Simply not an option for auto repair. I'll try to give a short version of my most recent negative experience. I had my car towed in because it wouldn't start after I had replaced the batteries and checked and cleaned the battery cables and terminals. They didnt listen to anything I told them and called me after the car had sat for and afternoon and morning, to tell me the brand new battery from Costco was bad and they They could replace it for $500. I explained the situation and they looked at the car again and told me it was a battery cable they clamped and that my car was fine. When I came to pick it up, the tech was initially unable to get it started. They eventually got it started and I left with the check engine light on and the issued unresolved. I took the battery to get tested at O'Reilly and it was completely fine. They misrepresented the condition of my battery and would have charged me an absurd amount of money based on that misrepresentation. I highly recommend you avoid doing any business at Juneau Automall.

I’ve purchased several cars before and normally from the same guy because in Oregon I had the same car guy for 15 years I trusted him and he always came through. Not at here, you have to call over and over again for answers and after 3 months from purchasing a car everything goes wrong and they blame you.

I have bought two trucks from Juneau auto mall. It was a great buying experience. I traded the first one back in because I wasn’t happy with it. The second truck I bought was a brand new 2024 Chevy 1500. After owning the truck for 14 months the valve body went out in the transmission. The part is on national back order with no ETA. I asked if I could trade in my truck since I bought it through them. They told me yes and they would get me a number for my truck. I waited for two days and I heard nothing back. I tried calling, and texting for another 3 days and still heard nothing back. This made me extremely frustrated because it’s my only vehicle. I just recently move farther north where it gets a lot colder so I kind of need a fix asap. With all that being said I was forced to go to a different dealership because they wouldn’t even work with me. I had a way better experience with the dealership in Fairbanks. I will no longer be doing business with Juneau Auto Mall and will not be recommending them to anyone.

I headed in to JAM in a minor panic after finding out that AML was no longer shipping plug-in hybrids. As the owner of a plug-in hybrid Volvo -- a make that no garage in Juneau will service, at least not happily -- that had a "hybrid system failure" warning appear, I was concerned that I was going to be stuck with a car that was unreliable with no way to get it fixed. I was open with them about the dilemma, and they were amazing. Jeremiah Lund spent three hours with us finding the right replacement and Dusty the GM made me a very fair offer and worked to meet in the middle on a trade knowing that he would have to get the Volvo onto a ferry to auction this week -- so a true win win and I love my new Crosstrek and was in and out of the dealership in three hours which was a first. One of the things I love most about Juneau is that we understand that we are all connected and interdependent -- and this felt like a great example of a local business working with a community member to solve a problem unique to Juneau -- and finding a solution that made sure that everyone would get what they needed. Much appreciated and would go back in a heartbeat.

So I’m not a review person and I’m normally a person feels things can be resolved by conversations but how this worked out was just not right and the longer I’ve sat on this the more I’ve wanted to say some things. I had a wonderful experience with the staff whenever I spoke with them. My overall experience was awful. I bought my car in at the end of January for a clunking noise whenever I turn on the left. I mentioned it may be the 4x4 they said they know what the issue is after a mechanic did his diagnosis and advise me not to drive the vehicle at all, and they should fix the part that they said was in need of repair(driveshaft). They gave me an estimate of anywhere from two weeks to four Weeks, i say “you give me the driveshaft afterwards so i can inspect it myself and we have a deal”. Three weeks goes by nothing then I get a call around four weeks and they tell me that the part is missing. and they’re working on finding out where it’s at and they called to ask me to call Chrysler parts management myself to find out where the part is. I speak to them numerous times and they don’t know where the part is. The dealership said that they were not going to order another one until they find out where it’s at. Fast-forward to June, they never found the part the dealership finally re-ordered it after four months. Then after installing said part they decide that i needed a lower control arm that was another $300 to make everything work correctly. OK.. I’m not that upset although i couldn’t work as much due to being out a car 4.5 months but I get it I’m still understanding but then I go pick up my vehicle and I’m told that everything is good to go. I waited around five months paid around $3300 and on my drive home the clunking noise is still there so I immediately take it back to go get looked at again the next day upon inspection, they said “oh this right here needs to be fixed” and it’ll be another $3000. My good sir; my rack and pinion boot was ripped when i look under my vehicle, the clunking is still happening when I turn left. My only real problem is, you had it for 5 months and you didn’t look close enough to find the issue, the driveshaft you told me that was in need of immediate replacement didn’t change anything and you made me call them to find the part when that’s what I’ve paid you to do. You didn’t mention the boot being ripped or that you ripped it and For a combined total of $6300 that you would have me pay for everything to be fixed i would’ve put a downpayment on a new car from you instead. I won’t ever go back to a dealership. Thanks for the lesson.

My car was serviced here n May 2025. The service staff made an appointment for me that fit my needs. The service was done quickly, and I was called to let me know it was ready to pick up. When I picked my car up the technician explained to me what was done, the checkups that were performed , and noted no issues. I like the communication from the dealership and the quality of the service. Well done!

Kyle and Svea were great to deal with. Kyle was responsive and efficient throughout our interactions. I was impressed with how available he was and how quickly we were able to reach agreement on the transaction. Svea provided useful warranty information that helped me in my decision to purchase a warranty (which I don’t normally do). Good times!

Wonderful experience, great customer service, very happy with my purchase. Leo was great at communicating. I told him what I was interested in. Then I flew in from out of town the next day. Test drove 3 cars and purchases one that day. Flew home the following day and they shipped the car to me. I appreciate and value the understanding they have of meeting the needs of those of us coming from smaller southeast communities. I also purchased the extended warranty as I would prefer to deal with them in the future. Great experience and fabulous customer service!

