I would recommend this place to anyone who's having transmission issue or error code P0700/P0711. I have a 2016 GMC SIERRA 5.3 4X4 Z71 with the 8 speed transmission. I brought a 2015 Nissan Sentra off an online auction just to find out the transmission was jerking really bad. After looking up shops in Montgomery I decided to take a chance with Tonys Transmissions. He told me what was wrong, gave me options on which way to go about getting a new transmission, was honest and upfront about how long it would take, and was patient with me while I got my money right. I don’t think I’ve EVER met a human more knowledgeable and caring than Tony. I brought him my vehicle with a transmission warranty from another state. Tony and his team worked with them to square EVERYTHING away. If you want someone and a team behind him…that does honest work, I would not recommend anyone else. He treated both my spouse and I every time with dignity and respect knowing we did not understand transmission issues or replacement.

I met Tony and he was a very honest person. I had bought this truck in Memphis from a super nice person. I told him the light came on in Birmingham Alabama and I was able to drive it to Montgomery. I let Tony have it and told the man from TN that he put a new transmission in it. Tony called Jasper transmission and they told him it was already out of warranty. I told Tony to fix it. I also let the man in Memphis know that it was being rebuilt. I could have ask him for the full bill but I told him could we split the bill. He agreed and Venmo the money the next day. I could say I was lucky to get anything but he was honest and sent me some money. Tony did a great job on the repair. I will take all my transmission problems to him. Thanks Tony for a great job!
I would recommend Tony's Transmission to anyone that wants their transmission done right! Mr. Tony is very friendly, knowledgeable, and reasonable. I dropped my truck off Monday afternoon and they had my transmission rebuilt and ready to go by mid morning Friday even though they had a few jobs already scheduled ahead of me.

I took my Tundra in to have the transmission serviced. Mr. Tony drove and said it drives good. I had just driven it to and from Ga with no problems. I just wanted the transmission serviced for regular and normal fluids. Fastforward, He said he changed the fluids and filters, but a code of P2417 came up. Shouldnt he have called and told me that before completing the service? I told him that code was already fixed because I get my truck serviced. After picking it up, I drove about 5 to 7 miles to my daughter's softball game. After her game, driving home, the truck felt like somebody hit it from the back and it drove awful. I was able to make it home with my girls and park it. I called Mr. Tony the next morning and he said to bring it in. I couldnt make it, it stopped on me about 1 mile away from my home. Of course we had some words about the wrecker coming to get and he eventually sent his wrecker and said he will get it back up and call me. The call came saying I now need a new transmission. MY TRUCK WAS DRIVING GREAT AND CHANGING OUT PERFECTLY, EVEN BY HIS OWN ADMISSION. AND NOW I NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION. NO, I'M NOT ACCEPTING THAT, BUT HE SAID I HAVE TO ACCEPT IT (HIS WORDS). COURT, HERE WE COME...YALL BEWARE....THIS PLACE WAS NOT GOOD FOR US
I told him the tow truck will be there shortly. He tells me he got it running and the fluids are in there. Well, shouldn't the fluids already be in there if you serviced it yesterday? MAKE THIS MAKE SENSE MR. TONY. YOU DROVE MY VEHICLE AND SAID IT DROVE FINE AND YOU ARE THE EXPERT.
Tony saved me $6,700 by fighting with an insurance warranty company on my behalf for a total replacement of my Sierra’s transmission. He went above and beyond in helping me and I can literally not say enough about how impressed I was by their services. He brokered out a deal with GMC to put a new warrantied transmission in my truck. I shopped all over Montgomery for a good transmission shop, this is the standard.

Mr Tony is the only transmission shop I'll use. Was having issues with my 06 Ram 3500 and was told by one shop I needed a new one. Called Tony and after a few hours and changing out a solenoid, I was good to go. Best in town!

