Stayed here for easy access to the National Park. The setting of the resort is scenic, but the walls in the cabin were paper thin, and we heard the people next to us all night. The wifi in the restaurant is nonexistent. The food in the restaurant was good, and the historic hunting lodge was fun to tour. If I did this over, would stay somewhere else, but visit the hunting lodge.

Pahaska Cabins are touristic traps after all, they are lokated directly at the Highway to Yellowstone park, noisy of course. Tourist Shop is recommendable though. Dont trust activities offered!!!! They are all third parties offers, no connection or responsibilty of the hotel recepion at all!! Horse Riding e.g.....some guy that is NOT familiar with the reception at all...they offer all these activities without doing any thing of cooparation! Tourist trap with a nice and huge souvenier Shop, that's the place, Cabins are fine and nice, view : car park and Highway of You like that

There is absolutely no mobile service and no Wi-Fi in the rooms. They handed us a map with a notice saying Wi-Fi is only available at the gift shop and restaurant - and that guests should "not download big packages since it brings down the internet for everyone else." Did they ever hear about Starlink, for example? Even with those restrictions, the Wi-Fi didn't work: in the morning we were connected with a strong signal, but there was no actual internet access. It was useless - even sending a simple text on Teams or WhatsApp failed. What a disgrace! The rooms are not soundproof at all. You can hear your neighbors' quiet conversations word for word, plus every single footstep and door opening or closing echoes right through the walls. Forget about privacy or rest. We stayed in September and didn’t need AC, but at least the heater worked. That was literally the only thing without problems. This is the kind of place where management shamelessly exploits the hotel’s location to overcharge guests for miserable service and outdated, noisy cabins. My advice: avoid the frustration - book a hotel in Cody instead.

The good: location, location, location, 2 miles from the east entrance and the buffalo meatloaf at the restaurant. The bad, price, no amenaties, limited staff.

On our first morning, the staff told us that if we ordered to go, it would only take 10–15 minutes, while dining in would take 20–25 minutes. We chose to go, but we still ended up waiting for about 30 minutes for our food. When we got our food, it was pouring rain outside. I asked if we could sit inside to eat since the rain was so heavy but the staff refused, saying that because we had ordered to go, we could not sit down. That was already disappointing. The next morning was even worse. I ordered the 2 eggs over easy with bacon, fries, and a biscuit — exactly what is listed as a combo on their menu for $13.99. Instead of giving me the combo price, they charged each item separately. Because we ordered two, the total came out to almost $50, even though it should around $28. When I pointed out the mistake, the waiter called manager, the manager was extremely rude. I showed that my order matched the combo exactly, but they refused to fix the bill or refund the difference. Even worse, she just took my food away and just let me leave. This is completely unacceptable. Because they are in Yellowstone park where dining options are very limited. They clearly took advantage of the fact that my friend doesn’t speak English and their attitude was hostile when we tried to resolve the issue. We couldn’t even find local police or any authority nearby to handle it, which made the situation even more frustrating. This behavior feels dishonest, exploitative, and unprofessional. Customers should not be overcharged for a listed combo, refused basic courtesy when it’s raining, or have their food taken away after paying.

Very nice staff and good restaurant. Horribly noisy cabins. The cabins with the adjoining doors (most of them have these) have no sound proofing. You can hear your neighbor speak at even low volumes. It’s like they’re in the same room. Upon complaining, I was told that all of their cabins are similarly noisy. Also, their front desk closes before quiet hours even start. So if you have an issue with noise you’re out of luck. To management- you should not rent these cabins out to multiple parties. Even normal volume can be clearly heard between cabins. If you do rent them to multiple parties, you should have prominent disclaimers that you will hear everything your neighbor does.

