They did a transmission fluid change on my car after almost every other shop in Montgomery turned me away. The price was also less than half of what the dealership quoted. They explained everything very clearly, even for someone like me who’s not a native English speaker. Honest, professional, and highly recommended!
I cannot recommend this business enough. There are a few things that make this business really stick out amongst the competition. 1. You receive a warm greeting as soon as you enter the building. 2. I’ve brought my car here multiple times and have never felt that they were trying to upsell me on things I don’t need. They always seem to have my best interest in mind. 3. They work in a timely manner. My car recently died on me over a holiday weekend and I brought it in to be looked at first thing on Tuesday morning (with no appointment because they were closed for the holiday). They had it looked over, repaired, and back to me by the next day. 4. They always let me know what needs to be done and discuss pricing before completing work. 5. They arguably have the most fair pricing in the entire city of Montgomery. So grateful I stumbled upon this hidden gem of a business.
As a widow who moved to a new part of town, I started taking my car to Forest Hills. It has been one of the best decisions ever! Jason and crew have always given excellent, knowledgable service, respecting my budget. More, they've been kind and considerate. Five years, a new husband, and 2 new cars later, we're still using this shop. You should, too.
Shop “replaced” the water pump on my parent’s car back in January. The car overheated out of town and was towed to another shop where they found out that the water pump had never been replaced. Called Forest Hills Garage to ask them about this, Jason raised his voice to me on the phone and cussed at me. Will never be taking another vehicle here, they are crooks and do not know how to talk to people.
Generally been very happy with them over the years. Pro: They have been very reasonable pricing-wise, and do very good work. Con: They are a little slow in returning your car (because they tend to be so busy). If you are in a rush, I would recommend another location.
They do good work but they keep your car a long time. My car was towed on a Tuesday. I got it back Thursday of that next week. Have more than one means of transportation if not you are SOL. Literally.
Poor customer services. I took my truck in for repair and they didn’t do anything to it after holding it for almost 30 days. They kept it for almost 30 days didn’t make any repairs. The shop stated they couldn’t find the parts to repair the truck. The shop used my truck as a gate to keep cars from entering the back of the shop during non working hours. They burned a quarter of tank of gas moving my truck daily for personal use. They broke my oil stick and stated I brought it in broke. When I picked up my truck I had to pay them $80 for nothing and then I had to buy a new oil stick since the tech broke it. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I gave a 1 star become it was the lowest I could give.
Jason was extremely helpful in getting my husband's car towed to the garage in a timely manner, and his flat tire fixed within a couple of hours. I am very thankful for their prompt service and great value for the price paid.

My name is Rickardo Hudson, an I ran over a small animal and my car started over heating. Drop my car off here and the sweet lady at the front took me and my wife to enterprise to get a car rented so we could make it back home to Panama City, Florida and that’s the only reason I’m giving this company one star because u don’t deserve any.
The long and short of the story is this company charged my insurance $1173.10 on June 2020 and I have attempted twice to take this car back to Panama City and both times I had to have it sent back to the repair shop after 15 mins of driving out. PS This place is 3 and a half hours away from my home. I had to also pay a wrecker fee which I paid and almost a year later I still haven’t gotten my car back. Now the car is still not fixed and the insurance company won’t make another pay out to them. So my car is still at this property today 03/31/2021. The owner or whatever his title is, I think his name is Jason, advised me that he was request that the insurance company write off my car because it was now too expensive to fix because it wasn’t diagnosed properly so the insurance could do a proper payout and that still hasn’t been done so my time and money has all gone down the drain and this just doesn’t sit write with me. Now after this review I’m probably gonna have to go get it at my expensive to have it on a wrecker and take it 3.5 hours away. This breaks my heart because this car was my first and still is my favorite, 2007 Mercedes Benz c280.