Tony really let us down. Had transmission trouble on the I-10 coming home from a FL vacation. Called Tony late Friday and he said he could look at it on Monday morning. Took our van in bright and early. Got him the codes that had been read off our engine at a shop in FL. When I called at close of business day on Tuesday, he told me one of the codes was inside the transmission and I would have to take it to the dealer. Doesn't his shop do transmission work? Why did he sit on this for two whole days? It has become very clear that he doesn't want my business. I am beyond frustrated because I need this vehicle in good working order in order to drive my kids back to college in TN this weekend. Can't imagine the dealer or anyone else being able to fix this within 3 days. I have no choice now but to rent something. Thanks for nothing, Tony.
Transmission went out everybody said it would be a month before they can get to it. NOT TONY'S TRANSMISSION!!!!!! Drop my truck off one day overnighted transmission the next then installed it the day after that and boom I'm freaking good to go and yeah it was that quick. They're down-to-earth extremely nice easy to work with.
I was traveling back to Atlanta and in Montgomery My check engine light came on. I found information for Tony's and called him. He was very understanding of my situation and even though he is in high demand, he said bring it in and I'll check it during my lunch. Upon arrival I was greeted by his Amazing Wife who was a combination of Southern Hospitality & Excellent Customer service. She reassured me that I was in good hand. Finally Tony not only fix the minor issue I had, but he also refused to charge me for the minor repair. He wished me a safe trip and Said God Bless. Tony was phenomenal. I have an older ranger that was having problems with the modulator. It seemed to be a difficult problem to diagnose since it is much older and my truck does not have newer electrical systems. It was my grandmothers truck and is one of the only possessions that I have from her. Tony replaced my modulator free of charge. What a guy. Absolutely fantastic service. We met Mr. Tony and his wife when we dropped off our truck. We believed that it was having some transmission issues and it was, Mr. Tony said that the transmission needed to be rebuilt. He was gonna charge us a diagnostic fee, but when he saw how bad off the truck really was, he didn't have the heart to charge us. He was very nice and told us what he thought we should do with the truck. Everyone please go see this gentlemen, if you are having transmission issues. He was awesome!!
I took my SUV ( 2001 Isuzu Rodeo ) to Tony to check the transmission because it was doing some slipping He checked it out real good and said that it would definitely need to be re-built.. I saved up some money and talked to Tony all through this it took him a total of three days to take out the transmission rebuild it and just picked it up today On Wednesday 9/2, It is running wonderful, Just like new and mine is also a four-wheel drive He made sure to check all those parts and components did a road test with it just everything by the book. I was recommended to Tony by some people that he had done work for in the Wetumpka area where I live and work at and they were spot on about him and his wife do very helpful and in my opinion with over 34 years experience he might cost a little more, But you can bet you will get the most thorough job out of him then any other Transmission Shop in the Tri-County area. I have a 2002 GMC Envoy has been one of the best cars I have owned. All maintenance up to date with 209,000 miles. It quite shifting into overdrive so I called around. Tony's rated was the best recommended from reading the reviews and talking to over car specialists. Took it in and Tony called me about 3 hours later with the new, myoptions and what he recommended. Decided to have a rebuilt. When I pick edit up 2 days later, he gave me a detailed explanation of the work done. Tony was very professional and listened to my questions about the rebuild and explains specific thing he did to improve the finished work such it drives now better than when I bought it. I couldn't reccomend him enough. I've been taken several times in the past from shady experts. You wont get any of this at Tony's just true honest and professional service that is very hard to find in today's market

I'm nearing the end of my 3,000 mile trip from Mexico when my truck's transmission decided "basta!, enough!" We limped into Tony's after 9 AM. Tony and his lovely wife Janice made sure my wife and son were comfortable and they had a reasonably priced rebuilt transmission with a 3 year warranty delivered by the afternoon. They had me on the road again by 5:30 PM the same day! This family-owned business is honest, friendly and courteous. While I was waiting I noticed that there were happy repeat customers in the waiting area, some having brought their second and third cars there for service.

Tony worked on my transmission in November 2014. He was timely, professional and friendly. That's not the reason I write the review though. I started having problems with my transmission in December 2015. Just out of warranty. I came to see Tony and told him about the troubles. Tony took the car in and rebuilt the tranny all over again. It isn't only about how someone does their work but how they stand behind their work. I will be back at Tony's and I will happily trust him with my car :) A great place and a great guy.
