I had my truck towed in it would not go into gear or reverse it’s a automatic transmission…They replaced the actuator on transmission which it was a $2550.00 bill paid them picked my truck up check trans light started to flash and gear numbers to F… Called they said bring it back to scan code took truck back they said the code was not holding in computer so it was no code and the light was gonna continue to flash due to the on board reader safety system…. So I left mind you I’m only went 6 miles to park 6 miles back then parked truck…I went to yard to check over truck for the next morning load and to go fuel up and my truck did the same exact thing would not go into gear or reverse…. I went back to Russel and told him I only drove my truck 6 miles from you and 6 miles back to you then parked and my truck is doing the same thing as when I had it towed in…. He said bring it back so we can scan it again so now you want me to get it towed back to you outta my pocket for a job I paid you $2550.00 to fix and it’s doing the same thing then he goes to say I’ll pay half the tow bill but it’s probably gonna be the transmission and that could cost 6k to 7k to fix.. You just diagnosed my truck so called fixed the problem now saying it’s my transmission and you had my trucks whole week…. PLEASE DONT DO BUSINESS HERE THEY JUST ASSUME THE PROBLEM AND HAVE YOU SPEND UNNECESSARY MONEY AND YOUR PLOBLEM STILL EXISTS PLEASE FOLKS DONT DO BUSINESS HEAR AT ALL
Hi everyone, please, please stay away from this place. Don't come here. They will scam you. My truck was there for a drivetrain change. They charged me a high price for parts with no warranty, and they put the wrong parts in. When I tried to contact them, they didn't help me and they don't have any respect for their customers. Warning: Stay away; look for another place.
Got up and my Truck would not start this morning. Stevie came out in an hr and started testing things right away. He tested many things and did get the truck started but was unable to completely repair the situation. I drove to my mechanic in Okc without turning the truck off.

Nice guys; lost air turning to exit and will not build up; taught was the compressor and could have been towed to a shop; sent a guy, air up my tank and followed me to there shop; diagnosis showed it was not the compressor but the

I called to discuss an overheating issue with my personal truck. They explained the issue to me in layman’s terms, explained the best approach to get me back on the road quickly to make it to my destination and didn’t charge me for the advice.I will use this company again for any issue I encounter; they are more than fair and honest.

Great job guys.gerald was my tech.between him and jes the owner they diagnosed my def system issue in a timely manner.replaced the bad part on my way no further issues .ive been driving 45 years very seldom experienced a shop getting it right the 1st time.while I was at the shop seen several drivers come in with various issues from ac to brakes also coolant and trailer doors broke all got repaired in a timely manner.russells repair staff top notch.very professional. Regrettably, my recent experience with this establishment has been less than satisfactory. The apparent lack of dedication to providing decent customer service is disheartening. The mechanics' reluctance to engage in their tasks is evident, creating an atmosphere that leaves much to be desired. An incident occurred where I discovered a discrepancy in their communication – a concerning red flag.
In an attempt to resolve the matter, I decided to tow my truck back to my hometown due to the subpar service. Astonishingly, when I called 45 minutes before closing, I was assured that my truck had been attended to and was in the process of being serviced. However, upon arriving with the tow truck the following morning, I found my vehicle untouched, positioned exactly where I had left it.
To my fellow truckers, I earnestly advise exercising caution and considering alternative options to avoid potential disappointments associated with this establishment.
Best shop on the road! If I breakdown anywhere remotely close I'll pay the extra to get it towed here just for the peace of mind that my truck is in good hands! Great folks! Don't forget drivers....ya get what ya pay for...
I called them for a brake chamber replacement, they came from 11 miles and charged for 30 miles $2 each, and 2 hrs labor, do you think it takes 2 hrs?
in total they gave me $733 for a brake chamber and I paid $673.50 with so many arguments, the job they did does not worth
They charged us $500 dollars to replace a $24 7-way electrical receptacle. It wasn't a road call. We pulled into their shop before they closed. They didn't have the part in stock, so we waited at their facility while their tech purchased a 7-way terminal. When he returned to the shop, they charged us for 2hrs of labor $310 and a $125 call out fee, although we were parked at their shop the whole time...
It's been the worst experience, I ever seen in my 30 years, to my fellow brothers and sisters of the highway, don't ever stop at this Russell truck repair shop. They will make sure to break your wallet without fixing anything. They are not mechanics, they are a bunch of thieves. I took my truck to them just to replace my air compressor and some gears that got damaged. They wanted to charge me over 14,00 to fixed the problem with no guarantee. I decided to to pay for a tow truck instead and take the truck to Houston where they have real professionals mechanics not thieves. The truck was at the wannabe shop for two weeks, they never called me for an update on my truck and they we're so rude and Unprofessional when I called to see how was my truck. They try to say they need it to remove the engine to do the job, like if it was an overhaul. I called a few mechanics & all they told me was run from does thieves, there's no need to remove the engine. The mechanics in Houston are just charging me 2,000 for labor pls parts.almost 4,500 without removing the engine of course. They ended up charging me 2500 to remove the transmission and the compressor, they also damage my airlines and didn't fixed the problem.once again my brother's & sisters from the highway don't take your bussiness to this thieves at

