Depends on what shift you are dealing with mostly the employees know what they are doing but thinking outside the box and looking things up in a book (old school)they are lost as puppy in the forest
I called to confirm AutoZone will accept and recycle auto batteries (I had 5 auto batteries). They were very helpful on the phone.When I arrived, I was met in the parking lot by an employee with a cart to help me load. AutoZone did not charge for the service.
Katie is spectacular. Our company car failed to start and needed a starter. She knew exactly what we needed, had the part, had a tool set we could buy at a very reasonable price (we hadn't planned on this failure out of town). We installed the starter and got back on the road. Thank you Katie!!!
They had the part I needed but the employee who helped me didn’t think I knew my own car and second guessed every answer I gave. I will go elsewhere for my future car needs where I’m treated with more respect and kindness.
Stopped by to test a new alternator that I just bought from AutoZone and had shipped to my house. I wanted to have the alternator tested before putting it into my car which is a 4 hour job. The guy working did not want to test it. He said it would take too long and wasn't accurate. I'm thinking he just did not know how to do it and was afraid to say it. I had to go across the street to O'Reilly and have it tested with no issues even though I didn't even buy it from them.
I got my tires rotated and had an unexpected issue with the lug nuts (a side effect of having an older, high mileage car). I stopped in to get an attachment for the socket I had so I could do the best I could to get my car home since I live quite a distance away and it was getting dark. Ty went above and beyond to help me find the right breaker bar, even checking my lug nuts himself to make sure they were tight. He expressed a great amount of care and concern and I think if it hadn’t been for him I could have very well been waiting on a tow truck in a ditch instead of getting home safe. I will recommend this store to everyone and I will never forget his kindness. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Thank you Ty, and thank you Autozone!
I came in to get a new battery for my car, was in a town I never been in because that is where we broke down. Unfortunately the big box did not have any batteries in stock for a week.... So, Ty came to the rescue. He got me all set up and back on the road. THANKS ONCE AGAIN BUDDY.. keep up the great job and attention to detail.
I went in to get my light replaced above my license plate and Robbie was a huge help! The service was great and I was out of there within 10 minutes! All of the staff were very welcoming and more than willing to help! I highly recommend going there for anything car related!
On Christmas Eve leaving IL I realized I had a headlight lamp out. I stopped at the AZ in Lake in the Hills and bought a lamp assuming my uncle could put it in. That was not the case. I called and Robert said come on by and I'll do my best. He was so kind and professional and I'm very thankful he was able to change it because it would have been a very dark ride home to IL. Thank you Robert for all your help it was VERY much appreciated!
Robbie was such a great help! I needed my battery replaced in my Chrysler Voyager and he was so nice and understanding! ( i have no auto knowledge! i have no idea what i was doing! I'm a mom of 3 kids and no knowledge on cars) Great personality and so helpful!!

Robbie and Alex were both amazing, alternator went out and the car broke down once we got to the autozone parking lot. They helped push the vehicle and found the correct alternator for replacement. They then offered to replace it but when I said I could do it they then offered all the tools I would need and charged the battery back up. Couldn’t have broke down in a better place, big thanks to those two!

Manager named Robert knows his stuff! Came in, asked for brake advice because my car was making a grinding noise in the front, and he set me up with the best quality brake pads and rotors I’ve ever seen and felt! Would 100% recommend going to Robert for ANY of your auto parts needs!

Update: Another yet again above and beyond amazing experience with AutoZone! Your staff at the delavan AutoZone is amazing and very hard working. My husband and I got the pleasure of meeting Robbie today! I had to go pick up a pcv line earlier this afternoon and he helped find the best option. After my husband replace the ignition coil and rest of the spark plugs. The car was still sounding ruff so we took it up to autozone to get it scanned. Robbie helped make sure the issue was what the scanner said and also listened to the car and was able to help us figure out what was wrong. If your looking for knowledge , help, etc I definitely recommend AutoZone there employees are absolutely amazing !!
