What clients say about Axle Towing & Impound in Apache Junction (AZ)

Nick is the fastest and most careful tow truck driver I ever met. We had to have over 100 cars moved around in an underground parking garage so we could power wash and prep for line striping. Nick came through flawlessly. Not one unhappy tenant and not one damaged vehicle. Amazing work and I highly recommend using Axle Towing for any commercial vehicle towing.

This company is trying to tow my vehicle that’s in my covered parking spot. They need to mind their own business

These people will try to tow you from your covered parking spot that you pay for in your own apartment complex.

Tell me you hate your job, without telling me you hate your job. They start a conversation with an attitude. It's unnecessary, especially when I was respectful to you when I called. It's not hard to treat others how you want to be treated. Just saying

Snatched my car off the street and held it for ransom like some criminals. These companies are the definition of shady and serve no real utility to this community, they can say theyre just doing their jobs but when their job has a significant negative impact on everyone they come in contact with maybe they should reconsider their morals.

This company has an F rating with the BBB and a pile of unresolved complaints, which pretty much speaks for itself. They’re constantly driving through my HOA neighborhood—especially late at night—and the number of bad experiences residents have shared is way too high to ignore. I haven’t been towed by them myself, but I’ve heard enough from people here to know I don’t trust the way they operate. Some neighbors have even questioned their relationship with our security company as being suspicious. I’m not claiming anything illegal—just pointing out that it’s a been mentioned as a concern in the community. In my opinion, this is not a company I’d ever choose or recommend. If you think you were treated unfairly, talk to local authorities or an attorney. At minimum, look into them before letting them anywhere near your community or your car. Their presence has caused mentions of distrust and concern throughout the community. This can potentially negatively affect the values of the homes here as people will shy away from purchasing in a community that contracts business with this type of tow company. Just recently...one of their employees even created a fake profile on our community FB page just to attempt to quash the truth about them that's being exposed. That alone speaks for itself. ---

Pray that Axle towing never tows and impounds your vehicle. Especially the Apache Junction location. They will gouge you on everything. Because they can. They have your car held hostage so they charge whatever they want. They charged me $50 a day storage. That is ridiculous. And almost $300 for tow. If that's how they treat people I would be very cautious of hiring them for any towing or storage service. Hopefully Karma will catch up to them one day.

I want to start by saying that I fully understand why my vehicle was towed. I made the mistake of parking in what I believed was a visitor spot while attending the Christmas lights at Agritopia on Saturday evening. It turned out to be an incorrect assumption, and I accept responsibility for that. The tow itself was handled properly, and for that reason alone, I’m giving two stars. However, the overall experience, ESPECIALLY the customer service, was extremely frustrating. When we returned to our car about an hour later, it was already gone. According to Axle Towing’s system, the vehicle had been towed less than 20 minutes before I called the after-hours number around 6:50 PM. I was told it was “unlikely” anyone could come out to release the vehicle but that they’d see what they could do. I called again around 8:30 PM and then again Sunday morning, and each time I was told it was unlikely anyone would come out and that I’d most likely have to wait until Monday at 9:00 AM. This made the “after-hours” number feel misleading, like it exists to give the impression of help, when in reality you’re just told no and forced to leave your vehicle there all weekend. To be fair, the after-hours staff were at least kind on the phone, and that does count for something. Monday morning is where the experience really went downhill. I went into the office being polite and understanding, knowing towing is not a pleasant situation for anyone involved. Unfortunately, the man at the front desk was immediately rude, dismissive, and acted as if I were being difficult when I wasn’t. When I tried to make light conversation or explain anything, I was ignored. I had recently changed my last name due to marriage and hadn’t yet updated my vehicle registration. That part was completely my oversight, and I understood when he said he couldn’t accept it. Since we live over an hour away, we were trying to avoid having to drive all the way home and back. I remembered I had a scanned copy of my marriage certificate on my phone. When I asked if that would work, he curtly said, “Email it to this email,” with zero friendliness. He never acknowledged receiving it, though he did print paperwork shortly after. When it came time to sign the release form, I was uncomfortable signing something that released Axle Towing from responsibility for any potential damage caused during towing. I asked if I could cross that portion out. His response was, “I honestly don’t care,” clearly just wanting to rush me. While I was writing, he sat there waving the receipt in circles and shaking his head in a very passive-aggressive way to hurry me up. It was incredibly disrespectful, especially toward a calm, compliant, paying customer. After everything was finished, my husband said “Thank you,” and the employee completely ignored him. I understand this job likely involves dealing with angry and unreasonable people, and I made every effort to not be one of them. I accepted my mistake, didn’t argue about the tow, and remained respectful the entire time. That courtesy was not returned. If you have a choice, I wouldn’t say Axle Towing is bad at towing, but the customer service is absolutely horrific. Unfortunately, that matters just as much.

