The guys at the shop in Montgomery, off Zelda road, were fantastic. I was in Montgomery from out of town & had an unexpected oil issue & did not want to drive my car back to Bham before having it checked. They took great care of me, and were able to get me back on the road with everything working as expected again. Very much appreciated.
Car towed to them after hours. They have a convenient after hours drop box for keys. Car was looked at first thing in the morning and I was back on the road by lunchtime
My daughter goes to college out of town, in Montgomery, and she had a damaged tire that needed to be replaced. After they forgot to put in an order for the tire and call her back, they told her the exact match was not in stock and replaced it with a more expensive run flat version. It is completely unsafe to mix run flat tires with regular tires and when I called the store, they were argumentative. Waiting to talk to the manager, to anyone. Once this review hit, I was contacted via email by Pep Boys and I’m still waiting to receive a phone call.
My daughter ended up going to another shop and got 4 new, correct tires and they put the run-flat in her trunk. The next day she went by Pep Boys to to try to return the tire, but was told the manager could not do that, but would submit the report and my daughter would receive their “decision” in the mail in the next 30 days. 30 days? What decision?
Stopped by this tire shop when one of mine went flat, and they took care of me right quick. The fellas knew their stuff, helped me pick the right set without tryin to upsell nothin I didn’t need. They had me back on the road in no time, tires balanced and ridin smooth. Price was fair, service was friendly, and the whole job was done clean. I’ll be comin back here next time my truck needs new rubber.
Guy behind the counter was great. The guy who showed up 20 min late and then proceeded to clean his toolbox until I left at 945, was not so good. Got there when opened left with no service, and I was only there to PLUG A TIRE!
Amazing. Simply amazing. We experienced a flat tire due to road debris on I-85 and this happened right around 6pm on a Saturday. We quickly looked around for a tore shop and found that this one was very near our flat tire location. As soon as our spare was on, we headed over to Pepboys and Rae was absolutely stellar (thank you Rae!) Service was really friendly, fast and just plain good! In and out in less than one hour for one tire. We got lucky for not having to waitGo see them for your tires!!
I will never in my life go to another pep boys it’s always a bad experience some way or the other, overcharged and work didn’t even fix the issue. I recommend mavis
Our trip from SC to Lafayette, LA was saved by the wonderful people at the Pepboy’s crew at the Zelda road location. We had a flat on our brand new car and got there just before closing. Rae was so nice about it. They fixed it quickly and for free. We were so pleased at how we were treated we will find a Pepboys when we get home and buy our full sized spare there. Hope other Pepboys are as good as that crew. Thank you again!
We were traveling and got a flat tire due to a nail in the tire. It was a Sunday so options were extremely limited. Even though our appointment was for a later time, Pep Boys serviced our vehicle right away and got us back on the road in no time at all. Saved our day!
Long wait times. I arrived at 7AM along with other customers and the guy who delivers tires to only wait till 9:30 AM for anyone to show up. Then took until 12:30 PM to finally finish my service for replacing 4 tires with a booking 3 days in advance.
They lied to me about the service needed for my vehicle. They were dishonest about my vehicle and what it needed. They up charged me for the service and then added more services for my vehicle that actually didn’t need it. They were not there to fix the problem, they just wanted to make money and didn’t care to actually help my vehicle or me at all. Horrible employees and horrible customer service
My experience at Pep Boys on Zelda Road.in Montgomery was great. Erica was professional, kind, and had an extra amount of patience with me and the other customers in the store. I will definitely recommend my friends and family use that store because of her.
I loved the professionalism l experienced. The tow guys were neat and dressed in uniform. They explained and answered all questions. After dropping off the keys in the key box, l called Pep boys the next day to find out they were already diagnosing the problems for my Buick encore. Pep boys diagnosed my cars problems made the repairs need to drive it again and this was done in a timely manner. The price was bearable and l was given a military or senior discount off towing and repairs. The only problems l had was that l had to pay $25 for the tow guy to take me home after dropping off the SUV to the closed pepboys dropoff and l had to wait 3 hours for the 2nd tow truck to come since the 1st tow truck didn't have the equipment to tow my awd suv. Other than that, l will use the pepboy services again. L. Smith
6/9/24 I went to this particular pepboys with two go kart tires. Nothing big just needed a plug in one and a new valve stem in the other. The guy I spoke to being a black guy maybe in his 20's wearing a red hoodie and what looked like sweatpants was at the desk. I told him what I needed and he kept cutting me off when i got to needing the plug in the tire. I said fine just do the valve stem. He said be bout an hour. I left.
