alex is so rude, he has the worst customer service ever. i walked in for a battery on my 69 camaro and Alex said this isn’t a zoo and he doesn’t help whales. Please employ better workers. will never come again.

After spending a few hours trying to reach area Walmarts to see if they had my battery in stock (locations would not pick up the phone), I called Budget Battery. Not only did they pick up right away, they confirmed that they had one to fit my car for under $80! I drove straight over they had me switched out and out of there in 10 minutes. THESE GUYS KNOW WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE LOOKS LIKE. Thanks, Doug, Dean, and the guys.

Got charger 180$ for a battery and installation after tax, if they told me the price before hand I would’ve put it in my self, 75 DOLLARS FOR LABOR? Lost my business

Awesome!! I went to see about my battery, the offered no cost option and said to come back if I still need, I did and it was installed and ready to go very quickly, friendly to all customers. I would recommend!!

Excellent service. They had the uncommon size battery I needed in stock and had it installed in about 5 minutes for $50 less than I’d been quoted elsewhere. Super nice and efficient group of guys working.

Best place to get a battery for your vehicle. They have options for pretty much everyone's budget (hence the name). They have reconditioned batteries (their Surefire brand) or they've also got brand new batteries. I've always run their Surefire reconditioned batteries in my cars over the years and they keep on going. My last Surefire I bought is still running strong after 5 years. They'll install a battery in your vehicle while you wait in most cases too (unless you have to take the car halfway apart just to install a battery). Doug and his team at Budget Batteries in Tacoma are great people. Great shop!

Was having issues starting my car and was recommended this place by a random guy at Target. The man with the beard was very nice, quick and efficient with changing my battery, and also explained the difference between a battery being “good” and it not having enough amps. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. Price was also really good as well!

My battery was dead it had a 1 year warranty. It had 1 month left on that warranty. They usually pro-rate them at this point. But he just swapped it, no charge!!! Very Thankful

AAA came out and charged my battery, sending me off telling me that I could go to Costco and they would install my/their purchased battery for half the cost. Once I got to Costco, I was told 'nope, we do not install'. They recommended Budget Battery just down the road. Trouble was the car didn't start, battery was too dead again. Doug from Budget Battery was heroic in his willingness to help bring a solution to me and provide whatever help I needed to get back to a running car. Total absolute recommendation+ for Budget Batteries. Doug's kindness and fairness to this older woman is/was really appreciated.

Arrived, explained what I needed, made my choice and Alex had the old battery out, the new battery in all within 10 minutes. No add on installation charge and they take care of the old battery disposal. All for a great price. Great service and special thanks to Alex.

I’ve bought from budget battery for some time now. It allows seems that the batteries fail right after the warranty is up. Very disappointed that I spend $100+ for a battery that won’t last over 1 1/2 years. I’ve decided to just buy from Costco for a few dollars more and triple the length of the warranty. For $100 the battery should last longer than a year and a half.

I had to have both the main and auxiliary batteries in my Jeep changed today. One was completely gone and the main one was about half of what it should be. Travis had both of them in in less than 20 minutes. If you know anything about changing batteries in Jeeps, especially the auxiliary battery, it takes time and it's a pain. Doug the owner was also a pleasure to work with. The Jeep is back up and running and doing everything that it needs to be doing. Total price was about half of what the dealership wanted. Big shout out to Doug and Travis at Budget Batteries. I will be recommending them from now on.

Go to this place if you need a new battery hands down, their prices and warranty cannot be beat. Their service is also excellent, they care about their work and will make sure not only your battery works well but diagnose and tidy up the connections as well. Super impressed by how fast they worked, in and out and done right.

I have been getting my batteries from budget since before I could remember and it has always been a great experience i don't go to many other places they are usually the first place that comes to mind when im looking for a battery. they have my full support and I would recommend to anyone I know.

The owner Doug is a man with integrity. We brought our daughters car in to get a new battery in 2022. She recently moved to Boise and just had an issue with her car. The mechanic diagnosed her battery as the issue. When I called Budget Battery, Doug explained the warranty requires he test the battery himself. When I explained the situation, getting the battery back to Washington would be impossible he decided to honor his warranty anyway. This type of customer service is very hard to find these days. I appreciate Doug doing something he didn’t have to do. Most businesses would have told me sorry but there was nothing they could do and send me on my way. I’ve purchased several batteries from Budget over the years and with this experience I will be a customer for life.

Bought a battery here in May of 2023. Today, my car was struggling to start, so I called, and Alex verified my battery was less than 3 years old, and would be covered by warranty if it was bad. I went directly there, they quickly tested the battery and determined it was dead. Less than 15 minutes on site and I drove away with a brand new battery at no charge. Thanks Budget Batteries!! Great service!

These guys are the best. My car battery died and once it charged I went to Budget Battery and they not only had a new battery available, they also replaced it for free! I was in and out within 15 minutes. Thanks guys you were great!

Super friendly. Excellent customer service. They took care of me in a very short amount of time and the cost was amazingly small. They were my lifesavers! I can't day enough good things nor thank them enough!!!!

Came here today, needing a deep cycle battery for my RV and was prepared to buy a couple of them thinking that was what I needed. But after speaking with Doug, who was very helpful and knowledgeable, he educated that one was probably more than enough for my camper van, unless I wanted to spend more money which wasn't necessary. Doug is a super helpful and highly knowledgeable guy who knows what great customer service is. I'm very pleased and will definitely be coming back here for future needs .

UPDATE: If you have battery, alternator, or starter problems this should be your first stop. Awesome service! Hard to find good honest mechanics these days ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The Tacoma Mobile broke down and not only did they test the battery but also the alternator which was bad. They lend me a spare for the time being so I could move my car that was inconveniently located, and to also bring it in. Now that’s friendly service. Fair prices too. Thanks Doug!

Got sent here by the roadside service person who jumped our car. He said our battery wasn't dead but we should get these guys to check it. They have been so quick and efficient I thought it was too good to be true but the other reviews confirm that these guys are great and they get the job done. And while our battery was able to be jumped -- yes, we needed a new one. So glad we were able to make it here before it conked out again.

This place is great! Really fast service great prices. Dealt with Trevor he help me figure out that my 6 year old battery was dead, got a new one for $79 with a 5 year warranty. They cleaned up my battery compartment at no charge, very happy. Doug is great too and has been here for 38 years. Can't say enough positive things about this store.
