Some people here are awesome and patient and helpful, I'm not sure of employee names but the guy with four dreadlocks was pushy and rude. He hastily answered my questions and gave me poor user advice that goes against the manufacturers user manual when you look it up online. He kept interrupting the guy who was more patiently helping me and rushed me out the door. I will definitely go to O'Reilly's from now on where parts are cheaper and staff is more comfortable to work with. Update 2.24.26 yes the guy with dreadlocks is absolutely rude and confrontational. My elder friend patiently asked him to check my battery because instead of exchanging this information with me when giving me my battery he chose to ignore me and my presence and began a discussion with his coworkers instead.
Called yesterday and was super nervous because my key fob battery was getting low. I've never had to replace it before and I needed to go on a road trip to LA same day. I let them know and they said it could be easily done and they could help me replace the battery.
Mark helped when I got there after work, before my trip. The battery was very cheap but the service was amazing. He and his associate were very kind to helping me. Thanks for that and I did make it to my destination safely because of that!
This is the first time I have patronized this store, and I can't say enough about how positive the experience was. I had stopped in to buy some windshield fluid, and while I was there decided to replace a couple of dead lightbulbs in my car. Good thing! One of the bulbs was for a hard-to-reach daytime running light. Michael came out to my car to confirm that he had picked out the right bulb, then he replaced the bulb for me! While he was doing this, I noticed that another employee was installing a battery for a customer. Talk about above and beyond! This will definitely be my go-to place for car parts, even though there is a different store closer to my home.
Veronica did an outstanding job replacing my battery. She noticed a few things wrong that I had missed. It’s just been a few hours, but so far the car is running great. Thank you, Veronica.
I dropped a new battery that was purchased at this store to get charged. It was given back to me uncharged. I brought it back to get it charged again. I came back the next morning and it was gone. The employees just shrugged.
Very good location and Jonathan is such a good helping hand for helping find the right parts for my car but I think the store needs to the something about the anti theft detect alarm at the door since one day I bought a pocket knife and a hat I paid in the self check out and the moment I walked to the door the alarm rang scaring the hell out of me lol. Had my battery checked here after needing a jump start and the battery was dead. Veronica walked me through buying a new battery and installed it for me - super helpful and I got in and out quickly. No issues!
I stopped in for a new headlight bulb, and the woman at the counter was so helpful. She not only helped me get the right bulbs, but installed them even though it was raining.
I had an issue which turned out to be easily solved -- fob battery -- but wanted to to say how happy I was with the service, kindness, and patience of the two people I interacted with here, both on the phone and when I went into the store. I don't have their names, but thank you.
My truck battery was dying and I was able to make it to AutoZone on San Pablo Ave. I was the first customer of their day and Aaron was the gentleman who helped me out. He got the battery I needed and even came outside to help diagnose and look at removal for me. I had some pretty strong corrosion as the battery needed to be replaced long ago. He was really helpful, patient and got me out of there in less than 45 minutes and still on time to work! Thanks so much, Aaron!
The people who work here are very very kind and helpful. I tried other auto stores early morning and they were unable to change my battery for me. I called this auto zone location and received a friendly “yes!” right away. Veronica helped me purchase a new battery and even installed it for me. She is amazing!
Veronica was so kind and went above and beyond for me. I came solo because a friend had told me one of my brake lights was out. Veronica offered to come out and double check and let me know they were actually both out! She then found me the correct bulb replacements and replaced them for me. Really amazing and quick service, thank you!

AutoZone on San Pablo Avenue in Berkeley was my hero last week.
While driving over the Richmond Bridge, my driver-side windshield wiper suddenly broke and stopped working. It was honestly pretty terrifying, but I managed to pull over and temporarily rig it just enough to make my way off the bridge and onto side streets.
I made my way to AutoZone, where German helped me pick out a more reliable pair of windshield wipers for my Tacoma — and then went above and beyond by installing them for me right in the parking lot. Thanks to him, I was able to drive home safely back to Marin.
I am incredibly grateful for German’s kindness and support in such a stressful moment, and also for AutoZone’s excellent inventory of windshield wiper options for my truck. Truly outstanding customer service when I needed it most.

I will never go to this location. They routinely block Highway 13 during rush-hour when they make deliveries even though they have their own driveway. I literally plan to slump all the way to a different location to avoid them. Even asked the delivery driver why he doesn’t park right there and he laughed.
I was helped by Aaron and he really provided the best service and solved all my issues. Want to say thank you and I hope that man is in management because he knows how to treat people.

yesterday, I purchased a Duralast fuel filter for my model car. it's surface mounted to a bracket and attaches at a steel line and difficult to get to. the Duralast part was 5mm too long. I explained the situation to the manager and asked if we can rectify it and he said it would be a special order and I asked if there were no other stores that carried it in the Bay area and he said no. I said i'll deal with it and walked out. he ended up following me outside to continue the conversation and I said I don't want to to talk to you and he said now he feels threatened. I ended up have to bend the steel line and prestress the bracket and line and connections. come to find out, multiple stores carry it locally.

Good experience.. I think the employees name is Veronica I don’t know if I got her name right but she most definitely helped me with my car battery she was pretty quick with it so I appreciate her
Bryant was EXTREMELY helpful and provided excellent customer service! He was honest and saved me from spending money on a battery that didn’t actually need replacing, according to my dealer. I’m very grateful for Bryant and AutoZone today :’)!
I came in because my car battery was dead. Jonathan T was super helpful! As soon as I walked in he assisted me quickly and even helped swap out the battery in my car since I wasn’t confident in doing it myself. It was a very fast process and am so grateful for Jonathan’s help!
I helplessly walked in with no clue what was going on with my car and expecting the worst when Jonathan T. and Deili walked me through everything step with so much grace, patience and kindness. They could have just upsold me for a new battery - as clueless as I was, wouldn't have known any better but they checked for a warranty and installed an impossibly placed battery within 10 minutes. After a week of confusion and chaos they saved the day!!!
I am not good with anything mechanical. The manager was most kind to lend me the tools and actually assign a staff to help me get a battery removed from the car and taken in for a free charge. And they refuses to accept a tip from me to express my gratitude. Really nice and honest folks.
