If you can’t find a part anywhere else in town—and that includes the dealerships or any of the parts stores in Port Angeles/Sequim —you need to head to A-1. Most likely they have it, but you'll pay a little bit of a premium for it because they know they're the only one in town that has it. I was working on a 2nd Gen Chevy Cruze and needed an exhaust gasket between the catalytic converter and the exhaust. Every other shop in Sequim was out, and the dealership was going to have to order it in for the next day. A-1 was the only place that actually had the gasket on the shelf and ready to go. If you're in a pinch and don't want to wait on a delivery, this is the place to go. They’ll get you back on the road today, even if it costs you a little extra for the convenience.
This is one of the rare locations left in America. It is an actual auto parts store. It is a gem and such a value to the community. The staff is knowledgeable. Leave the big box retailers alone. Stop in here. They can get you whatever you need as well and a whole lot more with a lot more knowledge.
Very unhelpful on the phone- bare minimum of responses, weak communication skills. I couldn’t tell if they were searching something up or just ignoring me.
I had some medical equipment that I needed to strap down and the attendants were kind and very helpful and showed me where the straps and the different types were.
A-1 Auto Parts is the best Auto Parts store within 100 miles, or more!!! Not only is the store huge and has everything you ever need, but it has guys that are working there that have the experience to help you out. We’ve been here about six years, having moved from Forks, and I will never go to the O’Reilly’s or the AutoZone stores ever again after finding these guys.
After being stuck all day on a FS road and by some miracle getting it started after a jump failed but wiggling the battery and cables around got it started again, I made it to town after all the auto shops had closed and A-1 was closing in ten minutes. They are much more than a regular parts store. The guy was nice enough to come outside, diagnose the problem, get the replacement cable, and even swap it out for me. They only charged for the part. I thought I was going to have to sleep in the parking lot until a shop opened in the morning, but they got me back on the road when they easily could have closed up on time. Their technicians know what they are doing. Can't thank them enough!
I had a serious battery issue and stopped in for help. The gentleman at the counter quickly diagnosed the problem and made sure I had everything I needed to get back on the road. He really went above and beyond. I was genuinely impressed with the level of service—friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Highly recommend this store!
We broke down 300ft away with no tools (and living in PA), the guy who helped us was extremely knowledgeable and lent us the right tools and a dolly to carry the things needed. Could not be more grateful, I will always come back to this store for whatever auto parts I need now.
David S was amazing. Stop going to multi-national corporations. After the 'scare' there was a war on Ma & Pa small business. It may not have been on accident. Car parts, restaurants, markets and hardware. Keep it local. You are only shooting yourself in the foot going to conglomerates, and big box. As for A-1, every single time, I am met with the best customer service. Outstanding. Really nice folks.

In decades past every community had an auto parts store like A1. Knowledgeable people that could help solve your problems. If they didn't stock it they could get it or tell you where to go. From my mower to my tractor, boat and automobiles old and new this is my first stop!
There is a reason why this auto parts store may be the best on the Peninsula: In response to growing up in a place where the culture was to belittle people coming in for help, the owner vowed when he ran a store, he would never be that way.
It shows. I came in for three things, and got helped with four. My van is my life, and I rely heavily on top-notch mechanics and auto parts suppliers. This is now my go-to place for the Olympic Peninsula.
Knowledgeable, friendly, experienced staff will help with whatever you need! They also carry specialty products you won't find other places. Something for everyone here. Highly recommended!
I went in to buy a deep cycle battery for sump pump backup and got great service. Price was as good as any I found online. The employee was not only very good but also had a great sense of humor. Employees were masked but some customers not masked. I will definitely visit again and next time for windshield wipers.
We had some strange electric issues going on with our Toyota motor. John walked us through the solution, going above and beyond. We would recommend this place to anyone who wants knowledgeable, service-oriented staff. These guys were awesome!

Outstanding customer service and product selection! They have a huge variety of products from sandblasting applications, off and on hand tools, cleaning supplies and a vast number of automobile accessories and equipment available. If they don't have it in house they can most likely get it for you. I've never had a complaint with the faculty or any products from this store.
This is the PLACE Super friendly staff, grabbed what I needed and have to go back for more cool stuff. They have a LOT more than just oil n some parts!
First, they have great hours. I work 7 days so to have a place I can run errands when I get off work is valuable. Next, the team is friendly, knowledgeable, willing to help. If they can't, they provide suggestions on where I might get solutions. Please keep it up!
Knowledgeable staff, fast, friendly, and more importantly more home grown than O'reilly! But, my Dad is and always has been a mechanic... And he has always said it's darn tough to find a good parts person??? Well, you can find a couple at AA AUTO PARTS!! IT'S AWESOME WHEN YOUR WRENCHING ON A CAR TO ACTUALLY GET THE CORRECT PARTS? FIRST TIME, EVERY TIME!
My friend's van broke down at the casino and we bought a starter here. We were given a great price. I came back later to buy a short handle wrench and they let me borrow it. We were able to fix the van and I brought back the wench and old starter. I lost the receipt and they looked it up and gave me back the core fee. I know nothing about cars but will definitely recommend this place and shop here if ever needed in the future. Small town businesses doing it right. Thank u guys!!!
They never make people who don’t know about cars feel dumb. They installed my new headlight for no charge. They have EVERYTHING you could possibly want or need for your vehicle and they order any unusual parts with speed and efficiency. I love these guys!
I come over from eastern WA to take care of my folk's house. Three times I've needed a part and called ahead to get a quote, and three times I've walked out of A-1 paying more, but not enough more to actually b**ch at the counter about it. They're very friendly folks but behind the smiles there is another motive. No one cares to be sized up as an easy mark.
