Paid $ 1496 for top of the line parts for brake work in 2020.( Rotors, calipers, pads). Asked for the best and was told 2 years warranty on labor and lifetime on Napa parts.
Called them 3/26 and was told the warranty only covered the caliper, not the rotors or pads. I feel mislead about the warranty. I was told that I did very well getting 40k miles on the brake job, because the car "must not have been driven much" and the parts today "rust away" when not used a lot. It was written right on my invoice "lifetime Napa". Suffice to say, understand and ask for clarity when dealing with Skyway, which I will never do again.
Very pleased with their service. My daughter's car broke down while working at a local camp this summer in Chetek. Skyway was recommended by a member of the camp staff as we are from Michigan. Fixed the problem and replaced some other parts upon their advice as there would be no add'l labor at that point. Explained options and benefits of each. Got the work done very promptly. Thanks Andy.
Friendly but …. I dropped a car off to be repaired and I waited for like a week so I called and the continued to tell me the issue I already knew about which is why I brought my car there in the first place and then told me they weren’t going to do it and they stated that they had already called me to pick it up which I have zero record of so pretty unreliable if you ask me
We are from out of town and needed an unexpected repair - without an appointment 1st thing Monday morning. The mechanics at Skyway fit us into their schedule and repaired our vehicle quickly and we were able to complete our trip. We are so appreciative! Nice, clean shop. Very nice and friendly people!
Charged $20 to plug a tire I hand carried in, tried to charge $40. When I complained gave $20 of the $40 back and told me to go to Walmart next time. I will.
My car has a bad brake line so I called these guys because they came highly recommended by everyone I talked to, including my father even. They were super busy and couldn't get my car in until August 10th but they wanted me to drop it off on the 9th so I did. 15 minutes later I get a call from Russ informing me he can't work on my vehicle because it smells like cigarette smoke; now I am a heavy smoker but I have NEVER run into this issue before or ever heard of it happening to anyone else. At any rate whatever, they have the right to refuse service for whatever flimsy reason they can create I guess. What really upsets me (and trust me I'm being very cool about this right now and leaving out all the expletives) is the fact that I booked my car to be serviced with them 3 weeks ago back in July. They might have mentioned that smoking was such an issue right away and not wasted 3 WEEKS of my time! Very unprofessional and a huge waste of my time and money (since I don't like driving a car without fully functional brakes I had to count on friends, family, and co-workers for transportation, I also moved out $700 from my stock account to cover the expenses...there's fees for that, etc.). Anyways I will never attempt to use these guys again and if anyone ever brings up Skyway Repair I will be sure to tell them this unfortunate and very true story.
Side Note: I would have given 0 stars but apparently that isn't an option.
I had a lot of problems with how my car was restructured and I came to just get my rotors replaced. The workers fixed the other issues they ran into without question. I am super pleased with my service!
Got a massive oil leak during some unusually cold weather. They were very busy but told me to drop off my Jeep and they would get it in. 4 DAYS later I'm back on the road. They even cleaned up all the oil that had covered the engine. They also saved me money on a future repair that was coming up and did that while they were at it 👍
First rate repair with high quality. Only shop in the area able to fix a 7.3 diesel. No more looking for a mechanic for my ford, this is the place to go.
Very helpful and friendly. I had an issue with my truck while visiting Chetek and there team here helped me out even though they had a full schedule. I will recommend them.
