This is one of the most honest car shops that I have been to. Not only are they AAA approved they call you and keep you up to date. My car runs like a new car. This is my new go to shop! I just talked to a guy on the phone about my truck and he was completely honest it's always good when people are honest and not oh well I'm just going to do whatever and take your money I appreciate him being honest this is a great place to get your car fixed and looked at you should all come there are no worries here with these people
I called to have an estimate repair cost and the man who answered the phone was being very rude and disrespectful because he couldn’t hear me. When I asked if I could just call him back he hung up in my face mid sentence.
Here's the thing. Charles has been a trusted friend of our vehicles for decades and Chris is a perfectionist when it comes to repair. He believes in repair,not patching.
All of my vehicles have attained high mileage and are all roadworthy because of the professional care provided by Charles and Chris.
A very good example is the air conditioner repair done in 2013 on a 1989 S-10.
It has been 12 years now with no more issues. Ice cold air!

This upfront pay scammer I don’t no what’s on his mind I came in with my car I told him that I just need a starter but he want to say it’s not the starter it’s something else so I paid 598 for it off my card he took 598 twice I can’t believe this man scam me in my car still in the same condition so now I went to Gibson tire pro shop in the same area in got it fix.now I’m on the road thanks Gibson pro for hard work of doing not u scammer don’t go here
Having a flat tire is never a good thing, but having a flat tire when you are on vacation 200 miles from home is definitely not a good thing. If you do have a flat tire, however, hopefully you will be close to Charley and River Region Auto Shop. They did a fantastic job of getting us fixed and back on the road. I cannot say enough for the professionalism and help that Charlie and his crew gave us. We broke down on our way from Panama City to Kentucky for a funeral. They went above and beyond to get us back on the road.
This is my third time trusting River Region Auto & Service with maintenance issues that have never been fully resolved elsewhere and this is the 3rd time they come through! I am very pleased and impressed with their work!! From the start, they are extremely courteous and friendly - customer service has been outstanding (from their warm greetings, to texting me pictures to what they found, to giving me information about the overall 'health' of my car). Regarding the quality of their workmanship, they are the only auto service I've encountered in my 10 years, and experiences with 4 garages, that goes beyond just fixing the issue. They replaced missing line caps, fixed the hood support arm, and took care of a stubborn hood latch (my van is 17 yrs old) all without asking or charge!
My wife and I were passing through Montgomery enroute to Florida when the engine blew on our Kia. We had it towed to River Region and received some excellent service and value. It is a highly ethical and honest business, and it was a relief dealing with them when we urgently needed help.

After looking at my car's problem, they exactly knew what to do. My friend recommended me to go here because he had a great experience with them, and I am extremely thankful because I did too! Car broke down on the way to florida. I’ve never met such a nice and honest owner/mechanic. His son got right to work and got us back on the road as soon as he could, even working past closing time. If you live near here, this is your go to
Took my Toyota Camry to be fixed and was a little disappointed that my issue has not been resolved when I picked it up. When I returned, I spoke with the owner's son and he assured me that they would resolve the issue. It is very rare these days to find a repair shop that actually is honest and desires to please their clients. Mr Charles and his son worked extensively on my car to resolve my issues. I was so pleased by Mr Charles, his continuous communication with me on their progress.
Each time we spoke, he was so sincere and ensured I understood every step they were taking. They repaired my car and I could not be more pleased. God truly guided me to their location and I am so glad he did!

Very professional very friendly. I broke down on a Sunday and they had me on the road before lunch on Monday, and worked to find me the best parts cheap. If I ever have car trouble in Montgomery again, I know where I’m coming.
I had an incredible experience here! My wife and I are from Ohio and we’re visiting Montgomery. Our A/C went out and we needed it fixed same day because of our travel plans. I called Charles the owner and he got us right in. The entire team was incredibly professional and kind. When it comes to auto repairs in a new city you’re always wary of getting a fair deal. This was by far the best experience I've ever had with a repair shop. We broke down on the highway and was referred by AAA. Not only were they super friendly, but they immediately got us in and helped us get back on the road fast! If we lived in Montgomery they would be our go to shop. Cannot speak highly enough of them. Service was horrible he did more guessing on my old 2003 gmc truck . I was told the fuel panel need changing well as the key switch well as the senor which he stated i need 2 change the panel but he was sure if they was the mind issue. That would.cost me ?? He wasn't sure just to change the panel would have cost me??? I don't no i had 2 pay 100.00 up front just for them 2 look under the hood but from the look of it the panel never been removed are look into . waste of time . I find someone to fix it . all that was wrong sensor. Scammers.
Wish there were 10 stars. We broke down day before Thanksgiving traveling from Atlanta to the Gulf Coast with my 14-yr old son and large dog. Brad from Till's Towing (who was also great) recommended this place since insurance was not much help. He towed our Tundra to River Region Auto, and I'm sooo thankful to Chris and his dad and their shop!!! They were honest, kind, and performed quality work. There's nothing more that you can ask of people. They took on a complicated (3-4 hour), last minute job because they did not want me stranded on the holiday. We were back on the road same day which I DID NOT expect and also at a fair price. I had already reserved a car rental. We felt safe and taken care of and welcomed even though we (including a 95 lb doberman) took up their entire tiny waiting area for hours! They didn't seem to mind at all. Thanks to this shop. Good to know places like this exist.
Honest shop. Charlie was great. The part we ordered was not needed after they found a bad fuse. Charlie refunded me the money for the part. I’ll definitely be going back for their services.
I use River Region Auto and Service for all my car and truck repairs and service! The level of professionalism, and quality of their work is excellent, and you will save money on your repair compared to other places around.
I am SO IMPRESSED with this auto shop. We were driving from Florida to Tennessee and had a transmission issue and got towed here, and they were incredibly kind and accommodating. Charlie made us feel at home and assured us that he would get us taken care of as quickly as possible- and we were back on the road in 4 hours! They had plenty of other cars to be working on but made sure they did everything they could to get us home quickly. Thank you Charlie and all of the other workers who helped us!
All issues were thoroughly explained and permission sought for all work to be done. Work was completed in a timely manner. Charlie and Chris were awesome.
What a pleasure it is to write a review of Charles and his company River Region Auto Service. Two weeks ago, my car broke down 30 miles outside of Montgomery and AAA had the driver deliver my car to Charles' shop, I assume due to his stellar rating and reviews. Charles was fair, direct, accommodating, and a nice guy. If I lived in or around Montgomery, Charles would take care of my cars. Two thumbs up.
My car broke down on a road trip through Alabama. AAA recommended River Region and so we towed it there. I could not have been more pleased with the level of service. Charles explained everything to me each step of the way as he diagnosed and repaired my car. His prices were very fair. This shop is run by honest people with high integrity. It was obvious as we waited in their waiting room and call after call came in and people walked in to get their vehicles. Customers treated Charles as a friend. He runs a great repair shop. I only wish it was located where I live in Texas so he could be my regular mechanic.
These guys were Courteous, knowledgeable, quick, and competent. I was on a business trip when my car broke down. These guys got me back on the road in less than an hour. The facility isn't auspicious and I wasn't terribly pleased with the tow truck driver for recommending them when I first arrived but don't judge a book by it's cover. What they lack in aesthetics they more than make up for in competence; which is a trade I will gladly take any day of the week.
