This is a great place to bring big loads of scrap appliances and that sort of thing to be turned into shredder scrap. It's also a blast just to watch the huge machines work.
Very rude workers. Poor management. No signs or help. Again rude workers without explanation on where to go. Then made me wait 40 minutes for their “meeting”
Blatantly predatory advertising tactics to take advantage of the homeless and encourage theft in our neighborhoods. Putting up signs advertising all the different kinds of scrap they buy RIGHT AROUND HOMELESS CAMPS. I understand trying to help those in need, but this is basically telling them to go steal things and where to sell them once they have. The ads even specifically mention that they buy catalytic converters "with VIN" even though there's no way to link the VIN with the stolen catalytic converter and this area is absolutely plagued with cat converter theft. Love this place everybody here seems to enjoy their job that makes me happy Jasmine on the scale was awesome the big guy doing the grading told us what we have to take off that we weren't supposed to have in there and that's a good job definitely an asset to your company
Called to ask if they would take truck beds and they said shouldn't be a problem. Get there and they wouldn't take the truck beds. I won't be going back here. Plenty of other places to do business with.
I have been going to Schnizers Steel 33 years. Until they changed it I was always a happy customer before I opened my business as well as after. For years I had gone to Calbag instead, but at this time they are no longer buying steel. So I am forced to go to Schnitzers instead because they pay the highest and are the closest.
