5 stars isn’t enough honestly. Paul and Gabe were absolute gems; friendly, knowledgeable, fast, and incredibly honest. I came in just expecting a routine oil change and left so impressed by how above-and-beyond everyone went. They noticed one of my tires was leaking, checked it out, and fixed/patched it for me even though that wasn’t why I came in. The pricing was more than fair, the service was quick, and the whole experience felt welcoming and stress-free. Big thank you to John and the entire crew for making car maintenance feel easy for once. Highly, highly recommend!

Honest shops are hard to come across these days. If you're looking for one John and his team will take care of you. He's worked on 3 of my cars this past month and got me in and out each time quickly and efficiently charging very reasonable rates for outstanding quality work. For one of the repairs, he even suggested to check with Honda first as they issued an extended warranty for one of the failed parts I was looking to have him replace. Most shops try to take every penny from you, John looks out for his customers like they're his family.

We’ve been looking for a new mechanic in Castro Valley and were pointed to Nakayama Motorsports. Glad we checked them out. I called ahead and talked with John, who was easy to talk to and walked me through what to expect for a 90,000-mile tune-up. No pressure, just straightforward. Dropped the car off early and Paul was already there. He was confident and clear about what they’d take care of. Throughout the day, the text updates made it easy to stay in the loop, and pickup was simple. What stood out is the overall vibe. They’re professional, but not pushy. If you’ve dealt with shops that stack on services and run up the bill, this is the opposite of that. You get the sense they’re focused on doing the work right and treating people fairly. Repairs are never fun, but if you want honest work, fair pricing, and a shop that respects your time and your wallet, this is a solid place to go.

I needed a transmission drain-and-fill using a special type of fluid for older vehicles. John and his crew understood exactly what I needed and did a great job with my car. The customer service, work quality, and price were excellent.

Best mechanic shop!!! After going to three different Lexus i came here, soon as i got there 2 techs came up and the owner to start diagnostics on my vehicle. Instantly told me the issue. Fixed in 2 days. Would trust them with heart surgery!

I took my car after dealer recommendations repairs. They gave me a quote and after inspecting the car they gave me a new quote 60 % lower since only needed one of the repairs recommended by the dealer. I took the car back for minor adjustment free of charge. Car is running good and I'm very happy with the friendly, honest and fast service. Highly recommend I will be seeking his business for all future car service.

Take you’re car here if you want the most genuine price and best service, anywheres gotta make a profit but john and his team will take care of you and even go beyond what they’re supposed to do while giving you the best price. These guys truly are car people. My Miata needed new axles but we had to wait a while to get the parts shipped, so they took care of her and wheeled her in and out of the garage every day for 3 weeks straight to keep her safe at night and out of the rain. Theyve been patient, attentive, and communicative, giving me great options and ideas on sourcing parts and installed everything quickly and at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this shop, they really do care about heir customer's cars and treat them like their own. I genuinely cant stop recommending this place!
