We stay at Lake Lawn several times a year as a quick get away. Lake Lawn is a beautiful location right on the lake and definitely gives us the old world lodge feel. The staff is fantastic and highly recommend The Lookout bar for drinks and food. Very nice fitness center also. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

Details are lacking. Rooms have the very basics. Not enough creamer or sugar . China mugs are nice but no way to clean and dry them unless you use the towels. No room refresh for 2 night stay. Bare minimum of bathroom items. No Qtips, cotton rounds. make up remover wipes. Very basic. Spa is nice but the spa front desk staff are more intereste din their phones and are not professionally dressed at all. Beware the 20% gratuity for the SPA.

I absolutely love this resort, however I hope you never have to deal with Sandra at the front desk. Definitely worth the price and I highly recommend bringing your family out in the summer ! There is so many different activities and spaces to enjoy yourself. 10/10

Even in the winter it was a great place to stay! The views from the restaurants of the lake were pretty in the snow. The food and drinks were delicious. The lice music was entertaining. We will definitely be back!

The hotel is showing it's age. 1980s decor. The king bed, laying on concrete would be softer.stains on the sheets. Then when we checked out they padded the bill. I had a $36 restaurant charge. However billed me $50. The same happened at the Spa. BEWARE of this resorts unethical practices

The New Years Family Glow Party was a complete disappointment!! Food was sub-par. The party room was WAY too small. Not nearly enough seating and the room temperature was sweltering!! We were forced to ring in the New Year in our room We will not be interested in any future New Years packages.

Updated review! Another winter staycation with the family. We booked three rooms in the Norwood wing. One was a loft with two queens down and two twins up stairs. Both levels had full bathrooms. Since we were last there, there has been major remodeling. The place looks just lovely. The first thing I noticed was the new carpet! Since it was winter, we spent a lot of time at the resort. We used the pool and the hot tub. We had snacks at the Capri Grill, a small carryout place. Sunday brunch was at 1878 restaurant overlooking the lake. Lake lawn was extremely crowded with lots and lots of families. But it didn’t seem overwhelming at any point. Staff works very hard to make everybody happy. The regular hotel rooms have large sitting areas. Which was perfect for watching the football game. Mine overlooked the lake. Beautiful site! I’m glad we chose Lake lawn for our family staycation.

I hate to complain but I was not satisfied with the overall experience at Lake Lawn. It’s a beautiful location, however there are some things I wish were different. First of all, I understand that Lake Lawn is family friendly, but it feels that kids overrun the place. The pool area was packed and no one said anything about whipping balls, rough play or the unsupervised kids in the hot tub. It really makes it feel like you’re at chucky cheese if I’m being honest. I wish they did an adult swim hour. There is no one to ask questions as the staff makes themselves scarce. Also, it was frustrating that the tvs only offer Netflix as a streaming option.

We did not stay at the resort, so I can not speak to that. However, we visited for the The Tribute to the Era’s Tour concert. It was awesome and my daughter had a great time. The main lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas too. We had a blast!!

I used to love lake lawn and then they remodeled it. The resort got rid of the fireplaces in the rooms (Best part), up charged everything because of it and now the rooms look empty and the resort lost that nostalgic feeling. ):

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING YOUR VERY EXPENSIVE ROOM. This place does not even offer the bare minimum of what a resort should have. My husband rented a king-bed room for us for 7 nights because he is here for a business trip and was recommended to come here and this was a waste of $1,100. He requested a lake view and we only got a view of the trees. The room decoration was sub-par, nothing special at all. The walls are PAPER THIN. You can hear footsteps, actual conversations, and yes, people being intimate. For people who come here pretending to be classy, they are obnoxiously loud especially late at night and ignoring their other neighbors and resort quiet hours (12am - 6am). Free basic breakfast is not included. Since we came here during the winter, the Isle of Capri cafe that has Starbucks, is only open from Friday-Sunday. The other restaurants are open from 4 PM every day. This place is overall a huge inconvenience. We searched for other hotels and it's amazing how Comfort Suites has free breakfast, many more amenities like a bigger fridge, iron board with an iron, better coffee machine, vending machines of food, drinks, snacks (WAYYY more than what Lake Lawn offers). For anyone considering to come to visit, do not come to Lake Lawn Resort just for the clout. Be smart with your money and sense of peace and find another hotel that will actually offer a lot for half the price. Yes Comfort Suites does not have the view but that's honestly fine because we go out to experience the outside regardless.

