Rip off! All recyclers are paying $6 / lb for clean copper, they paid $2.30 and said too bad! Can’t get your stuff back after the fact to take it to an honest place either!
The guys there are so friendly and so helpful they'll help you unload they'll tell you if your stuff is worth more than what you thought it's the best place I have ever gone for recycling
Depending on who is working they'll tell you stripped copper wire is #2 if the diameter is too small. Will tell you #1 is #2 if its not shiny enough, but says bare bright is the same as #1. Says yellow brass has a "reddish tint" in their dimly lit area.....I ordered the original bars from the supplier, i have the certs and know exactly what it is! If you get Ryan (skinny guy with glasses, often smoking a cigarette)as the person helping you, you WILL get ripped off.
This place is an absolute joke and. Rip-off! Try to tell you number 1 is number 2 then pay a dollar a pound less than everywhere else . Then call bare bright the same as number 1. Joke and pathetic!
They cheat you on your scrap they gave me 1 cent for my stainless steel that was 940 lbs and they didn't tell me til after I dumped it and they did a payout what a rip off. It goes from 28 cents to 35 cents a pound