I had my 10,000 mile warranty covered toyota care done here at a 9am appointment where they also agreed to install my back wiper blade I previously purchased. By 4pm, the car had yet to be serviced. So, I called and they said it was the next to go in. Within 10 minutes I got notified through my toyota app that my hood was open, therefore notifying me my car was finally being serviced. Upon arrival, the service department said my vehicle was not available.Unbeknownst to them, I had already located my car parked out back with a service tag.Within minutes, my car was “complete” and paperwork was being printed. They did not install the wiper blade as promised and the car was seeming overlooked even with a 9am appointment.

We were helped by sales rep, Matt. Our experience with him was outstanding. Very knowledgeable, helpful and just a great representative of Juneau Auto Mall. We have been back to the dealership a couple times with questions on different things. We have not purchased any vehicle recently, We have had a few questions regarding newer electronics and options. Matt has always been very patient and helpful. Our only concern has been receiving a check for the amount owed us for our trade in. It seems to be a problem with the sale manager and their availability. We feel that this is not a reflection on Matt and his service. Again, we would highly recommend Matt. Chuck and Joyce Sutton

I had a very positive experience here. Jamaal Bailey was my salesman, and he made the process easy. He worked very hard to get me just the right car, and I'm super happy with my purchase. From the time I started shopping for a car to the time I drove off with a New Toyota RAV 4 Hybrid my experience was pretty great! Cameron Mitchell was my Sales Rep and he was never pushy, he answered my questions and let me come to my own decision on what I wanted. Cameron also took the time after closing on the car to make sure I knew where everything was and how it worked and helped me connect to the Toyota app. Svea Hansen was good to work with from Finance. She has the tough job of prying the funds out of your hand. She was patient with the many questions I had and the time it took me to make decisions on this big purchase. All in all I left happy and informed in my purchase thanks to great staff at the Auto Mall.

I always have good things to say about the service at Juneau Auto Mall, but this time after getting oil change & tire rotation, my left side wheels had about 8 lug nuts that were left loose. My truck started making really weird sounds so I had to pull over and try to figure out what it was. This was a Saturday, so the service section at Juneau Auto mall was closed. I checked the lug nuts and sure enough on the front tire there were about 4 loose & so I checked all of my tires and found 4 more loose on the back left tire. Was not happy I drive with children in the car & had no way to contact the service section to get help. I'm glad I stopped to check. Not sure if I was strong enough to tighten the lug nuts properly but so far the noises have stopped.

Kyle was an awesome person to work with. He allowed us to drive several vehicles some with him as passenger and some on our own we weren’t settled on used or new and required a lot of help in figuring out what we wanted to do. He helped us by text message And steered us in the right direction knowing what our base requirements were but also helping us with the price range we were looking for we didn’t want to go too pricey but but I wanted all the bells and whistles as well so he helped us navigate through the pool. We considered options of creating a new vehicle from scratch shipping some in from other dealerships and he helped us through the pros and cons of doing all those things. He also was very receptive to our trade-in even though she had some wear and tear. In the end when we got down to negotiating numbers, the three of us were sitting kind of looking at each other waiting to make that first move, and I’m not the one that controls numbers in our house, but I threw one out there and drew the line and said we’re making this sale tonight and I threw a number on the plate. He went into finance and came back with my number and we made a contract that night. Knowing our kids were at home, he sent us home with the vehicle and a contract in mind for signatures. The following day we came back, signed off and we’re out the door. They even cleaned the bird poop off before we left that night with the car. The finance department was wonderful and offering additional options and were very supportive in knowing that we declined. She was amazing at offering the reasons, but also tender enough to understand our reasons for declining the coverage. Kyle was extraordinarily professional was at my Service every time I reached out to him by text by phone call or by just simply showing up always had a smile and always receptive to our needs. I’m very pleased at this point with our purchase. The last night when we signed our contract, we had to bring our kids into the waiting room. They sat pretty quietly playing on devices, but the dealership was happy to offer snacks and drinks, and just handle the fact that our kids were in there and to tolerate their plain old existence. I appreciate that greatly. Also are flying in close to an hour before closing multiple times just to drive one vehicle flexibility was key to helping us test out vehicles Our new cars name is Raven and hopefully I won’t need to contact the service department, but I’m sure we will be well pleased with that as well . Having a dealership in town with the service department that can handle warranty as well as any recalls was the main reason we chose to purchase a Honda we looked at Honda’s Subaru as well as Toyota’s and at this point I’m very pleased with my Honda CRV I keep finding exciting new gizmos and gadgets inside That are wonderful! I bought my Toyota Highlander exactly on year ago. The sales guy Eric Ficklin was great, and he followed up to ensure my satisfaction. The service staff has been superb over the last year. No issues. It might be nice if they had a shuttle service to run senior citizens to and from home for service appointments like the dealers in Anchorage, but that’s a minor issue. Maybe they have that but I didn’t ask. Actually this place is so nice I’m sure someone would have driven me home and back if I had asked!

My apologies for the late review. My husband and I have been discussing a new car for me. We went to Mendenhall Auto and Larry greeted us and asked all the right questions, what kind of car, price range and even the color. He showed us what he had in mind and it was a Subaru - Cross Trek! We took it for a test drive. And was happy with that and the Starlink, that this car has to offer. Unbelievable! So the next step is to finance our car and Larry and Chance worked with us diligently. We were able to finance and drive off with my brand new 2024 Subaru Cross Trek! Thank you all ! I am grateful to you all.
