog technician Chris do not care they are liars beware. Gasket makers in manteca will take care of your head gasket issues don't waste your time with these low lifes. Honestly hope this place parishes and disapears forever 🙏. Customer -$3000 shop bad karma forever is all we can hope.
This is a business my family has gone to for almost a decade, my first time getting a smog check done on my own car. Quick and professional service, kind people, and a clean shop all around. The gentleman at the front desk (didn’t catch his name) was very helpful, and Chris, the technician, is super cool and knew his stuff. Definitely where I’ll be taking all my cars for anything I need done professionally.
I get my smog at this place. It only took 10 to 15 minutes for them to get me out of there and they were very flexible on what time I can come in the day after my phone call. Friendly people who I will see in a couple more years
I didn't want to say how awesome this place is because I didn't want them to be too busy for me in the future but Andy and the guys at Autotech are amazing and super trustworthy and reliable!!!... especially when your car isn't. THIS IS DEFINITELY THE PLACE YOU WANT. 10 Stars if I could!
Great service, effective and frequent communication for longer repairs, and very fair pricing. Andy really does go the extra mile to get you what you need. I'll be going here again and I'll be sending my family to him as well.
You can search the entire region for a better location for emissions testing...but you will not be successful! It's like I stepped into a time warp. These guys know the importance of service and they arie the masters of implementing it. They are accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable. So glad to have discovered them. I thought great service was a thing of the past. At Autotech it truly lives on.
We have been taking our cars to Autotech for Smogs for over 20 years. Only place we will go. Andy and crew are always honest, friendly, and knowledgeable, and on the few occasions when one of our older cars did not pass, they were extremely helpful in providing the info to resolve the issue, and then come back and re-test. Thank you Autotech for being a shop we can always trust.
When in for a Smog check, they were very professional and very detailed. After preforming the smog check, they told me readings of sensors that that used to perform the smog check. They also gave me recommendations about repairs that where not needed but would present future problems. The person at the front desk was very helpful to the older couple that went before me and even though they had an accent. Overall great experience and good customer service.
Had a free smog and they wouldn't honor it. He said it was expired after a year. Since you can only smog your vehicle every two years that made no sense.. plus said he would give us the coupon deal but yet it was the same price on the wall. Very very frustrated with this, I made a call to GS Smog & repair with no appointment needed and for 60.00 we got our paperwork back and went there. The staff at GS smog were excellent and funny new smog place for sure!!!!
These guys are great. Reasonable prices for smog checks with the coupon on their website. Only issue is they don't take credit/debit cards, and parking is insufficient and awkward.
Couldn't ask more from a smog shop. Affordable price, get you in and out really quickly, techs were friendly enough. I don't think you could ask for a better smog shop. Just be aware they are cash or check only.
Went there last week, told him that my car was sitting for months, plus I had just changed the battery. After it did not pass the test, he tells me I should have told him "all of the above". He said if he had known (which he did!!) he would have NOT start the process as I needed to drive the car first for a while in order to reset the "system's self-check"!!! Well, won't see me again!

I have been taking my vehicles here for nearly 9 years and have always been more than satisfied with the repairs and costs. Andy and Bill are the best and really seem to care about my family and keeping us on the road. I highly recommend!!
I always go to Autotech for my smogs. Their price is always reasonable. They check the vehicle to make sure there are no codes and the IMs are ready. If they are not they tell you and there is no charge. They try to make sure that your vehicle will pass. They don't try to take advantage as I have seen other smog shops do. I highly recommend them.