TO ALL. PLEASE BEWARE!!!! THIS IS A PREDATORY TOW COMPANY My vehicle was towed from private property therefore falls under different laws. Axel towing followed none of the laws. They hung the phone up on me when I asked about private property laws. Very rude, unprofessional and I am missing valuables out my car. I really really love karma though.

Axel towing & Impound provided an honest and transparent service for me. As frustrating and concerning as it is to find your vehicle no longer where you parked it, the service they offer is quite necessary. If no parking rules were ever followed there would be mayhem and chaos for residents, first responders and the public. The HOA that had me towed is the one I would fault and have them better paint and add signage to fire lanes. This company followed all applicable guidelines and laws as far as informing the authorities that a vehicle had been towed and impounded. I have a low jack on my vehicle so I knew where it was before I called to verify with the authorities just to be sure. I'm not sure what laws on littering would look like but it would be very nice if on a clean tow, an info card could be lightly adhered to the asphalt so that it is a bit less frightening off of the immediate response of a vehicle being missing. As unhappy as I am about the whole situation, I cannot fault this company for enforcing the rules, even if I was not fully aware of them. Gentleman I spoke to on the phone at 9:00 p.m. was a little off putting but then again I would not want to be on call myself taking calls late at night about "where the hell is my vehicle". When I retrieved my vehicle the lady at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful and answered many of the questions, quickly, honestly, and allowed me to check out my vehicle for any damage. I had no damage and no issues. Will not be parking in a fire lane again, I will yell at the HOA for really poor firelane markings.

I just drove by this tow truck and remembered my old apartment complex changed from the r&m company to this company because it was cheaper. They’re not 24/7 like they advertise because they won’t come to phx from Apache junction. One time they told me all their tow trucks had flat tires. Flat tires for 3 days in a row. Insane lol. At least they take the cars that don’t have tags so people can park at the already over populated apartments so ima give them 3 stars because at least they’re trying and it’s hard to be a tow company. Added photos of their location in Apache junction!

They will take your car from your apartment complex without giving you any warning and then the police also have an open case up against them so be careful if your car car gets taken her they towed my car twice in one month my car was also gone through because it doesn’t lock

I wanted to provide an honest review of Axel from someone who's car was towed and impounded by my HOA. The cost was $395 cash ($411 if paid by credit card). They towed my car at 2am on Saturday morning and were closed by the time I even realized it was gone. They were also closed on Sunday and when I picked up on Monday they charged me for 3 days of being held in impound. They only let one person go in at a time so the line was very long when I arrived at 9am on Monday morning. It ended up taking over 45 minutes of waiting outside before I was even allowed inside. The process once inside was fairly quick since I had my title with me otherwise they would allow you to retrieve your registration from your car. Customer service was mediocre at best but I'm sure they are typically dealing with very angry people. I would recommend not signing the paper/receipt until they let you go look at your car as the fine print states that you agree to not hold Axel Towing responsible for any damages that happened to your vehicle. I was lucky to not have any damage to my vehicle. I wish I had asked for an itemized receipt since the charges are very unclear. Good luck getting your car back, it is a journey.

They towed my friends vehicle from in front of my house in the middle of the night. The vehicle had a flat on the front and they towed it from the back. There is no parking on my street and I told my friend it would get towed if they didn't stay in the vehicle. But I believe the tow service was neglectful in the way they towed it. It cost 400 dollars to get the vehicle out and the people there are very rude and unpleasant. If you know of a place that will fix a flat after 9pm please inform me of this place. And you are still very rude and overpriced. And your driver did not take pictures of the vehicle before towing it. I knew that because of the security cameras. So I don't know why you would lie to me when I ask you if your driver took photos.

I live in this apartment community and just received a bright orange “warning” notice threatening to tow my car simply because I backed into a parking space. That’s right — reverse parking in my own designated area somehow counts as a violation. This feels like nothing more than a cheap extortion tactic. Instead of focusing on actual issues like unauthorized vehicles, abandoned cars, or people without tags, they are targeting paying residents over something as harmless as how we park. It’s completely ridiculous to threaten residents with towing fees for something so petty. This company is clearly more interested in squeezing money out of tenants than providing fair or reasonable parking enforcement. If you value respectful treatment and common sense in your community, beware — this company does not provide it.

