We wish we could put more than five stars! We were moving to a new home and using BlackJack's Uhaul service but were having trouble with the Uhaul app after business hours. We lucked out and the owner was still around working late and went above and beyond to help us. He was very kind to us and showed us what to know about the truck even though they clearly had a long day already.
I will NEVER call them again for anything. First, they couldn't actually fix my car, then they didn't manage to get the vehicle towed to someone that could. So I had to arrange for someone else to tow it. Said would only charge me $250 + tax and not charge for the diagnostic, but the total came to $389+. I will never call them again, nor will I ever recommend them!
After their response I just have to reply to demonstrate their ability to LIE to customers - they did NOT at ANY time offer to tow my vehicle anywhere else for free! In fact, they REFUSED to tow it anywhere & wouldn't take my card or check or cash payment!! Makes it really hard to pay for ANYTHING when they refuse to accept it!! Just remember - they do know how to lie, even if they do NOT know how to treat customers!!

I want to Thank Blackjack towing for coming in to rescue me at the car wash. I had locked my keys in the car and he came in with a long hook and unlocked my car. Such nice people to deal with. I can’t thank him and one stop automotive enough!!

I experienced mechanical problems with my vehicle on a long distance trip passing through Chetek. Luckily for me, I chose Blackjack Towing over a couple of other local towing options after finding out that they had their own service facility. My vehicle needed repairs to get it roadworthy enough to get home and avoid extremely costly repairs as I was a long way away from my regular service facility.
Blackjack Towing arrived within 15 minutes of my call, and was very courteous in helping me in a difficult situation. At the shop, they quickly fixed my vehicle well enough so that I could drive it home and avoided very costly repairs.
I'm very grateful to Blackjack Towing. I highly recommend them!
Excellent customer service. My boat trailer experienced a blowout at 1130pm on saturday night. Caleb was careful with my boat. Trasported to their lot. Didn't charge daily fees. Changed tires. And provided Excellent customer service. I would recommend them to any and everyone of my loved ones.
Caleb came out late at night to pull myself and 2 boys out of the Dutch after calling 3 other companies. Said he'd be there in 30 minutes he was right on time . Great company and great guy ! Thanks so much !

Misdiagnosing something that is not faulty. Sometimes to pad their bills, mechanics will tell a customer non-defective parts need to be replaced. ask for your old parts.
Overcharging for parts or labor.
Charging for unnecessary repairs. I often hear that a mechanic diagnosed a problem, repaired it and - surprise, surprise - the problem was still there. They then re-diagnose it as a different problem and repair that. Sometimes, this repeats as the mechanic conducts the Ship of Theseus paradox in real life.

Brad thee owner is more of a fair and honest man than most or all of the buisness owners I know. He literally saved my week maybe month by just being a simple and decent guy with me. Use his services if you need anything along the lines of car work, transportation, ect.. I'm real feel free to look me up. Thank you Brad!
Very bad service!! Wish we had read the other reviews sooner. My grandma called for a quote on a heater motor and a fresh air door. She was quoted $365 for these repairs. When she called back she was told she had been wrongly quoted and zack is fired. (???) They then quoted her $385. (We should have walked at this point.) My grandma has very low income and cannot work due to both knees being bone and bone. She was able to get help from a local chruch. I believe this is what upset the owner. When the vehicle was ready to be picked up the owner of the shop said it was done but they would have to wait until it was back from lunch. When they picked up the vehicle the receipt did not show that he had fixed the heater motor. She was charged $250 for the fresh air door when she was quoted $385 The appointment was for both parts. My mother who was helping my grandma this day convinced my grandma to go back in and ask why it was not fixed. Brad then offered to fix the heater motor for free. My grandma was very appreciative of this!!! As she was trying to figure how much it would cost to have them done separately and was surprised by the offer. She then received a bill and a letter in the mail shaming her for receiving charity! and not giving them a GREAT BIG THANK YOU! (Im not even joking this wrote this to an elderly women) We are sorry they felt this way but even more disappointed with their reaction. They also claimed they will no longer work with chruchs and said it was because of her!! My aunt picked up the vehicle for my grandma as she had no mode of transportation while he completed the repairs. While there she only asked if they saw any transmission leaks to which they said they had not. She said thank you and left. They claim my aunt was also rude so they will now be charging her. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. My grandmother was almost in tears over the horrible experience and rude letter/surprise bill she received in the mail.
Amazing customer service. Brad went out of his way to get the correct parts needed for my vehicle. And the price was great as well. Highly recommend will absolutely return.
Blackjack towing are rude an over charge for their service. Brad thinks he's above the law an can charge 1,000 for a 5 mile tow than 300 for inside storage when. In fact it's sitting outside I have pictures to prove it.
Had to have my car towed last week because the alternator was bad. Brad came and picked me & my car up and even took me to work so his workers could work on the car and even dropped my car off after work! Very fair price considering the work done. Will be back for everything done on my car from here forward! I let all my friends know as well, support small businesses with great people!
Great place!! Extremely fair pricing along with great staff!! Highly recommend to anyone to has car issues, worked with my friends on prices. Brad accommodated to my busy schedule for everything, whether it was getting my car past hours or jumping my car at work. If anyone has problems with him, maybe you should check yourself.
Amazing service. We broke down on highway in our van pulling a trailer with all of our dogs a rainy, cold night. Brad and his team went above and beyond to help us get to a safe place for repairs in the morning.
Please do not take your car to Blackjack towing and repair. I tried to keep it local and have them repair my transmission. Brad is just not knowledgeable about repairs in his shop. He lacks customer service skills and is over charging customers. My transmission linkage is messed up. My truck also magically developed a hole in the radiator while at his shop. He claims he never seen truck run prior to his shop receoving it so not his fault. My family,friends and myself can testify there were no radiator issues before blackjack towing picked it up. Poor service,poor customer service, damaged vehicle and over charging. You be the judge. Is this how you want your auto repair experience to be handled?

EDIT- i do allot of my own repairs and i didn't have a tool so I took my truck here and as i start doing work on my a couple months later I am coming across things they didn't take care of properly. They cut out a support on the front of truck. I am finding wires that have not been plugged back in that could cause electrical issues. In my opinion they have been very sloppy and not very careful in doing work. I would not take any vehicle of mine to them to work on.
Here’s the thing about Blackjack - the service is great but that’s a given, they’re dependable (again a given), price is fair (better than others in the area), and car diagnostics spot on - BUT outside of good service and fair prices, the thing I like The best about my visits to Blackjack in Chetek is the chance to teach Brad a thing or two about geopolitics!! 🙀 OR to just make up my mind to listen and learn a thing or two about his take the same. Proof that contrary to much of our country today, reasonable people can have real discourse, exchange information and points of view in a civil and respectful way. Thanks Brad.
We broke down in the middle of the night and got towed to blackjack towing.First thing in the morning, they moved us to the front of the line and had us on the road in two hours! Excellent service. Highly recommend!

Hit a raccoon up by Rice Lake and needed a tow as it damaged the radiator and I lost all the coolant. I'm from out of town, just looked online and called these guys in the middle of the night and couldn't have been happier with the service. They came out right away, towed the car back to their shop, and got me back on the road as soon as possible. Plus they were fair on price. Good mechanics you can trust--highly recommended.
