Had a rental that started making noise. I called here and they said they could check it out. I arrived and they were courteous and quick! They figured out what was wrong and they were genuinely worried for my safety so they had me call my company to make sure they could work on it. They gave me pictures of what was wrong and they were so nice while we waited. Truly excellent service. Wonderful group of guys! Would stop there again if I lived in the area!

We recently moved to Sequim and needed to find another auto mechanic. My father-in-law has been going to Sequim Auto Repair for years, so we gave them a try. They have been servicing my Outback for about a year now, and they have always been courteous, professional, and solved the problem or performed the necessary service for a fair price. Recently my car needed the pinion gasket replaced and also needed a new battery. They had the car back to me in less time than they estimated, the leak was fixed, and when the windows needed recalibrating because the battery was disconnected, one of their mechanics who is a Subaru expert, knew just what to do. I would recommend them to anybody who needs an auto mechanic.

Passing through Sequim I wanted to get my 3500 HD Duramax serviced. I scheduled an appointment with Sequim Auto Repair and they got my truck in the shop as scheduled and finished when they said they would. I have never had an independent Auto Repair Shop perform such a thorough inspection while doing a LOF service. The printed report was incredibly complete and they told me that their only concern was my windshield wipers. I was very surprised that they checked the wipers and I mentioned that I had just ordered new wiper blades from Amazon and I was going to put them on when I get back to the RV Park. Trenton told me to go and get the wiper blades and they will install them, no charge. Never have had a small repair shop offer such incredible customer service. In addition, the LOF service was less expensive than the dealership plus I didn’t have to travel to Port Angeles to the dealership. I would give them more than 5-stars if I could.

Had an emergency this past week with one of my company trucks. Our business is based out of Port Orchard, so a vehicle breaking down in Sequim was not convenient. My first call went out to Sequim Auto Repair. I was greeted by the friendliest service, I have ever encountered from a repair shop. Trenton, helped me first of all with a towing recommendation then was able to get to our vehicle in a timely manner. He said, it should be completed by Friday, to my joy and amazement, it was ready for pickup, in less than 24 hours. WOW! That is super service! The only thing better was the reasonable price. THANK YOU! You made a big fan out of me!!

Something worth passing onto you future customers: I had occasion to address a vehicle problem today. There was some confusion and possibly some communication difficulties. I complained. The owner went WAY out of his way to discover all that he could and make things right. Indicators of integrity are like gold in the world of our cars (and my camper van). Reviews can be like life and death for very long distance travelers like me. We can’t afford mistakes costing us time, excess money, and/or risks down the actual road. So know this folks: Integrity at this shop is strong and genuine. That translates to several things like honesty, accuracy and safety.

Disappointed. This place was recommended by my dad, but apparently it’s changed ownership. Previous owner never charged him for estimates. I made an appt for 8am and took my 2012 Subaru in to have the AC recharged. They said they’d call me with the estimate. They never called. I called at 3pm and no one could help. I called again at 4:30 and finally was told that there were many things wrong but they hadn’t built the estimate or sourced parts. I asked if I could just pick up the car and they charged me $89 just to get my keys back. Won’t be going back! *UPDATE* Was called the next day and told the repairs would start at $1800, but likely be more. I told them no thank you! I went to a repair place in CA when I got home and the work was under $400 to complete!

Great experience! Our 20 year old Ford Ranger's had a part break which broke shorted the computer which shorted the fuel pump. They were able to assess the issue and find a solution since computers for a pickup this old were no longer available. It took some time but Tom let us know what was going on every step of the way. Highly recommend Sequim Auto Repair!

Brought my vehicle here after taking it to 3 other shops in the area. 2 In Port Angeles and 1 in Sequim. I had an intermittent issue that was hard to replicate without driving my vehicle extensively. The staff here were knowledgeable and fair. I had to bring it in a few times to work with them to narrow down what it was. I was only charged for parts and services that fixed my issue, not for any troubleshooting that had to take place in the process. This is a local shop with friendly reasonable staff. I will recommend this shop to anyone that is in the area. Thank you for the awesome service and fair pricing.

Marvin tells it straight and won't do work unless you give the go ahead. I'm sad to say that Marvin sold the business and I have yet to have a truly positive experience with the new owners. I will update as I come to know more

Had my car break down and was told to take it here, I'm glad I did. Tom was very professional and helpful even with some unexpected problems. No surprises from them. Appreciated that they got me a ride back to the hotel as well. Great shop, great people! Thanks Tom and Trenton as well as the techs that fixed my car!

You can call around all you want but you'll end up at sequim auto repair. You will be satisfied and you will save money. These guys listen to your concerns, diagnose the issue, and repair everything with a very detailed explanation of the service and an invoice with warranty info and a price breakdown. The folks at sequim auto repair will do it right every time! Thanks guys!