Overall a good experience. I found them to be a bit dismissive at times and not very proactive. I had to keep on them to get approvals from warranty for repairs and didn't receive a call from them once repairs were completed. Not sure when I would have been informed if I hadn't called.
But the job was done in a timely manner and I did share a few giggles with the staff.
We stopped by for a PTO switch leak. Although they didn't have the part they were able to send us off temporarily to get home. Very knowledgeable, affordable and professional. I'd highly recommend these folks

Traveling through Montgomery a few months ago while fueling I noticed water dripping out under the RV. Called Russell Truck Repair and advised to have it towed in but said they were busy and no guarantee on when it could be looked at. They were packed, but slipped us in. (We were into the first week of a two- month trip.) Bottom line they had some time to check out what was wrong and our 2007 water pump had failed. They got on it in between mobile calls and we were out of there in three days. Everyone was very nice; mechanics were very careful working inside the RV which was greatly appreciated. Great people and service at Russell Truck Repair.

Dropped a 48' trailer off and gave instructions at the counter to a gentleman and a lady about the brakes not working. The man took down my information on a piece of paper. They said they would look at it within a couple of hours. 2 days later, I called to check on it and they weren't even aware of it being there. Several days later, I called to check on it and they said it was ready. They had done a brake job on it, which was not even the issue. I left it there and they said they would work on it again. They then said it was a valve they had to order. When I called back to check on it, they said the valve would be in by the end of the week. I called the following Friday and they said they never could find a valve so it was never ordered. I picked the trailer up and took it to another shop for repairs. This is terrible service. Please be honest with your customers and diagnose properly. This ended up costing me a lot of money and time.
A service call technician arrived at my home to look at my truck and he spent 1 hour and 18 minutes working on my vehicle but i was charged for 2.5 hours. When i informed them of the discrepancy, i was told $90 won't break me and i was refused a refund although i have proof with my video surveillance. I was also charged $88 for a clutch switch which i did not need and this part did not resolve the issue, my truck still didn't start. To make matters worse, they had my truck in their possession for 2.5 days and then claimed they couldn't fix it and told me to take it to the dealer. And although they didn't fix anything, i was charged $1050. There's no way they should have claimed to have spent 10 hours on my vehicle. Any decent shop would have simply charged me for a diagnostic which normally takes 2 to 3 hours. This is clearly a hit and miss shop. When i called to express my dissatisfaction, they hung up in my face several times. After the phone was hung up in my face and i was told to pick up my truck, i told Jeb that i was unsatisfied with the outrageous amount and he disappeared and i was unable to discuss the bill with anyone. If you want to be taken advantage of, robbed blind, hoodwinked and bamboozled, this is your place.... They use no vaseline! These folks use to have a good reputation in montgomery they must be going through financial issues although this may be the case be a stand up bussiness until the doors close instead of screwing people to keep the lights on
Great customer service! Rv tailpipe came off our diesel pusher and Steve built a new custom pipe to replace. Can't thank this shop enough as we were our way back home after tropical storm shortened our vacation with granddaughters. Immediately they got us in and back on the road. To top it off it was reasonable. Definitely a place to keep in our book for future travel.
Needed a crankcase gasket leak fixed. Got the truck to them around 11am on Friday. Had it done by 7:30 am Sat. Couldn't ask for better. Jeb and the guys got it done in a pinch and very reasonable price. Outstanding service. They are open till noon on Saturday..doing repairs, not just the parts department. Rare these days. Will definitely use their service again.
So far we are very happy with their service. We moved our truck from one shop to them after being told we had two bad injectors. One of those injectors had just been installed by Cummins two weeks prior. Russell reran the injector tests and found no problems but did find that our fuel filter was not working correctly. They got it checked, fixed and back to us for less than $200. We will definitely use them in the future, their labor prices are definitely more than fair.
i took my truck there and what they did was trash because my trucks cooler was not working and what they did made it worst. they said that they fixed the problem but it only lasted 2 hours. and because of that i have to put in all the cooler tubes new. and the i called them and said that that was not there problem and that they are not going to return my money. i don't recommend this place at all.
This guys over here know how to work on truck, they are professionals and they take care about you and you truck very quick and they are not lazy like other shop! So i and recommend this guys, i work with Mark and Clint, very good and respectful people!