They stole money from the car. They opened it because my car had the break on. Ok you guys have to open it fine. But I was missing $110 dollars from the middle glove compartment. That is not ok. You have no right to go through people stuff and take them. you can shield yourself saying it wasn't you "where is your proof" but you know very well it was. They didn't even close the compartment It was open when I open my car door

For unclear parking rules I walked out to a car being towed. My wife and I were threatened to give 100 dollars to get the car back and when we procured the money they said if we asked questions they would keep the cash and car. Wildly unsafe, reporting to law enforcement

This company stole my vehicle off of my apartment property. My front office confirmed there was NO REASON as to why they towed my car. There was NO STICKER on my vehicle. When I went to my leasing office, they said they would contact axle towing because there was no sticker on my vehicle for them to impound my vehicle. Axle towing submitted photos of my vehicle to the leasing office and office CONFIRMED there was no sticker on my car in any photos. Therefore my car was STOLEN. I was not given an apology, just a very nasty attitude from the lady behind the counter at axle towing. Very unprofessional, and a police report has been made.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As a property manager, I have the pleasure of working with many vendors, but I can confidently say that Donna at Axel Tow & Impound is one of the most professional, attentive, and compassionate individuals I’ve encountered in this industry. Donna goes above and beyond every single time I call or work with her. She is extremely patient and understanding, not only with me as a manager juggling many responsibilities, but also with our residents—many of whom may be frustrated or confused when dealing with towing matters. Donna always maintains a calm, respectful, and solution-oriented demeanor, no matter the situation. That kind of grace under pressure is rare and deserves to be recognized. Whether it's following up promptly, explaining procedures clearly, or simply showing kindness and empathy, Donna consistently delivers five-star service. It’s evident that she genuinely cares about the people she interacts with, and that kind of commitment makes a huge difference in our day-to-day operations. Honestly, if anyone at Axel Tow & Impound deserves a raise and recognition—it’s Donna. She represents your company with integrity and excellence. I’m incredibly grateful for her support and professionalism, and I hope she knows how valued she is! Thank you, Donna—you make our jobs easier and our community better.

Just moved into a new apartment in Arizona last week. Had my vehicle parked outside my garage to bring furniture into my new home and to remove the empty cardboard to bring to a recycling center which my complex said was okay for short periods of time since im just moving in. Within 20 minutes of being parked outside my own garage I was towed due to being in a fire lane. All my belongings were still inside my vehicle as well as my girlfriends purse since we didn’t plan on being there long. My complex was able to get my fee for retrieval cut in half which I agreed to pay and just move on. When I got there though I noticed my truck had damage to the rear bumper which I knew wasn’t there prior. I refused to pay for the tow and told them I needed to be given compensation for the damages. They then pulled up a photo after the damage had already been done and said look the damage was already there. I asked for the rest of the photos because I knew the photo was taken after the fact and the woman at the desk instantly stopped making eye contact but was grinning ear to ear shaking her head no which is pretty easy to read that you realized what had happened. She then tried to strong arm me into paying saying that if I dont pay today my rate will practically double by tomorrow and then they will bring me to small claims if i continue to not pay. I refused payment and contacted my apartment complex for the photos because they legally have to provide proof of tow and guess what… no damage before it was hitched but damaged after it was.

The woman I spoke to on the phone was really nice and helpful, although I didn’t catch her name. They towed someone who parked in my assigned spot that I pay for. They arrived pretty quickly too! Very frustrating coming home after work and I can’t even park in my spot because someone feels entitled to whatever spot they want. Ignore the salty reviews, they’re just mad they can’t read signs and that the world doesn’t revolve around them.

Absolutely fantastic experience with Axle Towing! They showed up way quicker than I expected and were super friendly throughout the whole process. The driver really knew what he was doing and took great care of my car. Plus, their prices are totally fair! If you ever find yourself in a bind, I highly recommend giving them a call. 5 stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If there’s any low rated reviews on here, I would ignore that. People are just mad because they got their car towed. The lady up front, Chrissy, was very nice!! She was genuinely so kind and helpful. The guys were too. They’re human and they have a job to do and they’re more than willing to educate you on what it is you need to do to get your vehicle back. They try to be on your side but you have to pay for the consequences and it’s really not their fault but they’re definitely nice and pleasant to deal with. As long as your respectful, they are too. I recommend them for any kind of towing needs though!