Would not give them a star at all except had to. The room supposedly had a queen and twin bed. The queen was actually a double bed. The room smelled of raw sewage and mold. The floor felt as if it were falling in front of the bathroom. There was no air or heat. No WiFi and no TV. We did not get any sleep due to the smell and being cold. When I checked out and told the gentleman, his only response was that had never happened before. For the price we paid for this room he should have been more accommodating. The only thing good about this place was that the restaurant food was very good, but pricey. Would not recommend stopping there unless you want a pricey meal

Mixed review. I booked the 3-bedroom suite, with 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds, perfect for a family. The suite is located on the upper floor of a cabin. On the ground floor there are 4 bedrooms, which can be noisy. For the price, the room could offer better amenities. I'm not talking about TV or internet, since it was clearly explained that there wasn't one. However, the bedding and shower stall could be upgraded. The rustic and quiet side of the place is great, and the location, 5 minutes from the Yellowstone entrance, is perfect. Plus, the restaurant really elevates the experience. Overall I recommend but don't expect a modern cabin, enjoy the nature around!

I don't leave reviews very often, but for those who think this place is good at all you're not honest or ar leaving management reviews or something. Although they don't advertise all the things they don't have, I'll name a few:||WIFI at the cabin|Air circulation at all|Outlets in Bathroom|Hair Dryer--which I don't use|TV (OK I get it)|Microwave |Refrige|Towels/ wash cloths|I'm sure I left something out. ||Cabin is really a sleeping room---big enough for a small bed. No sitting area outside, but on your neighbors porch. 4 or five units per A Frame cabin. Some may have 2 units, so I guess they modified them to 4 or 5 units to rent. ||If you don't mind paying $250 a night and being miserable--this place is for you.||If you travel to see gift shops---OK this place is for you.||Was so tired and miserable the next day we left...wasn't going to give them any restaurant $$$$||Drive to Cody...the drive is worth it and the choices start at 1/2 this dump.|||Dave---still pissed.

My recent dining experience at Pahaska Teepee on August 10th was a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, the service was absolutely impeccable. Our server was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable, making us feel well-cared for from the moment we sat down. Unfortunately, the food itself didn't live up to the high standard set by the staff. My biggest disappointment was with the steak—it was significantly overcooked, dry, and lacked the flavor I was expecting. The portion sizes for all our dishes were also noticeably small, which left us feeling underwhelmed. To make matters worse, I was shocked to find a black hair in my mashed potatoes. This was a definite turn-off and soured the rest of the meal for me. While I can't say enough good things about the staff and the beautiful setting, the kitchen really missed the mark. I hope this was just an off night for them because the potential is certainly there.

Didn't stay at the resort, just ate lunch in the restaurant. The burger was good, but the french fries were fantastic! The atmosphere was very authentic and the service was great.

I LOVED the food but this lady pressured me to buy a poncho for 150$, and was suspicious of me trying to steal a massive poncho. I mean come on how could I even do that? Then she was pissed off when I decided not to give her a huge commission. Everything was great except the old lady with the bad haircut.

We stayed in the A frame cabin that was divided into 4 rooms . It was basically a 8x10 storage shed with a bed in it you could barely walk around with NO AC or even so much as a fan … aside from the room being terrible the only good quality is the location .. You won’t be getting any sleep though so you might as well stay in Cody in a normal hotel and drive the extra hour the next day to get to Yellowstone .

We didn't stay the night here, but our truck broke down just inside Yellowstone and we made it to Pahaska to wait for a tow. Everyone was so friendly and checked on us since we had to wait a few hours for the tow. The food was amazing! I had a burger with blue cheese and I think my hubby had the buffalo bill burger and my kiddos ate off the kids menu. Prices were good and the food was even better! And the gift shop was so cute, I may have gone a little crazy in how many souvenirs I bought. But it was a beautiful place to be, with super friendly people.

