I want to give a huge shoutout to Afshawn at the San Ramon O’Reilly Auto Parts! He was absolutely amazing — friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to help fix a headlight for my friend. Not only did he find the right part quickly, but he even took the time to install it for us. You don’t often come across such genuine, helpful service these days.

The past couple of days my beloved 2009 Mazdaspeed3 (160k+ miles) has been slow to start in the mornings. I read the reviews where multiple people mention that O'Reilly will install your battery, so I dropped by.
When I walked in, I was helped by Tyler. I asked for a battery for my car, and he looked up the type needed. There was a note in the system about needing a different battery type for automatics vs manuals for my model (I drive stick) so he did a bit more research to confirm we get the appropriate battery.
While he was checking, I wondered out loud if it really is my battery or if it could be my starter or alternator. Tyler mentioned they could do a quick diagnosis so he grabbed the tester, we went out to my car and he checked the battery/starter/alternator.
Once we confirmed everything else was fine, Tyler went ahead and showed me the different batteries available, their price points, and why he would choose one over the other.
Armed with his helpful insights, I made my decision. Tyler helped install the battery and took my old one. All the while he was extremely professional and also gave me tips on saving money on maintenance. What a great experience - will definitely come to O'Reilly next time I need help and advice.
I just wanted to share my wonderful experience at the O’Reilly’s in San Ramon on San Ramon Valley. Tyler especially he was amazing, I needed to have a bad battery replaced In a European car so needless to say it was not a simple task, but he did it with a positive attitude and great customer service!
Bought a Aux Battery and a extension for my ratchet. The person in the counter was knowledgeable and was quick to let me know of where to find these items
Really nice people that work here who are happy to help. I have to say it was a slight surprise when I walked in and was immediately greeted by an employee. I am not used to them taking that time to do that when I would walk into other stores. I had come in to get a new battery for my wife's car. I was teaching my teen to drive at the time and we had decided to go get a battery replacement, so that I could teach him how to change a battery. We walked in, was greeted, and was instantly helped by the nice you man behind the counter. He helped me find what I needed in a relatively short amount of time, he had to go grab the one I needed. I had asked for some loaner tools to be able to change out the battery and he walked me through the process of the tool rental (you on only need to give them an ID). We then went out front, I taught my kid how to change a battery, and then we went back in for the core charge refund and to give the tools back. All in all a great experience for myself and for my kid to learn some basic car skills.
I couldn't have been more happier or appreciative of Mark. Even though he's only been there a short time, I never would have known with his friendly demeanor, knowledge, and dedication to the job. Especially since my car battery was difficult to remove, he was very considerate of the process and had a new battery installed shortly after. I hope nothing but the best for him and I hope he'll be there again if I need to return!

Sometimes of course you can find prices online cheaper so that's the only reason it's not a five-star.
I am a former Nordstrom manager, so customer service is a big deal to me. Tyler at San Ramon O’Reily went so far above and beyond with his level of service, that I am blown away by his commitment to his guests.
Not only did he help me find the headlamp and wiper blades to fit my incredibly ancient 2008 Highlander, not only did he help me install both, he also showed me how to do it myself if I’m ever in a jam and need to know how to do it!
Tyler is a gem- give him a huge raise and recognize his level of service, please!
I’m just spoke to someone at the store to install/ replace my 12v battery. He says, you can buy battery here but we will not be able to replace. This is a big surprise to me as we have seen comments showing batteries are replaced. He was saying it is hard to replace battery in Toyota plug in hybrid ( I’m not asking to replace other set of batteries). A BIG NO for this location for me next time
Went to get some wiper blades. Mohammed was so helpful on finding the correct si e and even came out to my car to help me install them since mine were a little tricky to get install.
Big shout out to Shawn for helping me with picking a battery, then removing old battery, and installing a new one. Really appreciate the team here. Nice and organized store and really helpful staff. Would highly recommend.
They will do some free installs, so don't hesitate to visit for your automotive needs.
Shoutout to all the staff for their amazing customer service! I used to go to a different nearby auto parts store but was given nothing but snobby customer service. I came into O’Reillys and was blown away with the genuine customer support and great stock. Nothing but positive things for this branch!
Today I came to the store first time to buy something for my car. Nobody suggested me any help. When I tried to find what I need, I heard that two sellers, women and men, talk a joke about me. I left the store without buing anithing. It's really hurted me. I understand, we are all different and look different. And I just want to say - please, be kinder....
Our Vehicle broke down while visiting the area, they had parts on hand and we were able to search for a questionable part with the manager. Very helpful staff, clean and organized facility, and they had the inventory that was available online.
Was able to get the brake parts I needed. Made multiple trips with the staff being very helpful and friendly. They had parts waiting for me after I called for one of the trips.
Awesome customer service! Pouring rain, challenging windshield wipers and 2 guys - both Mikes - installed them, fixing the wiper bases that had apparently been bent! I will be back in the future, for sure!!
Went in to get a replacement part, first time they presented me a used part that looked worse off than the core I had, second time was presented with a plasti-dipped version of likely the part I decline two days before. Something sketchy is going on there, spray painting parts to make them look new?
Rude Assistant manager and employees. They don’t care about your patronage and don’t take pride in their customer service. The customers are just a nuisance to the employees here. You are better off shopping online for your auto needs.
I was offered help immediately upon entering the store. The man looked up the part numbers of what I said I needed and got them for me, and told me a different place to shop when something I needed was not carried by them. He seemed genuinely to want me to get my needs met.
Friendly knowledgeable people. Had to drive to this store to get brake rotors turned. Takes about 30 minutes to an hour depending how busy they are. I was able to find syntetic caliper paste plus all the commonly found supplies and parts I required.
I went into O’Reilly in San Ramon, CA and I was very unhappy with the service I received. I called about my back light for the back right side of my vehicle. I was asked to bring it in but when I did I wasn’t given any help at all I had to ask if they would look at it to help me install the light. He didn’t want to come out and help me. he looked at it and basically told me how I could replace the light myself. I called another store in Dublin, CA and they told me to come in and they would see if they could put the light in for me. He did and found out the other person gave me the wrong light. I feel it is wrong to deny help because of a persons race. I will never go to that auto store again.
Came in with a dead battery on October 21. Michael tested my battery, helped me choose a replacement, and installed it for me. I was in and out of the store in less than 20 minutes and paid less than I had anticipated. I couldn't have been happier with the service and courteous help I received from Michael and the staff. I would definitely recommend this place and would come here again.