A true hidden gem just moments from Lake Geneva quiet to enjoy a peaceful getaway plenty of things to do between restaurants, a little bar and Grill, the pool and of course the golf resort can’t go wrong there. Will enjoy staying there anytime I visit the area again.

This was the second time I was invited to a wedding at this resort. The first one was in January 2022 and because it was forecasted to be cold, my husband and I decided to get a room even though we literally live 5 minutes away. The room was given to us at the posted rate for the rest of the rooms reserved for the wedding so cost wasn't the issue. What was an issue though was that our room was several lodges away from the rest of the wedding party, and in order for us to get to the reception room, we had to exit and re enter the resort several times and then be taken through the banquet kitchen in order to reach the ballroom with the use of the wheelchair I was in that night. Then during the reception, everyone else at our table got dinner except me and my husband, and once they were nearly done, servers started appearing asking about dessert. That was the only time we weres asked and my reply was that we would like our dinner first rather than dessert. We was brought cold, dried out food which was inedible. Getting back to our room required navigation of 3 staircases with a wheelchair and eventually just being lifted in the chair down steps by 4 strong men who left the reception early. When we got ready to check out the next morning there was nearly a foot of snow which hadn't been plowed yet by hotel staff and guests were shoveling their way out to cars. So that experience was pretty bad. The actual wedding ceremony and reception was wonderful and my niece and her new husband were happy as clams. However, the resort left lots to be desired. Fast forward to today Nov. 7, 2025 and my nephew and his fiancee were scheduled to be married there this evening at 5:30. Because of our prior experience, I decided to call on Wednesday 2 full days before the wedding to find out what room the celebration was in and where I could park that wouldn't involve going up and down steps since I can't do that. I called and got a very helpful employee on the phone. I explained that due to my limited mobility I could NOT do staircases and needed to know where the room was and how to avoid stairs to get there. I gave her the last names of the wedding party, and she found the booking within 30 seconds and then told me which ballroom it was in. I asked again how to get there to avoid steps, she stated that there was a walk in entrance off of a driveway that I could use to drop off and that they could also shuttle us over there and back to our car in golf carts if we wanted. I advised my husband didn't drive, so I wanted to park as close as possible due to my mobility. She said that while we were at the wedding we were their guests and that we would just need to ask at the front desk for specific directions to the room and driveway when we got there Friday evening. So when we got there tonight, my husband went inside to the front desk to confirm on which room we were looking for and to ask for some directions to this driveway to get as close as possible to the entrance. He returned about 5 minutes later as I was waiting in the car for him only to tell me that when he asked for directions to the room and about the driveway, not 1 but 2 employees could find a record of the wedding being scheduled at this resort. One employee even asked my husband if he had the correct resort! We know it was this resort since not even 48 hours earlier another employee easily found the reservation booking. So, with no directions to give to us, we left and did not go since we were told tonight there was no wedding under those names scheduled here. I am mailing our gift this weekend to my nephew and his bride. This resort needs better management, employee communication, and to get a CLUE about how to treat guests! My guess is the wonderful employee I spoke to on Wednesday was an anomaly because every other encounter we've had there on 2 separate occasions was just dismal. My recommendation if you're looking for a wedding venue, try another resort. I will never go back.

Very nice place to relax. Wow, the grounds were beautifully decorated for fall and Halloween. Staff were cordial and friendly. Food at the various restaurants was delicious and plentiful. This is a family oriented resort so there were lots of kids. We enjoyed our stay.

I was at a wedding at Lake Lawn Resort this past weekend. The property and ceremony were beautiful, and the rooms were nice The bartender working the open bar completely ruined the experience. He was rude, short, and acted like he didn’t want to be there. I work in the wedding industry, and customer service is everything. There’s no excuse for treating PAYING wedding guests like that. My friends paid a lot of money not only to have their wedding at this venue, but to have an open bar for their guests. He didn’t have to be outgoing, but being flat-out unpleasant is unacceptable. Breakfast at 1878 the next morning was disappointing, especially the biscuits. These were some of the worst biscuits I’ve ever had. The server Giuseppe was awesome and very accommodating!

My husband and I were there for our anniversary. It was nice, and the grounds were beautiful. Rooms were nice and clean and the Outlook bar had great food.

We were in town for a convention. It was a great place to stay. I felt like I had my own little condo! We did the boat around the lake. I am glad we did. It was relaxing. The staff had great personalities, the drinks were good! The speaker sharing the history as we strolled along was fantastic!

