I love the upgrades they've done, now you don't have to unload your yard waste or trash in the elements. The place is always clean and organized and the staff all seem nice. The addition of being able to see your weight before and after you dump is a nice touch. It has to be nice for them too because no one can get mad at the transfer station claiming they "ripped them off!" Btw they practically take everything, they have a nice, organized recycling area separate from the yard waste and trash area so you don't have to wait in line or talk to the staff to get in. They take metal and I believe lawn equipment as long as the gas (and probably oil) has been completely drained. Yard waste is free if you live in Pierce County.

Filled up an old truck that has a dump truck with a dump bed and was turned away, even though I was planning to hand unload they said I wasn’t allowed to be there. Funny how my tax money went into making this location, bigger and better but yet I get turned away? Absolutely ridiculous! Truck is way too old to go to a further dump absolutely ridiculous!!!

Unfortunately Pierce County privatized their solid waste disposal back in the 70's and you definitely feel it when you go to pay. $38 (up to 400lb) My pick up truckload ended up costing $80. $65 to dispose of a small AC unit. We used to go to King County because it was cheaper which is insane. Other counties like Mason are about half the cost of Pierce. The bad part is you have no choice because you can't go to other counties anymore. It's no wonder people are just dumping their garbage on roadsides all over Pierce County. With the amount we pay in taxes around here waste disposal should be a public service with a reasonable fee not a for profit private enterprise.

Very convenient near Bonney Lake for recycling, trash, and compost (no tilt trailers). also has small area for propane tank drop off. Only accepts lightbulbs...no other household hazardous waste accepted at this location. Most of the time, I don't have to wait for an open stall...very fast compared to some other locations throughout the area.

Nice staff, clean facility, covered dump drop off area. The recycling station is clean and covered as well. I return frequently.

Smooth and efficient operation. Note the traffic flow into the facility and follow directions and all is well.

No fee to recycle. Just drive up and dump your CLEAN and allowable items in the bin. Easy peasy.

Very easy & convenient. Facility was newer and cleaner, pulling up and dumping waste was simple, and the cost was very fair.

I have to say Jeff at Prairie Ridge went above and beyond the call of duty. I accidentally threw away some valuable suits and he took extra time out of his day to try to help me locate them. his customer service was phenomenal. Something you would not expect and I just really appreciate him and this transfer station that I use locally for all my dumping needs. 5 stars for sure kudos to Jeff for being amazing!!!!

So the dump in itself is fine. It's kept pretty clean and maintained. My problem is the price. I have lived in many different states and this is my first time ever having to pay to use a dump. The price is outrageous. $80 to throw away a TV???? If I would have known that I would have just taken it to goodwill. This is why you see mattresses and garbage all over the side of the road because people don't want to pay this outrageous price. $80 could have went towards me buying a new TV. Absolutely ridiculous. And this is a county ran service so I don't understand why our tax dollars can't pay for this service???

Super friendly ladies running the front office! I always love going to this place. The feeling after purging your house of junk is always a great feeling. Prices are fair and service is outstanding!

Take my own garbage away, very reasonable prices depending on how much the weight of your garbage. Like that they are expanding the site. Recycling in a separate spot is great you don't need to go over the scale. They also take hazardous waste like med needles

What can say it's like any dump, however the people are friendly and helpful. Never had any problems in the 20+ years we've been going there.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Rude, expensive, and not user friendly. $177 per ton to get rid of dirt/rock. Compared to 8/ton a town over. AND you can’t use a dump trailer AT ALL. We got a new baseball field in Bonney Lake though!!! SMH..how bout a decent dump!? Tired of these crooks!

I love this place! The staff is friendly. It’s quick to get in and out. There’s never a line. It’s small because it’s set up for local access only. Pricing is standard. You pay for garbage but yard waste, recycling and metal is free. Their hours are generous 7 days a week open.

As long as you're not going first thing on a Saturday or Sunday morning or on a holiday where everyone's got the day off you can usually get in and out pretty quick. They won't take extra large loads if you're over a certain cube amount because they are a smaller facility that loads trailers. They take appliances and yard debris for recycling.

I thought my lost cat wandered in there a few years back when I lived nearby and they were SO HELPFUL. They let us look for our cat on the property after hours and even let us set up traps. They had no obligation to do anything of the sort....but they did anyhow. That's what makes a business more than a business! If you need to choose a place to recycle or dump garbage or yard waste GO HERE!! Good people. That care.

Great local place to drop off garbage. I was hesitant to go hear because I thought I had to lift my trash into dumpsters, but no. The dumpsters are on a lower level with a rail to back up too. Very convenient and same price as trucking it all the way to Puyallup, but no lines and no stink!

Have been bringing recycle here for years. No fee until recently but for noxious weeds like blackberry if put in trash. Now they want you to pay for that. It is convenient for Bonney Lake.

The two women in the booth were very nasty and rude. When I tried to point out that if they were having a bad day it wasn't because of me she closed the window. I hate reading these reviews and assuming that there is another side to the story that the author isn't telling you. I didn't read their tiny sign that said please wait for cashier but after a minute on the scale I decided to pull forward to see if there was going to be someone inside to help me. At which point they both threw a fit from the other side of their booth where they were taking their smoke break. What is going to happen because of this review? Probably nothing, but I hope they read this and are not complete jerks to the next customer.

These people are a pleasure to do business with. The staff in the box are friendly. The staff in the tractors are helpful. They have help me get heavy metal recycling out of my truck without asking. Thank you so much!

The ladies at the scale booth are always so friendly and helpful. Certain large items are not accepted. They have specific guidelines of what sizes are allowed. Look on the website or call for the specific details.

The lady that works there is one of the rudest people I've ever had the displeasure of meeting. Every time I go here she's completely hateful and won't let you ask a question without interrupting you. I think I'll just make the drive to enumclaw from now on.

State owned privately run. Meaning rules are way less strict. Theres not a fine or fee.for every little thing. They do NOT overcharge for garbage. Best dump in which other dumps should aspire to be like. They are the gold standard of dumps. The lady at the window is super nice and friendly. Great place indeed

Been utilizing since 2004. Friendly service at gate. Easy to get in and out. Bit of a line on weekends. Traffic is usually guided with an officer and wait is short. I am moving to Puyallup. Will miss all services from both Bonney Lake and Orting.
