My husband went to advanced auto for a battery change. The tech broke the windshield during the procedure. Because the car is a BMW, there is no where locally or in Billings that can replace this specialty windshield. A quote for a new windshield was submitted months ago with no response or follow up from the manager. I understand these things can happen, but they should also take responsibility and pay for it.
They notified me my parts were ready, got to the store and they hadn't even looked at the order yet. After 20 minutes of the clerk looking at stock, I was told neither of the things I ordered were in stock. Then they told me they didn't know how to cancel the order. Not shopping here anymore since this isn't the first time this has happened to me at this particular store. Wasted my time.
Big shout out to Gunner in the Cody store. In the middle of a horrible cold snap. Gunner installed my car battery with no problem and very quickly after another local store said it was too cold for them to install it. Gunner was more than happy to help me out!!! Great service!
Worst customer service of any Advanced parts store I've been in. First time parts guy was more interested in visiting his buddies and I was inconveniencing him. Second time totally ignored at parts counter, wound up walking out. Pretty sad.
Drove from Powell to Cody on a Sunday for a specific part. The internet said it was not in store but when I called the associate assured me they would have it on the counter. When i got there it was the wrong part and they do not even carry the part i need in store. They were unable to give me a price on a wheel bearing for another vehicle as well.
Ignored when we walked in— we were the only customers. Ignored when we went to the counter. 2 nd person at least tried. Then asked first person “Carquest is an OEM store. We don’t carry things for carborated vehicles “. WOW. It’s fuel injected. Lovell CQ figured it out over the phone in 30 seconds. What a worthless store in Cody

We stopped at Carquest a little before 8 (new hours are great!) Last night. Vikki sold me some Windshield wipers. She took time to extol the virtues of the different grades of wiper, checked a current shipment (out of stock on the shelf) retrieved them from the new delivery, and sold them to me at a very good price. 100% service and great personality.
About an hour later while eating out, I realized my wallet was missing. We had done a few other things before dinner and we retraced our steps. No wallet....
Carquest was closed but I left a business card and a note in the front door.
This morning, before opening time, Vikki called. "I hev your wallet in our safe waiting for you!"
A simple purchase with great service and honesty/character. I highly recommend Cody Carquest. They are good people!
I use the CarQuest parts store whenever I can. They’re knowledgeable and helpful. Andi goes out of her way whenever I need a part. Went in for fuel filters for my 6.0 today, got the car quest brand which were over twice the price. I went back inside and they found me the Motorcraft filters and they were cheaper than the corporate store in town. They honored my 20% off from their app as well. Andi and Michael exhibited excellent customer service, the rest of the employees are top-shelf as well. Can’t say enough about the people that work in this shop. I don’t know the owner, but you should be pleased because you have some good people in there and you should hold on to them. See you all next time, which knowing my trucks, will be sooner than later.
The absolute worst parts store I've been in f oror30 years. 4 people staring at computer screens that do not acknowledge walk in customers. Total waste of my time to shop here.i will go somewhere else.
Great parts great prices great people Could not ask for a better place to get my auto parts from always had my parts on hand or could order them the next day always had the right parts that I needed.
