I bought a Kabota lawnmower here. John Matney was great with working with me. I would highly recommend going there.

Went by to look at some subcompact lawn tractors. The salesman took the time to explain everything very well and I was so impressed with him that I bought a new 2380 with a 60” deck and a 48” scraper blade. I think I came out ahead with the new one compared to what the used ones are selling for on facebook. Can’t say enough good for the sales staff. Thanks for your help

The buying process was great. However immediately after purchasing this found out that it had a vibration at about 20 mph that made it completely unenjoyable to ride. Went back immediately told them about the problem They said Oh that's just a noisy Can-Am that's how it's supposed to be. Found out on my own online that this was a known problem that there was a fix for. Went back to them and they said Oh okay Well we will order the parts and fix it After showing them the service bulletin because they refused to admit that it was even a problem until I showed them it was actually acknowledged by CanAm. I dropped it off to have it fixed It took over a month to fix it. When I went to pick it up they charged me $1,200 for the repair because it was no longer under warranty. It would have been under warranty if they would have took me serious the first time when I tried to get it fixed right after I bought it. I was under the assumption it was being fixed under warranty or I would of just sold a thing to start with and cut my losses instead of dropping another $1,200 into it. It left such a bad taste in my mouth I sold it anyway. The owner gave me a complete runaround One of the cashiers was a complete prick about it when I questioned why I was having to pay for something I thought was being fixed under warranty. The owner basically told me I needed to contact Can-Am and discuss it with them Can-Am kept telling me I needed to discuss it with the dealer. I will honestly never buy another Can-Am product nor will I ever spend any more money with Abington equipment. I really hate that I left such a good review and left it up this long without editing it after all the trouble. I sold the Can-Am to a neighbor at a major loss just so I didn't have to look at it and be reminded of the poor experience I had with the company and Abingdon equipment.

We had a great experience at Abingdon Equipment Co. a week ago during a visit to the area. My husband was looking for a radiator for an uncommon tractor model that our friend was trying to get up and running. Although we weren't able to wait for a used one to possibly be found and removed, we were able to purchase a new one which our friend was happy to buy. Danny Reynolds was super friendly and personable, and we had a fun time talking with him!

Wow where do I start. Offered him a cash deal on a b2650 Kubota and they said they would take it. Drove 15 hours round trip. Got there and he told me since we’re doing the cash deal he didn’t want no bill of sale or paperwork on it or I’d have to pay sales tax. That was red flag one bc I asked if sales tax was included on the cash deal out the door. The tractor was shutting off in the parking lot mid ride and he hoped in there and rode it around and told me it was the safety switch under the seat. I trusted it was that bc I am new to tractors and wouldn’t know if it was something more serious but again I trusted them. Got the tractor home and no pto shaft was there on my deck. Mind you they took the deck off to load it on my trailer. He already didn’t want to help me with that. Days go by and there is no A/C working in the cab bc of either a bad belt or bad pulley. On top of all this now the tractor doesn’t even crank. I haven’t put 1 hour on this machine. O have this documented. The Today I called him for the second time since purchasing this tractor and he had 0 sympathy and told gave me about 3 options which all were me hauling back to him and losing more money. He told me “it’s a used tractor quit winning!” Then he tried to sell me a new tractor. Im flabbergasted. NEVER go here to get your farm equipment. This is NOT the company to buy from. I wish I seen the reviews before making the drive.

Called to have our tractor repaired that we purchased there. Unfortunately we received no assistance after 3 phone calls. I understand they are very busy however all we needed was a timeline when they could pick it up. Each time no one was there that could help us.

Bought some salvage unit parts from them. The prices were ok. The used parts condition were ok. Everyone I talked with was nice. But, I will forewarn to not get in a hurry for your salvage parts, or callbacks/communication which I thought was a little lacking. if your good with that you will be fine.

