I got stuck during the recent snow and used Riggs. Service was professional, fast, and courteous and I was able to get on with my day after not such a great start- Thanks again Dan!!!
I had a pretty tough job for Dave to do on my car that I just got and I knew it was going to be complicated but he pulled it off which surely bailed me out of my battery dying constantly. And they pretty much got me right in I didn't have to wait a month to get this fixed. And even prior to them doing the work Dave n Mike let me stop by there to check something real quick and they did a free diagnostic for me and gave me an hour of free time so a lot of places don't do that.
I would definitely recommend this place if you want an honest shake and get your work done, they don't try to rob you on prices which a lot of these other shops out here do, but Riggs keeps it real. Quick towing as well.
??♀️ I have been coming to Riggs Service Center for years and I have lived in Bridgeport, West Virginia for over 28 years. I have never felt disappointed in the work that they have provided to me and the care that they have shown. Dave and his entire crew work very well together and while I do not know everyone’s names, it is in their actions that give me great vibes for great service and I have recommended my friends and family for their service needs. I am no Spokesperson, but I can speak for Riggs Service Center that — “They Rock!” ?
Dishonest Dave doesn't concern himself with the customer's needs. He estimates jobs for hours and takes months. He ultimately returned the vehicle after 3 months with a flat tire(purchased from and guatenteed by him), and expired inspection (because of his procrastination). He wouldn't complete an inspection unless he was paid more for his time ( 3 months wasn't enough). He charged for simple repairs that he did not do, not once, but three times, ultimately leaving me stranded on the roadside. After which, Dave admitted that he'd lied (obviously) about completing the repairs and agreed after 4 trips to the shop(at my expense), that he would in fact do the work he'd been paid for in advance and lied about repeatedly. My only regret, I trusted DISHONEST DAVE. Don't make my mistake.
Highly recommend Riggs. We were halfway to our destination of Greenville, SC from Hamilton, ON, when something went wrong with our exhaust system. They were near our hotel and well reviewed on Google, so I called them. They said bring it on in. Although the place was clearly super busy, within about an hour they had it figured out and fixed, and the charge was more than reasonable. Good honest folk. Thank you Riggs!
Great friendly customer service and technicians there! They went above and beyond for our needs. 10 outta 10 recommend! We even plan to just stop.in and say hi next time we're on town! Great job Dave and everyone else there!!!! Thanks again!
So, I am not really sure how to feel about this place. We dropped my son's car off at 8:30 a.m. on Monday morning. They called at 2:51 p.m. and could not even figure out how to start it. We did not get a quote until 4:55 p.m. and he explained he forgot to add the price of a belt to the quote. We were told they had the parts and they could get to it first thing Tuesday. My son called at 2 p.m. Tuesday and they were still working on it. When they called around 3:30 p.m. to tell him the car was done, they had suddenly noticed the brakes & rotors were "bad" and needed to be replaced, which added another $90 to the bill. After I was referred by a friend and read the reviews, I was excited to use this place. While I think the price was probably better than other places I would normally go, I'm not sure I would recommend them based on my experience.
We were on our way to a business meeting and our brake caliper came loose. Dave at Riggs was able to come get our vehicle and get the repairs done THE SAME DAY! Even while being a guy short. And amazingly priced to boot. Wish we had you all back home. Thanks so much for your help!
I brought my Chevy Malibu in a couple years ago and they got me in super quick for an appointment and they didn’t try to up-sale me on anything, their prices are super reasonable and great service!
Have had excellent service with them. They have serviced all the vehicles we owned and have even had to play detective from time to time. Always been pleased with this mechanic.
Absolutely love this place! Dave is awesome! I had another garage quote me over $2000 to fix my exhaust, I only paid $500 for the car and was not paying 4x that to fix the exhaust. I went to Riggs on Lodgeville Road in Bridgeport and he fixed my exhaust for $200! He saved me so much money and did a wonderful job!! My car is so quiet now and sounds like it's brand new. Thanks so much Dave!!
Great shop that does quality work quickly. They had a chance to charge me for an expensive repair, but recommended that I wait because it wasn't a big problem, meaning that they sacrificed money to do the right thing. Then they took my car sooner than any other shop would, and were finished two days before the time they originally gave me. Excellent service and excellent people.
Riggs Service Center also does towing and they have the absolute best towing service in all of North Central West Virginia. The most professional and affordable towing I have ever used so I only call Riggs when vehicle troubles arise. You won’t regret it, but every other towing company will since they’ll lose your business!
I accidentally went to the wrong Riggs Service Center. It ended up being the one I was supposed to be at but made the appointment at the other one. Anyways... they kept me and did what needed done to my vehicle. Great service and prices!!! Definitely going back!!!
Go here first! I was glad to see the big NAPA sign when I drove up. That means they can get parts for sure, NAPA has the best books going way, way back. They totally did right by me and saved me some long coin and were friendly all the while.
My alternator went out heading home to Kentucky from Pennsylvania, and I’m glad it broke down where it did. These guys got me towed to the shop right after I called them. They were trying to get me back going the same day, but we had to order the part from the dealership. They got me fixed up immediately the next day. Everyone that I worked with there was super friendly and price was very reasonable. Highly recommend going here for your auto repair needs.
Riggs is great! They’re conveniently located near my home, so dropping off/picking up my vehicles for maintenance or repairs is easy. They always inform me of what I need and the cost. Repairs are always done in a timely manner. I highly recommend Riggs for your service needs.
Don't use this company for towing they will steal stuff out of your car and say they didn't do it my car was wrecked Friday on 79 and was towed by them and they took 20.00 worth of quarters out of my center console that we use for laundry
They were supposed to pick my vehicle up at 2:30 to I could make a 3:00 appt. at the mechanic. They never showed up and I lost my appt. to get my car repaired. I desperately needed my car the next day so it totally screwed me. Thanks Riggs. To bad I have to give you a 1 star rating.
They have been very fair in their prices with me plus above all did great work. For example today my old Nissan Altima was in need of struts and shocks so dropped it off this morning at 8:15 and called me back just after 11 am and it was finished! I was shocked it was that fast. Nice people too. I do recommend anyone to call for estimates of any repairs. They saved me hundreds on my struts and shocks compared to local dealerships.
Took advantage of me being a young girl and charged me 60 bucks to drive two minutes down the road and take three minutes to pull me out of a snow bank. had a little girl with him too, might have been his daughter or granddaughter but how would he feel if she one day got stuck in the snow and someone ripped her off like that when she needed help.