Forest Hills Garage does not appear to be conducting honest business anymore. We do not intend to use their services in the future. We took our vehicle to them for their "professional" opinion regarding the check engine light. They told us that the vehicle was unsafe to drive due to a bad alternator that needed to be replaced immediately. Results: (1) They misdiagnosed the problem! The check engine light came back on one day after picking up the vehicle. (2) They pulled the old alternator out of the vehicle without our consent. We told them to wait for us to pick up the vehicle so we could resolve the issue ourselves. When we arrived to reclaim the car keys, they told us the alternator had already been pulled out. (3) Their pricing was awful. They attempted to charge double the current market value for a part that we ultimately did not need.
They had my car for 3 months with no updates on car than they tell me my car jumped timing,but it was all a scam to get me out of money.I came and got my car back let a certified mechanic diagnose my car its was a O2 sensor.This place not all that jus a friendly reminder ppl be careful an mindful scamming still exist!!
They find the problem in my car quikly, a problem other garage caused and when I went back to them to fix it, they told me they can't find it because they did not have the tool to do the tests and scans, so they told me themself.
"Just take to Forest Hill Garage, they will find the problem" and they did, I will sure will be back the next time any of my cars need service.
I took my Ford Expedition too them a few months back. My Air Conditioner was not blowing cold air. I was fully prepared to pay for a full AC replacement. They looked at the AC system and discovered that when I charged the system the previous season that I had accidentally added the wrong coolant. They flushed the system added the correct coolant and BAM! Working AC! They are very honest and saved me a ton of money. AAA+
I was told by Gibson's Tire in Millbrook that I needed $700.00 in ball joints. I took it to Jason at Forest Hill Garage because I trust them. They have done the majority of my repairs for years with no problems. Jason told me my ball joints were fine and did not need to be replaced. What more can you say about a company!!!!! A++++++++
I took my car to this auto shop to get my a/c fixed last year 2021 of July. It started blowing cold air like normal until yesterday 2022 of August it started blowing warm air. It doesn't make sense the fact that my compressor went out that quick, I feel like a bandaid was placed on it just to make it a temporary fix.
From what I have seen, Jason and his team have been upfront and honest to me. He also came highly recommended from a mechanic that I trust very much. If they were unable to fix something, they would let me know and recommend the best place to go. I have used them numerous times and would definitely use them again.
I wish I didn’t have to even give the one star but I paid 1100 dollars because I was told my transmission needed to be replaced, they kept my car off and on for 9 months to do this. I took it back to them 3 times and still had the same problem, and he didn’t want to give me a refund. After this He told me my transmission control module needed to be reprogramed and kept my car for an extra 3 weeks saying he sent it to brewbaker but when I called brewbaker I was told my car was never serviced by them and so now I’m out of 1100 and I still have to pay brewbaker to do what I was told was already done I will never bring my car here again and now with them lying about sending it to brewbaker I’m not even sure he actually replaced my transmission
FHG is the only place I take my vehicles to for work. Fair prices and honest people. They do not try to sell you unnecessary stuff. I'll be honest here - the main reason I started using them is because my mom (who is old) went to them and they treated her with respect without trying to take advantage of her.
I have been using Forest Hill garage for awhile now and I have never been disappointed in there service, at first I felt like the prices were too high but I come to realize that for the great service they offer it’s worth the price. Thank you for your service.

These people have been holding my moms car for over 6 months and they didn't do anything to it. Want 580 because they looked at it??? My mom is 70 years old and now has no vehicle because these people refuse to release her car.
They did fix my car but I was not impressed with their ability to diagnose my issue. I diagnosed the problem and they seemed indifferent. The work was slow and my car wreaked of gas fumes when I picked it up.
Poor service. My car was at their shop for almost two weeks because they claimed they didn't know what was wrong with it. After I proclaimed to pick up my car and take it somewhere else, it was surprisingly ready the next day with a $600.00 attached. I am never returning to this shop. They may have a 4.5 rating, but it must be for American cars and small mechanical work.
I’ve been using them for years now. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve thought for sure it was going to be some major expensive repair and they find it’s a minor problem for far less money. Honest and friendly people. Wholeheartedly recommend.
Did an awesome job on my van. I had an electrical problem and they figured out the problem unlike the 1st place I took it. Will definitely come here first from now on!
Very helpful people. They don't overcharge, and are very fair. He will let you know what the problem is in plain words, and doesn't hide things from you.