I took my Ford Ranger to Sequim Auto Repair October 2024, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. If you’re researching mechanics you can stop here because you’ll be happy with Sequim auto Repair. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless and exceptional thanks largely to Trenton, whose customer service truly stood out. Trenton took the time to explain each step of the repair process in detail. His professionalism and kindness made what could have been a stressful situation incredibly smooth. The quality of the work performed on my truck was impeccable. They actually fixed some issues that were leftover from a different mechanic. They did so without charging for anything unnecessary. What really sets them apart, however, is the commitment to transparency and communication. Every update and explanation from Trenton came promptly without any confusion. Their dedication to keeping their clients informed throughout the process is really special. Keep him on the phones he has great energy. After getting a $1500 quote from the KIA dealership to fix the heater in my car, I went to Sequim Auto Repair, where I had been getting my oil changes, and asked them if they could repair it for less. And, they sure did! They repaired the heater and changed my oil for half the price that I had been quoted by the dealership. It's enjoyable to work with friendly, local folks!

What a bad experience. I brought my car in because I had a leak and the car was struggling to start but not on cold starts, it would fire right up. They replaced my starter along with my steering rac and pinion assuring me the problem was fixed. The next day my car still had a leak and wasn’t starting as it should along with pulling heavily to the right. After calling about the concern I was told I would need an alignment (they did not tell me this up front or even after the service was completed.) Turns out the rear diff gasket was the leak and when I had another shop do my alignment they let me know my new steering rack had old hardware/washers in it and was leaking at the banjo bolt where a rusty washer was obviously reused. When I brought this to sequim auto’s attention they assured me that it is normal and it’s fine. I paid over 2k for things I feel were not even the issues I was having and didn’t even get new hardware with it? I was offered a free diagnosis of my car and that I had a warranty on the steering rack but I would have loved a diagnosis in the first place, rather than throw parts we “think” will fix it the problem. Ty at the front is pretty good but the other fella seems to not give a shit…..at all. I also had pickup delays, a lifetime warranty part that they refuse to uphold since Marv is no longer owner, I could go on and on. I will not be back, best of luck fellas. Moved to Sequim almost 2-yrs ago. Had some basic oil changes at other shops and was not happy. Just had both my cars regular oil & filter maintenance done. This will be my go to provider going forward. Very friendly and they genuinely desire to treat customers with respect and care. So happy to find my new clinic for car care.

To be fair I'm somewhere between a 4.5 and a 5. These guys were able to address my issue super fast, and they bent over backwards to get my car done as quickly as they could. As a delivery driver, this is my absolute livelihood. They fixed the problem correctly with a short delay that I don't think was any fault of theirs. The labor was a bit high for a job right on top / front of the engine, but maybe I'm ignorant of labor charges these days. Either way I would (and will) go back there. I would also caution people about the previous negative reviews, as someone who works in the service industry I know people tend to leave negative (and emotion based) reviews quicker than positive reflections, so I think it's best to form an opinion through your own personal experience. They have terrible customer service. They did not do what they told me that they would do. It is obvious that they care less about customer service by the owner’s tone of voice. This is the only time I have used their business. I made appointment days ahead and they did not have the parts to start the job after I dropped my vehicle off at 8am. I was told at that time that they would be getting started on my vehicle would it be ready around 2pm, it was not ready. They knew it would not be ready at 2pm and did not call me when they realized they needed to order parts. This is the new owner of the business and it does not have any customer service experience. They are in over their heads and I would be surprised if they last a couple of years. They have not owned this business vary long. Any positive Google reviews are base on the original owner’s experience. Updated to say the owner of SA phoned today to discuss my complaint. The owner emphasized how important customer service is to him and that because of this complaint there would be some ongoing customer service training for his employees.

I'm glad the old owner is enjoying his retirement. His excellent shop will be missed. This new owner and shop are second rate and expensive. My friend from Texas just had his transmission serviced, filter and oil before his return to Texas. We checked it the morning of his departure, the transmission was 1 and a half quarts low. This place is terrible.

I feel fine with the services provided thus far with the new owners. My recent visit was my first one under the new ownership.

The old owners of this automotive repair shop put in so many years running the number one garage in the peninsula areas! They wanted to find the right new owner to carry the torch of honesty, genuine care to customers and just letting you know what the real deal is. Still the place to go with fantastic new owners when the vehicle needs a little love plus professional top line services.

I called on Friday for a brake job estimate and the guy wrote me down for Monday at 10:30am. When I called at 10am Monday to confirm, nobody knew about it. No attempt to squeeze me in. My landlady warned me about going to this business, and when I called the first time the recording said they were closed for July 4th and it was September! Based on these experiences, I would avoid this business.

Thought I found the last auto shangri-la, what would of, in my estimate, taken an hour at best, took 3, when i questioned,(complained), the keys slammed on the counter for me to leave, the paper carpet protector went flying out my door and I left. The #1 sign i was flying with one finger as I left was for grumpy, not the sweet woman that also works the desk. He obviously was having a bad day. Ergo, my middle rank.

They botched an oil change, leaving the filter only hand tight. Now I have a filthy engine, a stained driveway, and missing bolts. No response from my complaint to them. Never go here.

This shop gave back my car with problems related to the job they did. When I complained they refused to fix it. When I demanded they repair it they tossed me out of their shop and refused service. There are other repair shops in town that are honest and friendly. But if you like being lied to, you found the right place.
