These guys have done a lot to organize the process in the past few years. They have red/green lights to manage entrance to keep things from getting congested. The guy running the claw does a great job at getting what he can of your trailer. Overall a pleasant and efficient process.
I read many of the reviews and I must say, I didn't have any problems with the yard staff, but u better count your money b4 you leave. I've been shorted by the lady at the window. So really 2.5 stars.
Out of all the recycling places I've been to, which is more than 10, this is the only place I've ever had problems. However it's problems every time ! Common sense is a thing of the past....well, I did it again. I went back to that forsaken scrapyard. Just wanted to unload a couple of old appliances. Long story short...one of their many rude employees, threatened to beat the _____ out of me, and then ____ me in the ___ ! I told him I didn't swing that way.
The worst place I've ever visited, and this was my first time there. They get zero stars. I didn't follow his rules and got sent home for 24 hours. Yes, you heard that right, I was told I could come back tomorrow when I could follow his rules. Please take heed, do not waste your time at this business. I drove 55 miles to Selma to do business with a recycling company.
Unclear instructions. Rude staff. Hope they go out of business. Don’t waste your time going here. Please, go somewhere else and support better scrapyards.
Worst place I have ever taken scrap metal. Do not waste your time there. The workers are extremely rude and condescending. Especially the woman working the window. Not very clear what to do when you get there. You call and its only a prerecorded message with their hours and a useless scrap price message. They cant provide any lists on any prices to you. It's not clear what they dont take and you could be wasting your time with a trip there when they say they cant take something that other scrap yards take. They have incompetent help that doesnt know their metals at all. Basically they will cheat you out bc their incompetent help makes calls for the pricing on some of your stuff.
Bottom line - never take your scrap metal here ever.
Ok so I was in a hurry and decided to go to Rowley scrap yard instead of the one in selma who is absolutely wonderful, fair, nice, helpful and highest paying scrap yard within 2 hours of Thomasville. We pulled up before 330 so their cut off time was 350 345 now 330. We had plenty of time. Well I was wrong. They left us waiting at the gate and didn't tell us they were closing early because "they had something to do." The rude lady at the front desk let us sit there not saying one word about closing early a customer had to yell across the parking lot to let us know. The sad thing is we called earlier that day and ask the price of things and the rude lady dint say one word then either. There was nothing posted on Facebook or anywhere else. They have done this several times and was very rude about it to. The front lady desk acts like she is too good for everyone and has been very rude every time I call. The owner is a joke no wonder why he can't keep anyone hired.
The lady who answers the phone is very rude!!! I asked a question & she said 3:50 hung up fast while I was asking another question. I wouldn’t recommend this place for nothing…. ???????
Last time we come. Very rude staff. The lady decided to write us a check with a draw full of cash. Did not help at all. The guy working the small scale was horrible. Never again
