Frederick Johnson had me meet him at Bentleys Wholesale Used Cars at the edge of Hazel Green and Meridianville AL after I was told I needed more income at Auto Simple in Madison. I wasn't given the opportunity to test drive the vehicle or look it over good before he had me transferring money and signing papers. I desperately needed a dependable vehicle. After 2 attempts to get them to fix the multitude of issues with the vehicle, and the second time they had it 2 weeks, was told they would forgive $700 of my payments to take it to someone I trusted to get it fixed. I have had it back almost 3 weeks and have spent $480 in parts this far and $400 in labor and still need a catalytic converter and pay for labor to put that on too. I am extremely disappointed and upset. I am out not only $880 at this point in parts and labor but over $1700 in broker fee and down payment for this vehicle. I feel very taken advantage of. Fred and Alex pulled some shady crap here. I have had to put Cv axles, ball joints, ignition coils, spark plugs, and O2 sensors on this car. And they still expecting me to make payments on it in the midst of still having to have all this maintenance done, all while trying to make it back and forth to work and praying I don't get stranded somewhere. I have no other vehicle for transportation and they knew that. They can't answer calls or texts, voicemail box is always full. Yet they try to call when I am at work and not allowed to be on my phone.

RUN RUN. DO NOT buy from this place ever you are better off if you buy straight from a dealership company. They are rude people and crooked. In February 2023 I bought a 2011 Honda Accord I test-drove it out and everything. Love it! A week later I came back and bought it straight out. Before me buying the Honda asked the sales representative if there was anything wrong. He just insisted that I get an oil change. Two months later I came home and was about to run an errand and the car would not start completely. I towed my Honda to Prevision Automotive & Performance and let Tyler and his wonderful people get my car back running... Come to find out my car needs a Replace Engine Assembly & Raceway Used Engine-105k Miles. Together my vehicle cost me a total of $4,245.74. I called the sales representative that sold me my car and they gave me the run around about 2 days. I would never buy from here now more.
After I lost almost everything due to covid 19 last year I found 2 jobs and saved enough money to not have to walk or take buses to work. I went to Bentley Auto to get a car and put $1000 down on a SUV.
A day after I made my purchase I started having problems with with truck. The black guy with dreads that works there assured me that they'd make repairs. And 3 months later never did.
I put $800 into repairs only to find out that the transmission was out.
I went there to exchange vehicle's and none of those vehicle's worked properly.
I asked them.about helping me with the transmission, and they agreed to.help, BUT NEVER DID.
These guys USED TO BE OK, but they do not care what they sell you. They buy vehicles at auctions, and make their money back from down payments and sell you financing options for the banks.
I never got to drive the car, and they never kept their word.

I got a 02 Toyota Sequoia sr5 from them and had no problems at all besides normal wear and tear the customer service was better than most places I went before and I am getting another car from them soon. I always was treated friendly and without waiting long and no bulky paperwork to go through and for those who have bad credit or no credit they honestly have no problem accepting as long as you have the down payment and make payments as scheduled there is no worries about repossession they are a business and contracts are contracts after all. The payments are cheap and very reasonable and with all cars maintenance can be required to keep the vehicles in good running order even new cars can be faulty and don’t rely on others to pay for anything car parts are reasonable price and no wait time for buying them yourself be responsible for your own vehicles take care of them and they last forever!!!!
I bought a car last month. Didn't drive it for 2 weeks. Alternator went out. They picked it up and promised to give Us another one. Been going on 2 weeks they had it giving us the run around. Won't give money back or give us another car. Terrible place.
I bought a honda civic back last March .. I've been to 5 states in 6 months, put over 50,000 miles on my car during this time of travel.. Never had one issue! Friendly staff, reasonable payments. An they will work with you anyway they can! FYI: this is a used car dealership. Can't go purchase a car off of looks! Dont be Dumb.. give it hell while test driving with the radio turned off, if you feel there is an issue, bring it to their attention an pick another vehicle ... Then you shouldn't have a problem ?
Like any car business you look at and drive the vehicles thoroughly before you buy them, he is a wholesaler and has no way of knowing EVERY SINGLE PROBLEM, if he did and fixed everything he would probably charge twice as much, and as far as miles, it’s very hard with the way the ecomomy is to find cars used cheap with under 150k, if you do then count yourself lucky, mr Bentley is awesome as far as honesty and so is his team
Horrible business ... Just recently my daughter purchased a car from them. 9 months pregnant...2other small children. Car worked. TWO days!! Kept breaking down. She had the precious baby. Tried to work with the business...just to be stuck out there for HOURS..with a newborn!!! Further bad luck...her mother (me) got deathly sick... Spent almost 2 weeks in the hospital..that's right...she still had no transportation to be with me. Now today 5/18/18. I am back home thank God alive..but a complete invallid...needing total care...food..hygiene...diapers...can't move from the chest down.and right again STILL NO TRANSPORTATION ...I DON't consider this 'good customer service'. More.more like lack of total human decency!! I added them to my prayer list to forgive them..karma sucks..and God certainly ly does like ugly
Bought a car from them...drove it 2 days before it broke down. Got it fixed....another couple days went by...alternator went out...not operational again. Bentley refused to give us our money back and left us without a vehicle. Horrible way to do business.
Bad Sales people Never give out notices about anything just take your vehicle and try to double the amount to get your car back and hit you for that months pay and each hold is 200.00 each time plus payment SMFH
Just like any used car dealer you just have to be careful when picking out a car. They tend to have higher mileage cars but if the car has been well taken care of then cars these days are made to last longer than ever. It would be a great idea if you aren't mechanicly gifted to take any car that you are interested in to a shop and have it looked at. Just use your best judgment and if you find any problems see if they are willing to make any necessary repairs. If not then I would move on to another vehicle.