We stayed in a lodges king suite in the shorewood east building for my boyfriend’s birthday. This was the first time we reserved a suite and It was a wonderful room with a cooktop, dishes, pots and pans and a fireplace! We will request this type of room from now on! The patio had a beautiful view of the lake and the pool with 2 rocking chairs. Everything was clean and in good working order. It took a while to figure out the light switches for the sitting area lights! The shower, although quite small, had a fancy setup with numerous adjustable shower heads. You can shower without getting your hair wet, which I enjoyed! If you are tall, you will not fit in the shower. Thankfully the tub also had a shower head for his use! We stayed there in late September. The weather was gorgeous and the outdoor pools were still open. Another wonderful surprise!|We have eaten at the onsite restaurants before. The menu at the lookout bar seemed to have changed from the year before. It was still very good, but seemed to have more casual options for dinner than on our previous visit. I heard they got a new chef for the 1878 restaurant, but we did not eat there as we were not impressed the previous year. We went offsite for 2 of our meals. I would highly recommend the waterfront grill on the other side of lake delevan. It is a casual restaurant and service and food were excellent!|There was an outdoor wedding while we were there that looked gorgeous! We enjoyed listening to the wedding music while sitting by the firepit. A few wedding guests took a break by the firepit and had only positive things to say about the venue for a wedding.

Beautiful place! Room was clean and had a great view. Very bizarre that they give out wrist bands to the pool like an 80’s theme park. Front desk was rude when asked for a late check out.

We wanted to give the biggest shout out to the staff at lake lawn! Jessie did amazing helping us with our wedding block. Debbie was great to communicate with for our rehearsal dinner and goodbye breakfast. Also a HUGE shoutout to the front desk. They were our right hand man for so much and we are so grateful for their help!

Our family chose Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan for a special occasion, expecting a beautiful and safe venue. Unfortunately, our experience left us extremely disappointed—and concerned. We were assured that our personal items would be safe in their designated holding room during the wedding ceremony. However, someone went through our belongings and stole cash money out of my purse. When we reported this, we were told after a through investigation that only employees had access to the room, supposedly just to remove trash. That explanation only made the situation more troubling. To make matters worse, the General Manager never returned our calls, and the staff showed little concern or urgency about the situation. We felt dismissed and ignored during what should have been a joyful and memorable time. If you’re considering this resort for your wedding or special event, you may want to seriously rethink that decision. Security and customer service are critical—especially when you're entrusting a venue with your most personal moments—and unfortunately, Lake Lawn Resort failed us on both.

Was at Lake Lawn for a retreat. Beautiful facility and rooms. We arrived mid afternoon and they had a complimentary wine and cheese happy hour late afternoon and it was way more than cheese and crackers. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a brunch with our event and it was amazing and very tasty. The brazed short ribs especially. Enjoyed a fire down by the lake that night. We were in a suite and I enjoyed the jacuzzi in the bathroom along with the shampoos and conditioner in the shower. They had the makeup magnifying mirrors that pulled out and lit up too. So many cute corners and areas to have weddings and cozy gatherings. I would definitely come again.

Overall experience was great. Only thing I have to mention is the spider problem. Our outside chairs were covered in webs but the service was able to clean it all out. Problem is that the spiders came back and covered everything in webs just an few moments later...

I stayed here because I was attending a wedding that was on site. Due to having to travel some distance, I requested an early check in (2:00 pm) so we could freshen up & change into our outfits for the wedding. I was told no, they don't do that & I'd have to call back the day I was to check in to "see if they had a room available to check in early". I explained that I would be traveling that day and wasn't sure I could call in. That didn't matter, they would not allow an early check in (only 2 hours prior to normal check in time of 4:00 pm). The 4 pm check in time was during the wedding ceremony so that was not a possibility. Thankfully I was able to call the morning of check in and was told "oh sure, you can check in anytime today"! Seriously, why the runaround? The room itself was nothing special, it was clean. The in-room refrigerator did not work (we picked up items to put in the refrigerator, needed to use a cooler), the door to the room was a bit out of alignment, so shutting it securely took a bit. Upon check out, I brought this to their attention, all that was done was an "oh I'm sorry". Over all facility was ok, nothing special, especially for the prices they charge. The pattern on the carpet in some of the halls was so worn, you couldn't see the pattern, it was bare spots & it could have used a good cleaning. Save yourself some money, stay elsewhere in Delevan &Uber to Lake Lawn if you need to attend anything there.