I get what they are doing there. They are the very first thing you see outside the East Entrance of Yellowstone and they are designed to take full advantage of that. The tiny room is nothing more that a sleep chamber with no refrigerator, no television, no WiFi unless your room is close to the cheesy gift shop and bar. They have the worst pillows I have ever seen, and there were no bath mats on a slippery linoleum bathroom floor. By the time they added the fee for my dog that there was no room for, it was nearly $300 after tax, for 1 night. They could buy the equipment for WiFi all over the property for what they get for a room for 1 night. For 2 nights stay they could have it professionally installed. We would have had similar amenities had we slept in our truck in a turnout in the park. I hope I have effectively expressed my displeasure.

Very disappointing. The location is amazing. The little cabins are amazing on the outside but the rest is very disappointing. First there is no Wifi in your cabin. You can only get wifi at the restaurant. Also we had no body wash in the container, nor did we have toilet paper. After calling the front desk they did provide these. Also there is no cold water unless you let the water run for a long time. The showers however were nice and hot and the bed was comfortable. The people were nice. Overall it was disappointing that such a great location would under perform. I will sadly not be going back. Also please know they will charge you a pet fee even if your dogs stay in your vehicle.

We stayed here while making day excursions into ya Yellowstone Park. You literally can’t get any closer to the east entrance than Pahaska. A lot of the places charge by the week, so it’s nice to stay here for just a few days. as everyone has said, the cabins are rustic, but as long as you know that going in, you are not surprised. Our only complaint was that when we walked in to our upstairs cabin, it was extremely hot. But once we asked for a couple of fans, and turned on the back bedroom air conditioner and pulled the air through, it was perfectly fine. The food in the restaurant is great, and the service couldn’t be better. Ryan was usually our waiter, and he was so kind, especially to our one and a half year-old grandson. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. It’s also full of history of Buffalo Bill Cody. The accommodations match the setting. You are in remote mountains!

Be warned!!! This place is in bear country. While we were checking out, we actually had 2 grizzlies run up the hill right behind our cabin while we were loading up. There is no cell service here either, only slow WiFi at the gift shop. Also note, there is no AC in the rooms, which get quite hot during the day. 2 windows would open, but the screens were not secured well. Due to being in bear country, we did not feel safe opening the windows to cool down at night, so slept very hot. Also only had 1 serviceable pillow on our bed, with the second being pancake flat with a sandpaper pillowcase. The walls were also incredibly thin, so you could hear everything going on in the room next to you. Would recommend staying in Cody for lodging, were there is cell service and more to do while only adding 1 hour onto a trip into Yellowstone. On a positive note, the gift shop is DELIGHTFUL and I found all of the staff to be very friendly. The to-go coffee in the restaurant was also very good.

Absolutely perfect!! The best location to East Entrance. Our cabin was extremely clean. The staff was all super friendly. The view was gorgeous. The dinner salad, coffee, latte, and breakfast we ate at the restaurant were all very good. The kitchen in our cabin (#5) was well stocked with pans and utensils as well. Thank you for a wonderful stay near Yellowstone!

Pahaska - overall a great stay!! Super convenient to one of the Yellowstone entrances. We rented cabin number 1 and I was afraid it would be too close to the restaurant ( thinking about noise) but it turned out to be fine. This cabin had a huge entryway/living room. Almost wasted space, but better to have too much than not enough! Bedroom was ample and bathroom was very large. Also a huge porch on the cabin. They have an on-site grocery store which I did not personally see - only my boyfriend went inside. But he was able to buy candles for my birthday so it must have been stocked pretty well with necessities if they even had candles available. Also an on-site bar and gift shop. The restaurant was pretty solid - probably slightly better than I was expecting. Overall we loved out stay! I was able to get wifi with my verizon phone (only at or near the restaurant if I'm not mistaken?) but my boyfriend (who I believe has T-Mobile) couldn't get anything. So keep that in mind as you travel.

If you plan on being totally off the grid with no Wi-Fi or calling abilities, while also being able to shop at the gift shop and eat at the restaurant, then this place is for you. Location is beautiful with a view of the lake back into Yellowstone and only about 45 minutes to Fishing Bridge.

