My experience was fine until I tried to cash the check they gave me as payment. Safeway customer service said they don't cash checks from Valley Recycling because they have not been good in the past. This has been a major inconvenience as a result. Prior to cashing a check from Valley, I'd call US Bank and verify the funds first.

As long as you're not doing anything illegal you should have smooth sailing at Valley recycling.......... Copper's $4.70 a pound right now!!!

Went there recently and waited my turn on the scale. When it was clear I pulled forward some. I hear a lady from above yelling stop! I put the truck in park and get out. Then in the same tone she says don’t go any further. There are some very crude handwritten signs. Get some professional signs made with clear instructions. My first time there ok. Don’t yell. After the scale situation a very nice employee told me where to back in and unload. The lady in the office needs to work on people skills. I’m sure you’re in business to make money. Next time I might go to Binford’s.

I don't like it, the people there aren't friendly, and I need more attention at that place.

Although a smaller scrap metal recycle yard, the service here is great! The workers are great and friendly and Mark the owner is very knowledgeable and friendly (even though he seems a little grumpy he’s actually a very nice guy and always nice to chat with while you wait to get paid) And their pricing is always on point with other good paying scrap metal recycling yards. I highly recommend going here for fair pricing and a friendly atmosphere!

If I had an option to give these people zero stars I would. these people rip you off and don't even know how to do their job right they gave me an unsigned check that I can't even cash because it's not signed and they wanted me to drive all the way up there from spanaway to get it signed and when I made a big deal about it because they won't reimburse me for their mistake they told me they weren't going to sign the check don't deal with these people you'll regret it

We are a Garage Door Company and we take all of our old steel doors there. SUPERB SERVICE EVERY TIME!! ✌️

They act like every customer is a criminal taking down your license plate #, and requiring id for everyone in your vehicle!.... Pretty ridiculous!

Double check that cash received is the same as on your receipt on the way out. Probably an innocent mistake by the cashier, but missing $11 out of $37.95 is a hefty shortchange. The yard staff were awesome, friendly and responsive.

I've been there and they're going to see me again tomorrow as I've been blessed with some metal to turn to cash. Stay safe and be aware!

As a plumbing company, I would not take your water heaters to recycle here . They are not appreciative of giving free metals to them . And they didn't seem to care to make me take my water heater back . Because it had cardboard and they don't even have a spot to get rid of any small cardboard

I brought in 30lbs of ins. Wire #2 got $45 for that which is about spot on but I had also brought aluminum 8000 wire clean stripped it by hand all day and was given $9 for 18lbs but yet I had 12 pounds of that exact wire that I had not stripped and got $3.60 for it but instead of choosing one of the aluminum options on there receipts they wrote 2 23, and 2 22 for the type of aluminum I guess and was rude and made me feel dumb for asking..i weighed the stripped wire before I headed to valley recycling I got 37lbs and the non stripped was 6 pounds even if my scale was off a tad bit these numbers were mind boggling I wouldn't recommend them I'm not mad the money isn't large enough to make or brake my month or even week but the respect u get when they think your not educated on scrapping is to me the difference in some back alley hustle type of business just looking to pocket extra off your hard earned scrap hunt and that's just the same as stealing it except we trusted the company and the process to leave feeling like a fool is why I wrote this I hope it's enough to change the way they do business or worst case just enough to make a decent person trying to make a buck without committing crimes or scaming people to add some xtra money to the pocket hopefully this will make them turn and go to the next scrap yard don't get robbed and worse don't be made the fool ZERO STARS IF I COULD

So like most other businesses, if they can outsmart you, they under pay you... I don't know much about copper however I do know the second time I went to scrap some, it was the same grade copper, same weight... but marked as a different grade meaning different pay... first time I got paid over 30 dollars in check form, 2nd time, I got 10 bucks and some change.... same guy that did the weighing as well so... hopefully they can make a point to maybe introducing the payment plan/ display of different grades to the customers before everything is said and done.. just for some reassurance. Other than that good vibes

They were great to work with. Answered all of my questions, and I was able to learn how many other things I could bring in to recycle and keep out of the landfill. It was a really productive day for me.

