We just moved to the area, and was looking for company that could take care of our vehicles and keeping up with the maintenance. I searched on Facebook for a reliable automotive repair company and I was given Mountaineer Auto Restorations. Glen the owner is very nice and knowledgeable to educate you on your vehicle. Took my car to these guys they helped me in every way possible I would recommend them to everyone. Too bad there's only 5 stars because they need alot more for just being human and understanding.
Glenn and the guys are my go-to for all my cars. Very fair, up front about what they are/are not comfortable taking on and prices you can't beat. 5 sets of tires, 3 sets of brakes, all new suspension, cooling system, transmission fluid and well over 1-2 dozen oil changes. Even squeezing me in for short notice/same day oil change services with less than 2 hours notice.
Just moved to WV and went to Mountaineer Auto for an inspection. I felt welcome the moment I pulled in. Great service, quick and very reasonable. Would highly recommend!
We were working on our well today and didn't have the right hose clamps, so my wife ran to the dollar store to see if they had some, they did not. So she decided to run across the street to this shop just in hopes maybe they would have them. Not only did they have them, but didn't charge her for them.You absolutely saved our butts today. For that we Thank you....
Highly recommended! They fixed my air conditioning, my rotors, my wife’s car undercarriage over the past years. They are reasonably priced and complete the job quickly. The owner, Glen, is personable and takes the time to listen. Lastly, my headlights were heavily oxidized and was told by another mechanic that they would need to be replaced. Nope! They restored them like new by a careful sanding process. Go see them!
This past Sunday—Father’s Day—I was leaving Hedgesville to head home to Richmond, Virginia, after a weekend with my dad. Just as I reached the end of the driveway, my car alerted me to low pressure in the right rear tire. I spotted a nail lodged in it, but being a Sunday morning, everywhere was closed.
I called Mountaineer Auto Restorations on a whim, and to my surprise, someone picked up. Even though they were closed for Father’s Day, they told me to swing by after church and they’d take care of it. True to their word, they came in just to help me out.
I was beyond grateful. In a world where that kind of kindness feels rare, father and son team showed up—not just as mechanics, but as genuinely good people who care about their community and the safety of travelers and locals alike.

They did a great job on my 66 Bel Air! Full paint job with bodywork. The price was fair. The talent is great. The artwork on my paint job is amazing! Highly recommend
We were traveling from out of town, the day before NYE, and happened to break down in parking lot across the street. After calling and being turned away from another mechanic, we spotted this place. The owner was so friendly and worked hard to fix our muffler and get our car back to us on New Year's Eve! We were so grateful to be in the right place at the right time, this could have seriously impacted our ability to enjoy our trip (not to mention our safety). Thank you for getting us back on the road!
Don't know about restorations, but I don't recommend getting your oil changed here. Not sure WHAT they put in my car, but had to have the oil changed 6 days later as all the dashboard warnings lights came on and the "oil" that they took out of my car was watery.
Really great service. They did a fantastic job on replacing my broken mirror and got my oil change and state inspection done so quickly. And it is SO helpful to get a ride back and forth- you dont have to wait. Very nice people work there- highly recommend.
Glen and his son Michael are a breath of fresh air in the area. Honest and do a great job. Have gone out of their way to take me back home when I had to keep my car their for a few days.
My son took his car for an inspection. Wouldn’t pass because needed new tires. He knew they were getting close. So he ordered new tire and alignment and inspection. Was told to drop off tomorrow and they would have it done by around 3. Son went by to pick up and was told they forgot to do the alignment so it’s not ready. So he missed that day of work. Not sure how you forget the alignment you just mounted and balanced the 4 new tires.But hey things happen. Now you would think that since you didn’t complete the work you were supposed to do his vehicle would be first one you finish the next day. Nope car wasn’t finished until almost 4 pm.Second day of work he has missed now. Son went to pick up and asked if maybe a little discount since it wasn’t ready when you said it would be and took another entire day to complete.Was told nope ticket already wrote up. Ok whatever. Then you proceeded to tell him you couldn’t do the camber and that he would need to take it to a dealership since they have the machine. Really. Now more money out of his pocket. Not sure if this needs to be done or not but don’t want to take a chance since tires are
brand new. So now he has just paid you almost 900.00 dollars and missed 2 days of work and he still has to take it to a dealership.
So needless to say first time visit and will probably be the last visit .
I guess if you just need an inspection then I’m sure you will be good. If you need other work done I would definitely recommend getting something in writing on exactly when they will be done so you don’t get stuck without a vehicle they said would be done same day.
Will always be a customer i cant say enough good things about them my truck was back up and running in no rime Being a widow its scary not having a car and or getting it fixed the right way at a peice u can afford the price was amazingly great the work is done right they call to update u and Glen is so fair very kind&caring i would recommend them to everyone i luv the doggie Zowwie she's so sweet and well trained ty all again so very much
Been having a terrible time finding a shop around here that will/can do an inspection for a month + now. Decided to give these guys a try. The owner is very sweet and he/the techs are very easy to talk to.
Got some good information and my inspection was quick. I will for sure be going back next time I need something done to my car. Glad I decided to go here.
Great experience. Everything you hope for but usually don't get when you take your car to a garage. Pleasant, honest, quick, and they don't overcharge you. I will absolutely be going here from now on!
Glen was super nice and respectful. He gave me an easy to understand explanation. He also sent me pictures of some of the problems that needed fixed. Overall great experience. I will be using this garage again for all my auto repairs.
Awesome job on my truck.Price was very reasonable...took it in for exhaust and they inform me other problems with my tie rods and other things...called me and inform me...plus after the work was done the owner call next day and see how everything was..

Great group of guys. Reasonable prices, quality work, and I wouldn't hesitate to have them work on any of my vehicles. They even inspected my SxS! Definitely a hidden gem in the area.
Had my car done here. Did a total front end rebuild struts,ball joints,tie rods,bushings ect.... on my 04 Honda Accord that has been pushed to it's limit with almost 700,000 miles on it. Glen and his son did great work. No second guessing his work. Drives as good as new. Great place to take whatever you got to them. Great people and the price was more than fair. Highly recommend by me and I'm picky. Just what our area needs, trust worthy shop and friendly people. Inspections, work need done, go see them. 7 days a week!
10/10 recommend!! Very friendly and polite! I went there without an appt for an inspection and was taken care of very quickly! I didn’t even have to get out of my car! Easiest inspection I’ve ever had!