Picking up my impounded car was actually pretty quick—only took about 10-20 minutes. But the lady helping us? She had a serious attitude, like we were annoying her just by being there. The big lady at the desk acted like she was doing us a massive favor just by existing. Every question got a sigh, an eye roll, and a snappy comeback, like she was personally offended we needed help. Customer service? More like "Customer, I'm Annoyed You’re Here" service. Snappy replies, zero patience, the whole works. So, I finally get to my car, and it’s covered in dust. I mean, it hadn’t even been there for 24 hours, but it looked like it had been chilling in the desert. Then I pop the hood and find the battery clips loose. This battery's barely a few months old! No idea what happened there. All this because I’d parked "funny" for not even 20 minutes. And the crazy part? I didn’t hear a single thing when they towed it—and the car was like 10 feet from the house! Overall, it’s a decent company. I see why some people are trashing it, though. My experience was okay, but they could definitely improve on the customer service front. Had to pay around $300, give or take, which isn’t exactly cheap. I'll leave a 2-star review P.S. Noticed my car battery died and needed a jumpstart right after the tow. It was recently serviced, so I’m wondering if something during the towing process might have affected it.

My car was wrongfully towed, they broke my intake actually dragged it across the pavement and put I dent in it. I call the tow place, they were very rude and couldn’t give me any information whatsoever as I’m telling her my intake was broken she asks me if I have proof and I tell her” I’m literally holding it in my hand” she tells me it’s not her problem and hangs up in my face. It was very unprofessional rude and not careful with people’s belongings. Incredibly disrespectful and unreasonable to tell me it’s not her problem why she’s towing on the weekend when they are open Monday thru Friday and she tells me “24h towing” and can’t tell me what’s going to happen and how much it would be for after hour release ?. Regardless of it being aftermarket you guys till broke it. That’s cost money, the part is broken it will no longer work due to the damage you caused. There was nothing wrong with the part before it got towed period. Your customer service is also trash you guys are really pathetic for telling customers it’s not their problem and hanging up in one’s face. It’s not cute and it seems to happen to many other customers yall are very annoying.

There are no signs that said there is no parking after hrs, my car was towed Xmas eve night or CHRISTMAS MORNING! And I was unable to get my car because they are closed Christmas Day, how does that make sense. I was left carless with my newborn and 9yr old, with Xmas gifts inside my car for my family. My mother has lived at Seyenna Vista for over 5yrs with no issue until now!

HORRIBLE! They are Predatory! The Worst Coustomer Service! They literally laugh in your face when you are asking for a little kindness! They come looking for cars. They were not called out or asked to tow someone! They came hunting! $360.00! Ridiculous! They Do Not Have Proper Signage! No Hours are on the 1 sign down the street! See the pictures! What They are doing is Against the Law! We should all ban together a CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT! They said in the office they are Not Open on Saturdays yet they were open! There were 2 people working in the office! Also, when you call the number, it says they are OPEN ON SATURDAY FROM 8:00AM TO 12:00PM! The sign outside of the Office Clearly states they are Open on Saturdays! See the picture Emily P has posted on her review. They are Liars & Theives! In addition, they do Not give you an itemized statement! There is nothing to show you what they are charging is legitimate fees or charges! The Credit Card up charge should be illegal! I will be contacting an Attorney!

My car was towed from a state park 5.4 miles away and was picked up within an hour and 20 minutes of being towed. They charged $362 + $30 credit card fee… how that’s legal to charge 10%? This is just taking advantage of customers. No credit card company charges that amount and they should not be charging more than their fee for processing. Their DPS fee for credit card processing is 5% yet it changes for private tow. Wouldn’t the fee be the same as the credit card company doesn’t know the difference? I did not get an invoice with the breakdown of my fees and they were not very friendly when I called panicked about getting my car back. They charge a $50 behind the gate fee for Saturday because they’re “closed” and by appointment only from 8-12. But they were in the office and those show as their hours on google. I’d be EXTREMELY cautious if you’re voluntarily using this company {I wasn’t} as you’re in for really high pricing.

My insurance company found this service provider for me to tow my vehicle to the dealership for repairs. Nate was extremely professional and kind. He arrived quickly and within the provided time frame. My car was loaded and off in no time. They allowed a passenger as well so my husband was able to ride along. He said the ride was excellent, no issues or concerns. I would definitely use them again for my emergency roadside needs. 100% recommend them for special vehicle towing. I have no experience with the impound side of their business.

Was given Axel Towing as the vendor who was to pick up my vehicle from Peddle. I had a scheduled appointment today between 11-3pm. A little after 11 I received a call from the driver Mike, very pleasant and professional on phone. He stated he was heading my way it should be about 45 minutes. A little later Mike called again to state he was outside. I met him by the truck, he asked for keys, and he went about to do his thing and loaded up my vehicle, handed me my paperwork, and we were all done. Short, sweet, professional, and on point customer service skills I would most definitely use Axle Towing & Impound for any and all of my towing needs.