At Lake Lawn we stayed in a 2 Full Bathroom Lodges King Loft Suite. We enjoy a nice room and this Suite did not disappoint!! Complete with every little convenience you could desire. Our room had been remodeled and was bright and clean and inviting. Sitting out by the Look Out Bar under an umbrella on a beautiful day looking out onto the outdoor pool and then onto Lake Delavan was very relaxing and peaceful. I felt our room was very clean. I also found our Shorewood Lodge location great as it was in the building with the indoor pool and very short walk to the outdoor pool and Look Out Bar. I just felt that the walk from parking the car into the building and down the hall to our room at the farthest end of the hallway wasn't bad at all. I felt that the staff were all friendly we interacted with and although we needed this time to just relax we did check out the indoor pool and the spa which we hope we could take advantage of the next time we return. Lake Lawn was easily accessible from I-90 to 43 and about 20 minutes to downtown Lake Geneva. Lake Lawn has really kept up with the times, while also maintaining a great customer friendly staff. We asked for our suite to have FULL LAKE VIEW and it was great sitting out on our balcony in our rockers watching the fisherman in their boats on a beautiful blue sky day. You will enjoy your stay!!!!!

We were disappointed in this well-known resort where my husband’s family used to vacation regularly. First, all of the front desk staff appeared to be trainees who weren’t quite sure what they were doing. We had paid extra for a room in the Lakeside Lodge which advertises “spectacular views” from its rooms. Well – most of our view was of a grassy hill; if we went 10 feet out from our cobweb-filled patio, we could just catch a glimpse of the lake. When we complained, we were told that they could move us to another room with a better view, but that it would cost us $70/night more. We pointed out that we had already paid extra for a room with a view, and after calling in another staff member (who was quick to tell us she wasn’t a manager), we got another room without paying extra, but it took about 40 minutes as we waited and waited for the staff to discuss this – behind closed doors. The new room was quite large, and had a lovely view out over the lake. But there was peeling paint and nails pops in the walls, as well as what appeared to be bird poop on the wall close to the sliding doors. There was no handle on the screen door and the door and screen were both filthy. Then we discovered that there were 2 very large deposits of bird poop out on the patio. Looking up we discovered a bird’s nest in the rafters, filled with eggs that hatched overnight. This pretty much made the patio unusable. In the big bathroom there was good counter space for toiletries and an adequate amount of towel bars/hooks, but the shampoo bottle was empty. Towels were OK, the bed linens were lovely. We never did get the floor fan we had requested at the time we made our reservation. The resort has beautiful grounds and a lovely setting on the lake, but the windows throughout were pretty grimy and needed a good washing. As for the restaurants – we were at the Lookout Bar twice – once for drinks and once for lunch. They were out of at least half of the beers on their draft menu and the hamburger was about the size of a small McDonald’s burger, and about 10 times the price. Service was a mixed bag – mediocre for drinks and pretty good for lunch. We had a lovely dinner at 1878 on the Lake, but our server had absolutely no idea how to open a wine bottle, nor how to pour from it once it was finally opened. All in all, it was a rather disappointing stay and we’ll probably look elsewhere next time we’re in the area.

Didn't even stay the night I paid for. I was staying here for 10 year anniversary. I requested lake front view room and the view was ok from room. Wasn't very romantic when you go to sit on patio and your neighbor literally took our chairs from our patio and were using it. I go inside room and can hear the couple talking in their room next to mine. We go for a walk along the path and there js a wedding. We were stopped and told we couldnt walk the path because of wedding. We werent even talking. Just wanted to walk the path. We werent even up next to the water or wedding and not in any view of a photographer. The bed so hard, myself and fiance couldn't lay on it for more than 30 min without pain. Found 2 black bugs crawling on wall next to bed. 1878 on the Lake was a horrible experience! I called ahead to reserve table next to window in a spot where its a little private and told them its our 10 year. We get there and was not given table requested and the one I did request had no one sitting there. We asked to move and they did move us. When we ordered food the waitress said would you like soup or salad like most places do. We ordered salad. After 40 minutes, food comes. Both steaks are very overcooked. They re cooked one of our steaks. Bring a new one 25 minutes later after I've finished my meal. The new steak was still cooked wrong. They offer us free dessert. Get the bill and find out they charge $10 for each salads. Why wasn't that mentioned when they ask? We would have said no salad. We were there for over 2 hrs due to the speed of service. I had plans for after dinner that was missed due to the time. Get back to the room and try to sleep but the rock solid bed and flat pillow made it impossible. We packed our things at 10pm and drove an hour home. Never coming back and recommend no one I know stays there or eats there. Extremely sad it happened on my 10 year anniversary.
