7/9/24. Today I had my mother at WCH who is handicapped. She is unable to walk and requires a power chair and handicap van with ramp. The vans battery died. I called Daniel from Advance Auto and explained the situation of Mom being stuck in van. Within a few minutes ,he arrived at the hospital and installed a new battery in this 94°temp. There are still good people and local businesses that go up and beyond. I wanted to give a big shout out and thank you to Daniel.
Gave me the wrong parts, didn't honor qhat another employee promised for a discount when talking to someone else. Not sure if I will return if this happens again just seems unprofessional
Polite well trained staff. Clean store .positive attitudes. And a willings to make sure they provide you with all you need and the proper information ..great job new martinsville west virgina loction
They handed me the item I wanted ... But could not loan me any hand tool to fix it on the spot. I just needed to remove my gas cap when the other was damaged. And they couldn't help either. They're not allowed to help any more. I am not strong enough to take a broken locked gas cap off.. But I figured big guy could. Easily. But he wasn't allowed to help me. So I returned the part after I found someone I could get to help me before I ran out of gas. But they were nice.
I normally shop at Advance Auto . there are some employees that could use some public relations(PR) lessons from the Glenville Advance Auto. This store can be rude and sharp , making you feel stupid and upset. There is one other Advance Auto that made me feel the same way in Morgantown,WV. So this store is a less desirable place for me to go for my car needs.

Everything from major repairs, do it yourself tune-ups, and everyday maintenance such as fluids and oils and even down to air fresheners Advanced Auto Parts has it all. They have a service where they will run a diagnostic check on your vehicle to help determine what's wrong. The staff will help change your wiper blades or battery.. basically anything that needs changing and can reasonably be done in the parking lot they will assist you in doing so. If you purchase items w a warranty they keep track of it under your phone number and when you change it out bring your old one in for a core charge refund. Do not forget the Loan a Tool program where you can borrow tools for free for a certain period of time.
You just let go the only person in that store that knew what he was talking about. People waited in lines just to talk to Dave even though there were 3 other people working. You have just lost over half your business. People will follow wherever Dave goes... So way to ruin your business morons.
Why would you let the most knowledgeable person go. Dave was the most helpfull and most mechanical inclined person you had. I spent a lot of money in that store and will be spending it down the road from now on , Unless Dave's face reappears. What dumb _sses