If I could rate this a 0, I would. Literally just drive to West Yellowstone, if I could time travel into the past and change anything, I WOULD CHANGE MY CHOICE TO STAY HERE!! There was one good thing, and that was the food and being close to Yellowstone, everything else, horrific. When we arrived to our room, the entrance to the tepee and room had the loudest, most creaky doors ever, they would slam with even a little bit of force and the floor was creaky too. The door to the room was just a regular lock, so if the bears that they warned us about actually came, we would be mauled to pieces in 5 seconds flat. When we actually entered the room, it was so unbelievably hot, the radiator was on full blast, and even after turning it off it was still pretty hot and there was no AC unit. The bathroom was an absolute inferno, even after turning off the radiator, and the shower did not work, so I had to take a bath, if you could even call it that, since the stream of water was so skinny that it could barely fill 1/8 of the tub and I had to roll around in the tub ti even bathe myself. When attempting to use the sink, you are greeted with water from hell, so hot that I almost thought the water became cold when in reality it was just THAT hot. The closest you can get to a comfortable temperature in the room is by opening all of your windows, which were also unreasonably difficult to figure out and anyone from the outside could easily open it and get inside if they wanted to. If that sounds bad, it gets even worse if you can believe that. The walls of the Tepee are paper thin and you can hear every single one of your neighbors movements and speech, as well as the obnoxiously loud doors slamming. There is no WiFi, don’t even bother with the WiFi in the main lodge, I could only send out one singular email to let our family know we weren’t dead. Of course with this already hellish experience, we were cursed with neighbors who decided they are entitled to make a ruckus and do whatever they want, including speaking extremely loudly, slamming the doors shut, and overall making a ruckus, which the paper thin walls did not help with at all. The beds are not comfortable and the room is overall cramped. Upon checking out from this hell hole, the person checking us out didn’t even ask how our stay was, so she probably knew that this place is horrible and didn’t even want to bother hearing our complaints. This is the worst place I’ve ever stayed at hands down, only stay here if it is your ONLY option, other than that, stay FAR away. Do not trust these reviews.

I visited in Sept. 2023 for 3 nights and I can’t say enough about how hospitable everyone was. We were able to access the park quickly and easily each day. The cabins are rustic and charming. The restaurant and gift shop in the lodge were fun to explore and the food was very good. I’m wishing I was back there right now! And yes the buffalo was grazing next to the driveway one afternoon!

Pahaska Tepee: A Hidden Gem Near Yellowstone On our way out of Yellowstone National Park one crisp fall morning, we came across Pahaska Tepee, a strikingly beautiful building just off the road. Drawn in by its charming exterior and the promise of breakfast, we expected the typical overpriced meal you often find near such popular destinations. But from the moment we stepped inside, the experience far exceeded our expectations. The dining room is something straight out of a storybook—rustic and warm, complete with a wood-burning fireplace that was crackling away, providing the perfect cozy atmosphere for the chilly morning. The inviting ambiance was matched by the scenic views right outside the windows, offering a serene start to the day. What truly surprised us was the price of breakfast. Despite its prime location and beautiful setting, the cost was no more—and possibly even less—than what we would pay back home in Minnesota. The food itself was excellent, cooked to perfection, and served with a genuine smile. The service was quick and friendly, giving the whole experience a laid-back, welcoming vibe that’s hard to find at most tourist stops. After our meal, we wandered through the gift shop, which was filled with unique items, making it a great place to pick up a few mementos. While we didn’t stay overnight, we noticed they offer lodging. Though we didn't get to experience it firsthand as we were Traveling in our Mini-T Campervan and Camping in the Yellowstone National Park however the location is undoubtedly perfect if your are looking for lodging, nestled in natural beauty just outside the park. If you're traveling through this area, stopping at Pahaska Tepee is a must—not just for the food but for the overall experience. It's one of those rare finds where great service, reasonable prices, and a magical atmosphere come together perfectly.

