This place is great. Have been going here for 10+ years. I’m a pharmacist - know nothing about cars. They could swindle me for all I’m worth and I’d be none the wiser - that’s the feeling I’ve had from other local shops. This place feels different - clean, friendly, trustworthy, quick. Even took care of my flat tire on my Tesla on very short notice (while holding their nose, I’d imagine). Love the large sign they have explaining their business philosophy in the waiting room. They set the standard for how a business should operate.
I had a relative have a flat tire on a pretty crappy car relatively close to the shop. I put the spare on and dropped it off over there to make sure that the car was still worth putting on the roof for a little bit. This place was able to meet my expectations and more. Thank you.
I needed a state inspection for my truck. It was quick, inexpensive, and I was on my way in no time. Super nice people too. When i need work done on my truck, i'll be back!
After my local shop closed, came to C.A.R.S today for some state inspections on vehicles and trailer. Fantastic facility, great hospitality both at front desk and with the mechanics. Straight forward, helpful and I believe I just found my new shop to do the work I can’t.

I always go here to get my car fixed from anything like an oil change to when I got my engine replaced, I know these guys are committed to hard work and always do it in a timely manner. I have been a customer of this repair shop since the original owner back in 2005. When original owner passed away, I was skeptical about using the repair shop but continued to be a loyal customer; oil changes, inspection, brakes and minor repair jobs. All was fine until this last visit, last week. The shop has a guy up front who thinks he's funny, charming and "Mr. Friendly"....trying to retain business, but don't be deceived. "Mr. Friendly" or Kenny,
misquotes prices on parts, labor prices are ridiculously high and it takes the shop forever to fix repairs and Kenny is a rude liar. He hung up on me when I questioned the bill and his math. This shop charge $81 for a simple oil change.....$195 for a third brake light that was quoted by Kenny as costing $135 and took two hours to put light in the car. Labor was over $150 to put in a third brake light!!!!! This shop charges tax on shop and environmental fee. This repair shop is NOT recommended. Find another place to take your car. Don't be fooled by "Mr. Friendly"!!!! C.A.R.S. is not what it once was, the original owner is gone and the respectability and integrity of the shop went with him!!!!
Not friendly or helpful AT ALL. Went in at 12:30, (get it, you're going to lunch, no problem) told them we wanted a safety inspection. Was told to come back at 1:30. Went back at 1:30, guy was finishing lunch, so we waited patiently, not saying anything. He finished lunch, stood up, and as he was walking out the door to the garage, he said something like, safety inspections are cash/check only. He KNEW we were there before leaving for an inspection. We left for an hour where I could've gotten cash, but instead, I drive BACK OUT THERE for nothing. Seriously, go somewhere else. They aren't friendly and don't want your business. I have three older vehicles I would've had serviced there from now on, since we just moved here. Not now. I found another place in Ranson, walked in and the guy was so welcoming and friendly. I'll go there for all my vehicle needs!
Super nice and honest group of guys work here. They don't try to get you to do work you don't need to do, and they offer fair and competitive prices for the work. I recommend them to anyone I know who needs car work they themselves can't handle

I go to this place allot. I have a long daily commute to work and my oil changes are about every two months instead of 3. When I went last time, one of the techs noticed that the oil was still pretty clean during it's oil change. So he added an extra thousand in my next oil change. It cost them money to do that because I'm not going to be back as often, but it was an honest decision! I love these guys!!**"
This is the only place that touches my car. When I move in to a new area, I always look for a place that is trust worthy and I only take me cars there. That way they know the history of the cars etc. Yes, Billy might come of a little strong but I've seen Billy and his crew work hard for everyone there. And more importantly, I've never seen him upsell or over charge on a product. I've been going to them for almost 3 years now and I'll keep going to them.
If you're looking for a car shop that will be honest with you and charge you a very fair price, this is the place to go!
The service here is top tier. Communication is excellent, pricing is great, staff is all knowledgeable and experienced and have worked with me on multiple occasions. I can’t say enough positive words about them; DEFINITELY recommend them to anyone!
My father found this place back in 2005 and we've been going to them and no one else since. They are amazing! They let you know exactly what's wrong with the car and what needs to be done to it. No gimmicks, no money hustling, just straight to the point. Very friendly and just overall a wonderful shop with wonderful people!
Absolutely fantastic service and great prices! They were all very kind and my car was finished within a few hours. And now my heat works! HIGHLY recommended!!
Not sure if we caught them on a bad day or what, but dropped off car at 8 am when they opened (because I had been warned by them that they had issues with people messing with cars left overnight) for a state inspection. He told my husband to be back by 430 (not sure why when they close at 5 according to the sign on their door) so I had to leave work early to make it back there. Got there at 427 and they had not gotten to our car. We were told there were busy with bigger jobs... then why tell us to be back by 430? And they had our phone number to call if there was an issue. Took the car back into the bay, had it there for 2 min, put an inspection sticker on it and told my husband not to come back. Don't worry, we wont. And interesting since the only cuss words my husband said were on his way out the door in response to comments that included cussing that were made to him. (He had me on the phone by that point.)
Above and beyond expectations. We were on our way to Tennessee and got a nail in our tire. The service writer could not have been more helpful. He sent someone to pick up new tires and got them mounted and we were on the road again in an hour! Couldn’t ask for better service. Use CARS whenever possible.
Been going here for 2 yrs for repairs and inspections, very professional, cost efficient, friendly, and up front with anything that needs fixed. Would never ever again take my car to anywhere else to get repaired, like this place and would recommend to anyone looking for great place to go

Always been happy with the work done here. I've done business with these guys for a few years now. I have yet to have any complaints. I have never felt like they tried to mislead me or recommend a repair that wasn't truly needed. Rates ste very reasonable and they try work you in, but never tell you they can get you in only to say later they couldn't.
Unprofessional and Rude. Not first time I've been to this business and felt the staff was ignorant but definitely the last. Showed up @1220 to get an Oil change. Guy up front tells me their about to go on lunch and to come back at 2. I asked if I needed to make an appointment and he said no that it was first come first served. I arrived backed at 150 as directed by first employee and was greeted by another guy with zero people skill who said What do you need. I said I was there to get Oil changed and his reply was simply "Not Today you won't." I explained I was there earlier and told to come back at 2. He said" I dont care what you was told, It wont be until next week if even then." I walked out for my final time of this rude infested so called business!
Reliable, honest, very prompt! Brought in my '05 Impala with front clanking noises, fearing the struts needed replacing. Next morning, car was ready, with a minor issue instead of the expensive strut replacement. The charge was very fair, no overcharging or overselling. Would definitely bring my vehicles for repairs in the future to Ken and the guys!!!
The mechanics know there stuff. Fast, efficient, and fair priced. Never had to bring a car back because it wasn't fixed properly. Wish my garage was as clean! Highly recommend them.

Everywhere I move I always look for a locally owned shop that will exclusively take care of my cars. This place was recommended to me by a neighbor and I'm glad he did. The prices are fair, I understand that it's a business and they need to make profit but I never feel over charged or upselled. The mechanics are passionate about their jobs and care about their work.
After going to them for about a year, my car broke down on a trip to King's Dominion. It wasn't too far from their place and I had it towed. They immediately went to work on it and even skipped their lunch break. They told me what I needed and showed me the problem then they got to work.
Definitely recommend them!!
Great group of guys. Will not try and over change you for something that you don't need, as a woman who doesn't know a whole lot about cars that is very important to me. I trust them completely with both my vehicles for updates, repairs and state inspections.
