They even do uncommon jobs. They helped us pull a flagpole out of the ground and relocated it across town. All service with a smile.

I was recently stuck at the Red Robin in Janesville. Nothing makes a night better than finding out your car battery has died a sad, quiet death in a parking lot. Dustin from Hornik Towing & Recovery showed up right on time and honestly, he turned a stressful night into something manageable. Not only was he friendly and professional, but he took the time to explain the difference between a dry battery and the 12V main battery in my Prius V. Then he walked me through how to use the key fob override, which I’d never heard of before. I’ll admit, I completely forgot the key fob even had a battery. I basically did what everybody does: I looked at it in denial, tried it multiple times, and then swore at it like someone being dragged out of a courtroom. My attempts at starting the car did not seem to help the situation. Dustin didn’t make me feel dumb about it. He just calmly explained everything. Most tow drivers would’ve just done the jump and left, but he stuck around, made sure I understood what was going on, and actually helped. Jokes aside, it was nice to be treated with dignity. I truly appreciate that. I used to drive Monte Carlos, Novas, and Mustangs. I can still drive a stick which, in today’s world, seems like some kind of lost magic. But these new hybrid systems? They’re foreign to me. I was going to try jumping it myself but alas, I didn’t want to accidentally blow up a car I just finally paid off… in the parking lot of a burger joint. What really stood out to me tonight was how when I asked him to make sure I could drive away before he left, he had no problem doing that. I didn’t want to be stuck at Red Robin at 10 p.m. on a weeknight. That’s not exactly a confidence booster. In a day and age where customer service often means people barely look at you or, if you’re lucky, stare you down like one of the walkers from a zombie movie, Dustin from Hornik Towing & Recovery was the opposite. You could tell he genuinely cared and also knew what he was doing. I’m keeping his card in my wallet, and I’ve already told my older father to call him if he ever breaks down. I encourage anybody reading this to screenshot the card (I attached it right here in this post) if you want a business where they actually show up and treat you like a human being.

Hornick deserves praise for helping a veteran who ran out of gas at no charge. I am thankful for people who support our veterans. God bless!

If I could give this place zero Stars I would. My fiance and I blew a tire on the interstate right outside of Janesville. We contacted AAA and they sent a short thin man to help us. As we sat waiting, I was smoking a cigarette and my fiance had a black and a mild cigar. The gentleman pulled up, barely said two words to me and said he couldn't help us and left. We contact AAA, and they did not tell us the problem but said they would send someone else. This was at 3:30 p.m. we did not get off the interstate until 8:00 p.m. as this company was supposed to send someone else to help and after a few hours they decided to say they would not help us because we were smoking! I am appalled at the fact this gentleman didn't even ask me to put my cigarette out nor did he tell us what the issue was. Funny, my fiance is African-American and this man didn't leave until he saw him. This is a disgrace and if this company is racist, I would not go with them I would opt for someone else. I pray they do something to make this right they left us in danger for hours!

AAA sent Hornik out to tow my truck. They were there within a hour of my requesting a tow from AAA. Fast, friendly, and careful with my vehicle! Would highly recommend! Thanks again!

Called triple AAA yo get my car started. Guy hooked it up for about 2 mins. Proclaimed it was a bad started and said he needed to get going. Didn't bother waiting to try to charge the battery enough to start. Just dismissed it and I am still left stranded. Thanks for the lack of commitment to your job!

My battery died at Hobby Lobby tonight. Called GM Roadside Assistance, and although I could hardly understand the rep, he said it would be 90 minutes before I got help and to make sure I stayed by my truck. I didn’t even have to wait 20 minutes before Dustin called and said he was 6 minutes out! Those orange tow truck lights were a glorious sight when he pulled up. What a nice, kind and reassuring young man! My faith in humanity was restored. Keep up the phenomenal work HORNIK and thanks again to Dustin. This ole gal sure appreciated the save.

Dustin really came to my rescue. My car stopped running at a busy intersection and everyone was getting frustrated with me but it was out of my power and led to me becoming a hot mess, he came and was so sweet. He got there within 30 minutes (driving way across town), gave me a ride back to my house (with my car lol) and was literally so kind and made riding with a stranger far from awkward. Thank you Dustin!!

Enterprise Rental dispatched Hornik Towing to my location for the rental I had and took both myself and car to Firestone Complete Auto Care. Chris the driver was courteous and professional, Great job & Thank you!

My car likely had a serious water pump issue yesterday in Janesville, and I live in Lake Geneva! It was rather traumatic for this tired 75 yr old woman ! I called AAA and they dispatched Chris, who arrived in a timely manner. (about 20 min). He was very kind, professional and accommodating. I had the 100 mi. towing package and it was arranged for him to tow my undriveable vehicle all the way back to Lake Geneva ! The ride was friendly and pleasant. My college niece was along as I was picking her up at the bus station. What a nightmare it could have been if I wouldn't have made it there ! The service from Hornik Towing was Ecellent! They accommodated me with the times I needed and had to work with. They were courteous and kind! Went above and beyond what I expected. I will use there service again if needed and will always recommend them to someone else! Chris was the guy that helped with our tow. He was creepy, very dirty(sexual) and made me uncomfortable. Work wise he did a good job, he handled getting my vehicle from one place to the other.

Chris with Hornik Towing helped evaluate and replace a corroded battery on our vehicle. We used AAA to request roadside assistance and he arrived in a reasonable time frame. He was very honest and performed the battery change quickly even with the corroded battery terminal issues.

Dustin was exceptional and amazing, he put the XL truck exactly where I needed. Is a really nice guy, literally the best towing service I have had! So I just want to say thank you to Dustin.

Tom showed up super quick, I only waited about 15 minutes total for him after my call for a tow. When he showed up and I got out to meet him, he was very cautious and made sure I was out of harms way while on the side of a busy highway. He had my vehicle hooked up and back home within 30 minutes, and even gave me an idea of what may be wrong with my car so I had a place to start. Overall, he was very friendly and super kind. He made a super stressful situation so much better. I will definitely be using and recommending Hornik for any future towing needs.

I called after hours. They were the 4th place I called and the FIRST to answer the phone. They told me it would be about half an hour and they were spot on. The driver was friendly, experienced and knowledgeable. He was careful yet efficient. Excellent experience. Next time they will be my first call.

Dustin came and towed my Father's station wagon 45 miles to where it needed to be worked on. He was so professional and kind. He made this an extremely pleasant experience! Would definitely use again.

Called these guys up, dispatcher was friendly and promised I would have a driver out in 30 mins. Driver showed up and had me taken care of in 25 mins! I didn't catch the driver's name but he was friendly and professional. I'll definitely call these guys again!

I had to tow my car to a shop to be worked on. Dustin showed up within 30 minutes of my call, was kind and efficient in loading the car on the flatbed, and checked in at the garage where to place the vehicle. Will definitely call again if 8 ever need a tow.