An hour later I come back my tire is still where I left it. I am sitting at the front desk for almost 15 minutes. Another lady even pulls up and he tends to her. Then he comes and finally speaks to me and had no idea what I even needed. So he steps out I guess to talk to the other guy and comes back and tells me nobody there knows how to do a go kart tire.
If you had told me that when I came by an hour before I could have possibly found a shop that was open that could have done the valve stem. But no instead he didn't even want me in the building. I guess i was interrupting his phone time.
I had a great experience today! Came in around 5pm to check out my car, it had a wobble while driving that I wasn’t sure what the cause was. We talked about what the potential causes could be, got it looked at, and figured out it needed new front tires. They didn’t try to upsell me at all, no pressure to do more than we discussed, and I had mentioned in passing checking my oil to make sure it was good, though it wasn’t the main priority - the lovely man at the desk remembered to take a look before passing it back to me and all was well. I felt heard and taken care of! Got in and out within about an hour, all before close on a Friday? Amazing. My car feels 100% better to drive now. Everyone was friendly and kind, easy to talk to, and overall just had great vibes. Support these guys! Really grateful to have them in the neighborhood!
I needed front and rear breaks for my van after an accident. Mr. Kavaris Purnell gave me excellent customer service. The price was average the waiting time was decent. I was able to watch through a window as they worked on my van and noticed that the crew took excellent care of my van. I highly recommend this store
I dropped my car off December 20, 2023. I received my car back on Feb 2, 2024, after I called corporate 2 days prior. I'm thoroughly displeased with the amount of time it took to service my vehicle which went in for a water pump and timing belt change. I paid $900+ and couldn't even drive my car smh. There's something wrong with this location. Over the last 6 months there have been 3 complete staff changes. New guys that don't know to properly put in charges, etc.
Dometrius, is the technician that has worked on my vehicle previously and he does pretty good work especially with troubleshooting. Hopefully they are/have been getting more qualified staffing. I definitely feel like I should be compensated for the inconvenience.
This store is very unprofessional from the staff, the manager and condition of the building. They sit and bide their time and while doing so, they are discussing personal information and being very vulgar. I got an alignment done to my vehicle on 2/1/24 and on 2/2/24 I went elsewhere to get a balance & rotation and was told about the condition of my tires after I have already paid for an alignment. If they were doing their jobs instead of playing then I could have done what I needed to do prior to getting an alignment or a balancing. I do not recommend this particular PepBoys in this city.
A great experience from start to finish, customer service was amazing. Percina communicated the process clearly and was friendly and helpful. Arthur explained the work completed and answered any questions I had. I really enjoyed this trip and was treated very well. Will recommend their service.
I would like to take sometime to write my review about the Pep boys on Zelda road, The manager on site Mr.Ray is a pleasant person who knows what it means to respect his customers, the technician that was assigned to my vehicle was very knowledgeable about what was going on with my car. I asked if I could look at the issue and they didn't hesitate to allow me to see my car. So I truly appreciate all that they have done for me today.
After a blowout and waiting for 2 hours for a tow, they got us fixed up within 20 minutes. I would give them 10 stars for their customer service, Especially Miss Rae who helped check us in and out. She made a bad day turn better with her help!
They turned up when we needed them the most. Our vehicle was towed to their shop, they assessed it and said they could fix it and get us on the road again. A gesture we appreciated. Their service is quite expensive though I must add but overall I recommend.
Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was told my car would be ready the next day. At the end of the day I called and they told me it would be ready the next day. No one bothered to call and let me know anything. The next day same thing. They finally get it ready after 3 days, call and tell me to come pick it up.
When I get there the tech is "test" driving my car. He returns almost an hour later. Obviously out running errands in my car. The car smelled horrible and was dirty.
You could not pay me to go to another Pep Boys.
I really wish that you can give negative stars because this is the worst pep boys I ever went to.
I understand they are short staffed but that doesn’t give them the right to mess up your vehicle.
It took about 4 hours for an oil change which I completely understood but when I got my car back, I literally drove maybe a half of a mile and when I sped up to go into the Highway my car made a funny noise, literally sounded like something broke under my car, i immediately pulled over and called them to let them know, and they said your car sounded fine when I pulled it out but drive it over here and we can look at it.
No way was I gonna drive my car because I had no idea what was wrong with it. So I had it towed back to the shop, they wanted to know what kind of noise it made and I told them it was my drip pan. No apologies, no reimbursement for the tow. Absolutely nothing.
They didn’t even complete the vehicle inspection, or check my tires which is something that is included with the synthetic oil change. The only reason I know they didn’t because I have a tire indicating low air pressure and it has a message displayed on the dash.