Not sure how they stay in business. Very rude. Better not need anything out of the junk pile out back it's all made of gold. If you see my vehicle in their parking lot you can bet I'm desperate. I'd drive 3 hours before I'd go there

Called requesting a price for shortening baler belts. Was told it would be $28. When picking up, was told it was over $100. When I said I was quoted $28, they said that didn't include the $75 in labor. I was specifically told that "maybe next time I should ask for what parts and labor would cost." The person who told me it was $28 never said anything about parts, just $14 per belt. Felt extremely deceitful.

Negative 5 stars!!! I wish we had read the reviews before driving hours to be treated like crap. We called first to see if they had what we needed and was told to come look, we tried to explain we're hours away, but didn't matter. Said they're too busy this time of year to look, great customer service there...NOT. We should have got a clue right there on how they would be in person. Soooo, we ended up making the drive, finding a wheel ourselves, then having it priced about double what we expected. We asked if we could get it for a little less, but heck no. They don't want to help out the farmers, just pad they're pockets more. They are the perfect example of the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Then he had the nerve to say they may not be able to take it off that day, we were not about to make that drive again.. We told him we would do the $400 if he could have it off today. Off it came, loaded it, went to pay, and THEN said they'd have to charge tax, nope...we agreed on $400 even. All he had to do was charge for the wheel less what tax would be to make it an even $400. Nope. So we unloaded and made the long drive back home. Chalk it up to a bad experience and we will certainly never be back and will make sure our friends and family know...plus the dealer that recommended them to us.

My husband and I came here on the hunt for a specific weedeater, the Redmaster 206TS. The price was $422.99 but advertised on the Redmax website as $389 we questioned the price and was told that was their price no negotiations. We purchased it after doing research while in the store to see if another location nearby sold the same item. Seems we would have to travel to Elizabethton. I asked questions about the product. No one seemed to know the answers. No one was friendly from the time we walked in except another customer that happen to be behind us and owned his own lawn company in MTN City. He answered our questions and was more help than anyone in the store. I was also charged a credit card fee (around $15.00) with out being told the fee would be charged. The over all experience was strange and unfriendly. We didn't feel welcomed or appreciated and hope to never have to step foot on their property again. I'd rather drive an extra hour to another location to get our products than to feel like a nuisance while giving my money to these people.

Was attempting to purchase used parts, from cab that was totaled due to roll over. Their policy is " don't remove items without someone making sure item can be removed" After standing and waiting in area for 20+ minutes for someone to come out, got in vehicle and left!!! Customer service sucks!!!!! I wouldn't even given a 1 star if could have. I drove almost a hour and half to be blown off. I had dealt with company in past with good service. Just like most places, seems like after older leadership is no longer with company, or moved further up chain, this younger generation forgets customer, and WHO keeps them in business. Was going to discuss possibility of purchasing a tractor when was done finding used parts, but not after being ignored

We bought a Can-Am 700 4-wheeler from here yesterday. They were extremely helpful and treated me like a valued customer. You don't see this often anymore, but these folks really do care. Great prices too!

One phone call salesman was on it. Customer service first class pricing was first class customer service straight to my house on a Friday afternoon. Delivery guy was awesome. Salesman was awesome. The most painless buying experience I’ve ever had can’t say enough about Abington equipment. Thanks Jimmie Cunningham

Danny was a great, friendly and down to earth working man. I went to buy a mower and liked the Bad Boy after testing it out. He had to call John for the price, which was more than I wanted to spend but decided to buy it anyways. Constance was very nice and took my payment. She gave me all the paperwork and the delivery was scheduled. Then John arrives and supposedly a $2300 mistake was discovered, even after Danny gave him the model number earlier!! This wasn't received well but after calming down a bit, I offered to split the difference. Danny again seemed like this was a reasonable offer to make both of us happy. Not so much for John!! I got my refund and will gladly give my money to someone else, even if it's more than the price that I was given after it was paid for!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH JOHN. Hopefully, he doesn't run your business into the ground Danny!!

