I didn't even want to add one star for this wracket of a business. One for the books. So. My car was stolen from in front of my home. This was on a Monday 3/25/2024 about 2am.. I called the cops, nothing for about three days, then I received a call from the Jacksonville police, stating that my car had been found, by the lonoke police. Supposedly , it was involved in a high speed chase, & had ended up in a ditch. When I spoke to the lonoke police they said basically the same thing about the chase and ended up being in a ditch and would need a few days to process it. And once it had been processed it would be released back to me through Jhook towing. Now it's Friday, they called me and said it was ready to be picked up. All the way in lonoke, my car just got stolen, and they insisted exact cash, And that it would end up 'ONLY' costing me $350 or so to get it back. While talking to this extremely sarcastic, very rude, woman she msd mentioned they that they close at 4pm and are closed on the weekend. It Sounded like she had a smile on her face. Lady was over the top rude. whatever, moving on. I only had a short time left. I took off work early, hoping to save any additional storage fee. But Nope. The entire day consisted of the runaround. Avoiding Till after 4pm. So Monday, I went to retrieve my vehicle. They wanted 568.68!! What?! Exact change and only except cash. WTH!? & it gets better, they couldn't tow it to my house until later, no time, Just. The Guy who took my money Couldn't remember how to write the breakdown, so he couldn't give me a receipt. And ontop of that, didn't return my driver's license. I had to call not only the lonoke police ( who had no record of the incident report) as well as Jhook several times, who are so rude and condescending, but I kept calling, until my vehicle was finally returned at 830 that night. My DL was not the center console like Jhook rep. Said it would. And the receipt dates, prices, and info was strangely inaccurate. Apparently the vehicle had been picked up just by my house off military Rd. In Jacksonville AR. Why did it end up in lonoke? Stranger still was the random stuff left in my vehicle. Even had infant clothes!? Duck calls!?what?? To top it off, after I made a complaint to the Attorney general, they responded by saying I refused to pick up my car, and that I had been trying to leave my car with them because I wouldn't pay. Boy oh boy. That's just down right a fabrication. Untrue. I tried to call to speak to the owner, I figured maybe he was unaware of what was going on, unfortunately the responses were rude, and I was even laughed at. WOW. I definitely would not recommend Jhook towing, especially, the lonoke location, whew right!?$$ Especially not by choice.
Poor customers service fox 16 said that the towing people was here to help during this winter strom and they lied. Son car went down on him and was parked at the Circle K, car got towed, My son lost his wallet while helping others that was stuck. Revenue office been closed and he isn't able to get his id or a passport which is needed to get his car. Called to see what other documents can be used since the Revenue office been close and she stated that their is no other document can be accepted and they will continue charging fees! Just unreasonable taking advantage during a winter storm
Car caught fire early morning Friday and these where the people called to come get my vehicle (was on the side of highway) unaware that they’re closed on the weekends so I called Monday morning to see if I could just get my personal belt out of the vehicle as it was burned to METAL!! But the lady said I had to pay to even get my belongings out of the car ?? Crazy work and not only that the lady was very rude on the phone like if you don’t want to work Sugga call in if I could give this company ZERO stars they would’ve definitely gotten it!!!! Do not use Jhook Call Taylor towing instead!!!! I just want my kids belongings out but everything is all about money money money with these people bad business and got the nerve to send me some in mail talking about auctioning my car lol just horrible business all around go somewhere else where the peoples are welcomed and appreciated cause Jhook don’t give a damn about you just your money
I just want to thank you guys for what you do during this and all winter weather. Most will not even think about a tow truck until one is needed but the work you do and the hours in which you do them is amazing. I have not needed one but I have seen many who have and you guys were at a lot of them. Had a friend George Curtis who was family and did this work so I know how bad it can be but you always come. Thank you. Feel like you don’t get the thanks and appreciation you deserve but I really appreciate the effort you put forth to help people and just want to say thanks.
I have a project car that is not drivable. Needed to get it moved from my house to a local car shop to begin rebuilding efforts. Not only did Chris deliver prompt, professional and courteous service, he took special care to load this 60 year old car very carefully. Rather that just hooking it to a winch, he even helped me push it out of my garage AND get it pushed into the shop when we arrived. He didn't just load/unload the car, he was an active participant in getting my project started. Fantastic help much appreciated from JHook and Chris! Highly recommended for regular or specialty car hauling. Thank you!