I like staying in historic places and we needed a place close to Yellowstone, so Pahaska suited our needs. We had a duplex cabin with a king bed. It was very comfortable. My only complaint is that we could easily hear the people on the other side. Fortunately, they were quiet. I really enjoyed being near the park entrance and away from the tourist scene in Cody. The restaurant and gift shop were good, the coffee shop not so much. Guests receive a free bag of ice for each night they stay. ||Be sure to get gas in Cody. Pahaska no longer sells gas and it’s expensive in the park.

Sadly, this one great resort located right outside of the East Entrance is no longer a place to stop. I hesitate to eat here. This place is in decline, disgusting, and dirty. From the hunting lodge of Buffalo Bill, filled with great memories to the A-Frame cabins it's unkept and falling apart. ||Our A-Frame was infested with yes Infested with mice! Yikes! We had to abandon our A-Frame cabin at 11 pm the mice had taken over our room. There was no afterhours office staff. We had no one to call for help or to change rooms. We were stuck ether live in a room with mice running everywhere, sleep in our van, or drive in the dark an hour to the next town. This is not what any family with kids needs to be faced deciding. ||I do not recommend staying here. It is off the grid no cell phone, internet or TV. That wasn't so bad for my family. But being so isolated without anyone manning the office after 9:30 pm, if you have an emergency there is no one to contact. The next town is 45 minutes away. A lodge with no cell service, and no afterhours contacts. The crazy part is it has a full staff living on site. At night you see young people hanging out around the cabins. It felt more like a work camp then a family vacation.||I do feel sad for this place, the gentleman who gives you a tour of Buffalo Bill lodge is great at telling you the history of the lodge. The lodge itself is just not maintain properly it is in decay. I pray that someone invest money into this once great resort brings it back to a great place to stay.

Nice staff! We asked for more pillows & they brought more pillows to the room. There is NO wifi in the rooms or outside the main office. There is No TV in the room or a fan. If you’re okay with being off “the grid”, this is a nice retreat to do so. Deer right outside the cabin one eve. One thing I highly recommend they update is their coffee makers or give a voucher for their restaurant for coffee. They tried giving me extra pods for it & that did not make a difference.

Nice spot for Yellowstone, easy access to one of the smoothest park entrances. Beware of bears. Only one cabin allows for cooking and trash is not well protected inside the cabins at all. Good bedding. The only cabin with a kitchen was bigger than the photos show. Not the case for any of the others. Heard direct complaint regarding the power of the showers — very hard and harmful. Nice shop and general store on site, plus a restaurant. Wifi very poor and inexistant beyond 90 feet from the main lodge (front desk). No cell data connexion. No standard phone connexion either. If a problem arises passed 9:30pm, front desk says to call 911. So, in short, convenient spot to avoid crowds but dangerous.

Tiny cabin, poorly lit, no parking next to your cabin if you aren’t the first to arrive. Thin walls. Bad food and very long wait in restaurant. Only three other tables of diners when we waited 20 minutes for service and then received over cooked food that was less than ok. Waited another 15 minutes for the waiters only to send it back and not eat. Rooms were small, hot with no AC and screen over the latches to open the one window you have. Left an hour and a half after check in and drove home. We just brought the keys back in and left we didn’t ask for refund knowing the policy and just wanting to go. Might be fine if you bring your own food and want to experience a 1950’s type stay with zero amenities. Our room smelt musty and tiny. Not for us, but others might think it’s ok. After a day in the park and being exhausted and hungry it was a huge let down. Nevertheless we should have done our research and stayed in a place more suitable to our liking.

The staff is very nice and the room was clean. The coffee in the room was much appreciated. I am giving it 4 stars only because we could constantly hear others talk and snore all night, which made our stay not that pleasant. The restaurant offers delicious food and great service. Be prepared to be completely off the grid, as the wifi does not work and there is no phone signal in the area. A special thank you to the chef and staff of the restaurant, their food is out of this world and so delicious, their burger is the best I have had in the US so far ! Thank you !