Never go Go there again. They used to pay decent but not no more. I went in there with two aluminums front semi truck rims and 191 lb of queen aluminum radiators and some other odds and ends and got paid a whopping $109. I could have went to Cal bags or Metro or benford and got over double the amount of money You're going to pay me 25 cents. A pound for clean aluminum is ridiculous and 35 cents a pound for the semi truck rims. Ridiculous

Great people.they are friendly and helpful.the right side of Rd is for steel and other ferrous metals.you get on the scale put your id into the tube were it shoots to the office staff.you get your id and paid from the tube when you finish.ferrous metals copper.brass aluminum go to next drive way to your left.pull to back.everyone in your vehicle must show their id or you can't drop off.yes everyone.but they are nice and have no problem explaining things with out making you feel stupid..they are open 7 days a week ,closing at 430 but get their by 4 so they can close on time.thats not to much to ask.since they are nice enough to be open 7 days a week and they are honest. Give fair price for your scrap. Check them out for yourself .they aren't a huge company but very organized and fair.i haven't ran into any one their that's rude of even grumpy. You can cash your check from them at Walmart money center for a $4 fee.or money tree for $7. Google maps can get you their. Have a blessed day.

I've been coming here for years, every other time I'd have given 5stars. never had any reason to complain, prices have been fair, staff have been helpful, they've even taught me a few things. My 17 year old nephew tagged along today for my trip to the yard. I'm sure more out of boredom than seeking my lackluster company...The female attendant at the window turned me away because my nephew didn't have his I.D.? Can someone tell me if that's actually a new policy, or was this stalwart employee feeding me b.s.? P.S. Just to clarify due to the owners comment, I had my ID my 17 year old nephew passenger in my vehicle did not. There is no law that every person entering a scrap yard must identify, only the owner of the vehicle being used...

This yard is great. I started off with 20 bags of aluminum cans and have progressed from there. I had no idea what I was doing, but they have always been helpful to a knuckle head that didn't know much about scrap. They are very friendly. helpful and just nice people. I highly recommend this yard for fair pricing and excellent service.

I have had pleasant experiences dropping scrap off in person and have no complaints there. Where I have major complaints is when I had a 40-yard container delivered. I filled the container with heavy metal material, large electric motors, plate steel etc. They picked the container up with no fuss and were on their way. I waited for an invoice/payment but never heard anything and after quite some time it just left my mind, until recently I called them to ask for a follow up on the load, they said they would call back, they didn’t, I tried again and again with the same result. After several weeks of contacting them, they finally returned my call and said that I owed them money and they had sent an invoice (never received) and we only gave them 3,000lbs (a complete lie) they also said the pickup was difficult (it was not, we witnessed the pickup). They could not keep their story straight on why we can’t see the invoice now and it is obvious they are avoiding us and trying to make us go away any way they can. I have been taken advantage of completely by this company and they know it. Response to Reply: No, this was not addressed in any way by any higher ups and I doubt that is by accident.

The Guy that works there named Mark is so nice and sweet. He's always friendly and helpful. So is the girl behind the window. It's always a pleasant trip when I've gone there, other than when it is super busy. If its busy then expect long wait times. Not because of the workers but because of people not having their stuff ready to go and separated.

First time here. Small business that has great customer service. Pulled up with 2000 pounds of guard rail and the yard operator came over with the excavator and helped me unloaded!!!! Totally awesome!!! Thanks folks! I’ll be back

I never sold any scrap metal before but had very low expectations. These people were great. They were fast, efficient, courteous and very fair. I would highly recommend them. Not sure when I will have any more scrap metal, but I will be bringing it here!

I love taking my metals here! Mark and Jake are super helpful and very knowledgeable. I’m new to scrapping metal, and they showed me the best ways to get the most money for my metals. Also the other side where I take my steel is super easy! They are very helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend this place. These people with make sure you get the most money for your metal.

This place was awesome! I read the other [poor] reviews so I wasn't sure what to expect but I needed a place open at 3pm on a holiday weekend. Kayla and the crew were professional, courteous and efficient. I was paid a fair price for all the scrap metal I brought in.