I paid over $600 for a tow, and then they had the nerve to tell me I needed to drive my car off their property on a rim just to get a flat tire changed. That would have caused damage and could have been dangerous — and they didn’t care.
Once they had my money, they were no help at all. No compassion, no professionalism, and no concern for customer safety.
Save yourself the stress and go literally anywhere else.

We had a truck pulling a trailor with equipment on it . and the trailor flipped over and machines were all flipped on tbeir sides. And Jhooktowing and his crew went above and Beyond to help . It took hours and they did such a great job i would recommended this company to each and everyone out there that needs help. The next day we went back so they can load a piece of our machine on our trailer . Brandon and Ben were so nice and polite they did an amazing job . I recently had a concerning experience with one of this company’s drivers. In my opinion, the driver did not seem to be paying attention and came very close to hitting my truck, causing me to brake suddenly to avoid a collision.
I called the company afterward to share my safety concern. During that call, I spoke with someone who identified himself as Tim. My personal impression was that he was dismissive of my concern, and I felt like his tone was rude. I also came away from the conversation feeling like he was implying legal action if I shared my experience publicly, which made me uncomfortable.
Based on my experience, I would be cautious when dealing with this company.
The most unprofessional, predatory towing company I have ever worked with. I would rather push my vehicle 100 miles than have this sorry excuse of a business tow it. 3 miles = $1400, these guys are probably mathematicians in order to come up with these numbers. Do not do business with these people you are better off throwing your vehicle off a cliff. When they say(We'd like to learn more about your experience and what happened to cause you to feel this way. They will actually do the oposite and say they "do not trust you" and will not take card over the phone because everyone disputes the transactions, yea I wonder why. Anyway if this is your only option to tow take your vehicle, either burn it, abandon it, or throw it off a cliff like previously stated. DO NOT do business with them. Also to the owners good luck dealing with the BBB.
Motorcycle broke down 1,000 miles from home. JHook quoted $450 for a tow of 50 miles. Being stranded, I took it only to find a price of $495 on the bill plus another $90 in undisclosed fees plus tax. I would give this predatory experience one star, but the driver did a great job and was more understanding than the business managers.
Heavy Duty Towing at its Best! Hands down the Very Best ! What can I say? 1st The Tow Price was the Best Rated in town . I have never seen prices like theirs in our area. These people are not here to rip us off like most towing companies. They were beyond fair even offering free miles, now who does that around tow?? I called several places the rates were ridiculous.
David the driver and his Boss were absolutely Outstanding to work with. David went over and beyond to make a bad situation better for me. This type of service is unheard of and believe me as someone who has been in the transportation business for a while. I would give them 20 Stars because Service, Price , Work Ethics & Skills are The Best, Amazing & Impeccable …David showed his skills placing a broke down truck exactly where I wanted it. Other companies told me over the phone we won’t be able to do that, all I heard was excuses and a big price. But this was no problem for David, he did with ease maneuvering our narrow drive and placing in the exact place I told him. Just Amazing!!.

Really bad customer service attention. As a customer, you expect to be helped and not yelled at. You are already dealing with the downs of a breakdown in the middle of the road, and you getting that service and attitude is not acceptable.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Hired this towing company to move a generator for a customer and they slammed on the brakes and their pintle hitch broke and the generator got damaged. Now they are wanting to claim that the damage was not their fault when they were the company hooked up to the generator when the damage occurred. Can't make it up, another company trying to get out of a mistake that they made and not taking responsibility. Hard to find good companies now a days. Steer clear of this company if you want the job done right and honest.
You can call the Arkansas towing and recovery board and file a complaint on these individuals. Maybe that will stop them. Apparently the owner is all for the behavior of his company. Because he replied to all these negative reviews and nothing ever changes. Do your self a favor and call Jackson's midstate. You won't be disappointed.
