I took in 600lbs of raw clean lead. I was paid 103.52. That's very low on today's market. Please learn from my mistakes. Drive the extra three miles into Concord and get a fair price for your hard earned recyclables. I also took in two large car batteries. They gave me 9.60 for both. 10 a piece is the bear minimum everywhere else is giving.At that rate it means I gave for free over half my recyclables as if they were a partner or something and they did nothing to earn it . They all have lovely smiles of course but lovely smiles don't pay the bills
Hello everyone, please don't go here if you'd like to receive every penny that your bottles and cans are worth because they will only count up to 50 items a day which isn't worth the trip unless you live across from it. The person who weighed the 300 bottles I had in 2 bags told me that they would only pay per lb even though I had called ahead of time to verify with another person that they could count up to 50 items and weigh the rest which was upsetting. I also only got $9.50 instead of $15 since the CA CRV is 5 cents per bottle which meant that they legally robbed $5.50 just because they don't want to count. They also only pay .05 cents per lb for aluminum cans. I asked when they had placed the limit because I've never had to deal with this in my life living in California until now and they told me that it's always been like that which is a lie. Please stay away from this place if you want to recycle with an honest business.
Took my 2 little kids here, went a little out of the way to try this smaller family run recycling center, been here once before would come again. They were helpful when I forgot my ID and accepted my recycling.
I have been this place for recyle bottles twice. I just felt the price is a little short but the staff and owner seems cooperative are charming. The only thing that the customer need to be mindful is that all bottles must sort thoroughfully. For example, you will sort the clear, green, brown glass bottles separately and also for plastic bottles different color. They don't buy cardboard but have a dumper if you want to dump cardboard. Almost all wine bottles and alcohol bottles are not buying as well. Their parking lot is a little tight and all sorting buckets are stink.
Convenient location, very friendly and hardworking.
Take caps off of plastic, easier to minimize bottle. Definitely a big time saver from long lines at other recycling centers locally.
Suns Recycling was cool just remember to take the caps off your bottles. I didnt even know about this place but its right by the naval weapon station. The people are friendly and it was cool again
No wait time. People aren't the friendliest but it's a recycling center....how friendly do you expect them to be? Plus I think it's probably a cultural thing. Have your ID and dont have dirty recycling and you'll be good. Know the laws (its posted everywhere in there).
This place is terrible. People who work there are jokers. I would never visit this again. I went there today with my kid 4/6/2019 and firstly there was nobody in then one Chinese man appear and told me to put everything in 1 bin. He look at my bags and said he will not charge me money to leave this there. I said what money? I am coming to receive money for these plastic bottles not to pay you. He was laughing all the time then brought me inside where weight the bags and showed me 1 pound cost $18. OK all good but he removed half of my things telling he is taking only water bottles but not milk, not juice and not vinegar or cooking oil bottles. He said my other option is to give him only 50 bottles and come back tomorrow for another 50. I said we are 2 people can leave 100 he said no because only I have ID and the kid does not. OK I agree and continue to the weight. There one lady behind the glass checked and gave me receipt to sign. Everything I got was $5 and 75 cents. All this for 5 bags full with bottles. I asked how can that be I left over 200 bottles. She said this is estimate. If I want I can take all back and go to another place. I spent $10 for gas for my car to go there plus 1 hour time.
I would strongly suggest all people avoid this place. Customer service is level 0. I would not give any star but my only option is to give 1 star. Never ever go there. Please do not go too! Ah and at the end the Chinese guy told me to take my other bottles that were not from water and he refused to take them to the trash because he said I am a trouble. I had to pack all again and put it back to my car to my home where I put it in the trash.
The lady refused to give us our full refund! My roommate took our plastic and aluminum down and when it came time for the payout, she only would pay the whole dollar amount! When he questioned her, she just kept yelling that she "gave him his refund!" Not only that, she yelled at him for having one, ONE steel can mixed in the hundreds of cans of aluminum. Sorry! We live in the neighborhood of clyde they are located in, so this is very un-neighbor like behavior. We'll go somewhere else for now on even though its farther.