I needed my truck towed and Peter bilt of Little Rock recommended this company for towing my semi to their location I decided to give them a tried and I got a quote from this towing company and they told me 2 hours before they arrive. Two hours passed and I was still waiting for this people to show up; when I called back to follow up on them they were very rude and asked me to look for some one else if I want it, which I did, and with a happy ending found someone cheaper and with a more sense and complete different customer service Im glad for the recommendation for which would be the only thing I would say thank you. Everything else in my experience with this company I will invite you to read the reviews before you attempt to contact this company. For some reason I have the felling that the only ones giving 5 stars to this company are themselves :-(
Alternator went out in my SUV in the worst possible place and had to just leave it parked right on the McCain exit ramp. My son called JHook and Jose braved the crazy traffic to get the truck on the rollback safely! He had it to me and off his truck in less than an hour. Absolutely Awesome! caring, kind and professional in the 'feels like' 107' heat! Will call them again if needed and definitely recommend them.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I think the guys name was Clint or Clay. He was so GREAT. He came in his car. To be able to respond quicker. Said ETA would be an hour. He was there less than 20mins. Had me back in the car less than one min. He was so nice, Wonderful Customer service. Quick & efficient. I was on a trip from Virginia to Texas. We stopped at the Buc-ees. Went to get in the car, the key wouldn't unlock the door. The windows were cracked for my puppy. It was just starting to get dark. I remembered I had road side on my insurance. (Here's a tip to save time. If it ask u is there child or animal in the car. If there's not any immediate danger or risk. Say no. Cuz saying yes send u to 911. I'm still waiting for 911 to call me back) 911 said that mostly likely cuz it had cold off. A Officer wouldn't respond. I went back and answered no.
I didn't even want to leave one star. Bur didn't give me a choice. This is the worst experience ever. We break down at night couldn't get anything until good morning then our insurance, hires this company to get our vehicle towed to our home, i got a text message stating there on site, every time I called, he told me, hold on, I'll call you back.Can't understand the him.Then he calls me when my vehicle is getting delivered two hours later.Telling me he already delivered my car and then ask me where I want it.But then he said, he already unloaded it, but when I was on my ring on my camera, it was still on the flatbed, which there nothing but a liars, he hung up on me and when I tried calling him back, he wouldn't answer forces horrible customer service ever.I wouldn't recommend these people to no one. I'm reporting them to the better business bureau. You can't understand them and poor communication. And then they hang up on you. They need to learn how to have customer service skills. Horrible horrible.
We recently had a very bad experience with a towing company that refused to let us pay and move the truck to their yard ourselves. Even though we were willing and ready to pay, they went ahead and towed the truck without our consent. The original towing fee was $383, but now they are charging $776.
They claim to accept EFS and Comcheck, but many companies don’t use or support those systems. On top of that, they also charge a 4.5% fee on credit card payments.
The man we dealt with, who goes by Anthony and claims to be the boss, refused to speak with us directly and avoided all communication. The way they are operating seems questionable and possibly illegal.
So please be really careful while working with them.
UPDATE.. I had to redo. Where my daughter had a great experience, my other daughter had an accident and it was still drivable but the tow truck was taking it anyway. Then they didn't let the boyfriend get their food which was just picked up and fresh. Out of the car and when I called to go get our dinner out of the car I was told it would cost 100 and that doesn't include what I would have to pay to get it the next day. When I got there the lady was pleasant and one of the guys was as well but someone took our food out of the car. Who steals food out of someone's wrecked car??? So 220 to get the car and 30 of food missing. Yall do better.
Towed our truck without letting us know they are doing so and waited long enough to rack up a huge bill before they sent us certified mail notifying us that we need to pay a huge bill before they release the truck. I called and spoke to a lady named Tammie who I explained to that our driver had medical issues and that's why the truck was sitting at the same spot for weeks but she did not want to hear it or help us with the bill.
After I gave up talking to this person with no soul I got hit with a bill that was double what the certified mail was showing. Long story short Tammie did not care at all about me disputing it and she even could not find any documents in her office showing that the certified mail was sent when she said it was sent (which pretty much confirms to me that they waited on purpose to rack up a bill). In the end I had to pay $3800 just to have my equipment released. Tammie should not work in customer service position for this company (or any company) and at the same time nobody should use these scammers. After seeing their google rating my story is not the only one of them taking advantage of people.
We called today, because the owner of our bonding company is broken down outside of Little Rock. After hearing how far we needed to be towed, we were told we could not afford their services. I would name the employee, but we were not greeted properly. He came personally recommended by a passerby who stopped to check on us. I would not recommend doing business with someone like this. Bless his heart. He missed out on the $2900 cash requested due to his bad attitude.
I have dealt with a lot of tow companies in over 20 years in the car business. This is the worst one. The managers disposition is as bad as it gets. We were told a car wasn’t wrecked J hook took our money and when I asked for a refund because I was told it wasnt wrecked,I was told it was my problem.
we had a great experience with JHOOK towing. no one likes to have their RV break down and if ours ever does again in their area we will call them. He was very knowledgeable. explained things. made sure to not get our coach greasy.