I am absolutely delighted with my recent purchase of a 60 inch cut Maverick Bad Boy Zero turn mower. I got next day delivery and now truly enjoy mowing. Cut my mowing time in half compared to my former Hustler. 5 Stars all the way. Thank you Jonathan

I wish there were another Kubota dealer near me, they ordered the wrong part and my tractor was down for almost a month. I know what they did wrong too, I read parts manuals for a living. I'll continue to shop there, but I hope they get a little more organized.

I have an older model Kubota. I asked to buy a front end loader, but they would have to take it off a tractor in the yard. I was told they would not do that, because they didn’t want to possibly lose a sale. They would order one for me, but due to the current economic situation, it might take 1 to 1 1/2 years to get it. I explained that I understood, but that I needed it to complete a project. I asked if they would sell the one in the yard to me and order a replacement for themselves or check with other dealers for the replacement. Nothing doing. I asked for help from FB Marketplace on Facebook to find a used loader and mentioned my frustration in a minimal way. In the photo, you’ll see the comment from one of the owners. He did not ask about the complaint. Just “don’t come back.” No problems there.

After an hour of dealing with the rude kid at the counter who told me they couldn’t find my part number I went out to my truck and found it on my phone. Went back in and the even ruder guy at the counter ordered it. Weeks later when I called to see if it had ever shown up they said it had so I drove 30 min to pick it up and it was not there there. A total waste of an afternoon and the kid at the counter had the nerve to insinuate it was my fault for not knowing the order number. I would drive hours out of my way to never go back to this place. I would encourage you to do the same. I gave it two stars because eventually they actually got my part.

Went to purchase a new tractor and sales guy John was awesome! Was able to answer all of our questions and we got a great deal. Salesman Max was pretty impressive as well. They were able to deliver the same day over an hour away!

Abingdon Equipment Company does not have time to fix your equipment. These guys seem friendly enough, and when you come in they're eager to help, but they tend to over-promise and under-deliver. As a retail establishment, they're probably fine. If you're buying a part to replace yourself or purchasing a new ATV or tractor I'm sure they'll help, but their service department seems disorganized and unable to get anything done. During all of my dealings with them they admitted to having other equipment in the shop that was overdue for repairs by months! Farmers can't wait months for a tractor to be repaired. The window to get hay out of the field is a few weeks, and cows have to be fed everyday. As a local business that serves farmers, I would expect them to understand that. My personal experience was that I brought them a gearbox from my Woods rotary mower that needed to be rebuilt. It was a matter of a few hours' work on the bench and replacement of three or four parts. When I dropped it off, they told me they were really busy and that it might take up to two weeks to get it fixed. I was understanding, and figured I would be okay for a few weeks without my mower. After two weeks I started calling and dropping by, and they kept putting me off. Today marked seven weeks that my gearbox was in their shop. Last week I stopped by and told them I'd be back for it today and Rusty told me it would be ready. Today I picked it up partially disassembled in a cardboard box. I don't think they had even secured all of the parts it needed. In addition to not getting the work done I requested, they didn't communicate well. If a project is going behind schedule or parts are difficult to find, I expect frequent updates by telephone. They never initiated contact with me, but only reacted when I initiated contact with them.

The phone conversation with the sales rep at Abingdon Equipment prior to our visit wasn't of much help since he had little or no recognition of who we were when we showed up. He didn't have a computer on his desk and wouldn't provide an email quote. Back to square one. He ran us around the disorganized yard in an attempt to show a sample of what we came to buy. That was pointless. When he finally ascertained availability of the model we wanted, he did get some hard numbers together. And then he checked out. He hopped in a truck and made tracks leaving the yard before 3 pm. He didn't get any of the particulars right about our sale, and barely conveyed the correct information to the Finance administrator. After he left, he had to be contacted by phone, and we had to wait. Jonathan is a real weak link in the chain at Abingdon Equipment. Finally, the Senior Mgr took note and went out of his way to finalize our sale. Thank goodness. We were getting ready to tear up the paperwork. Amanda did a great job on the details of our loan and purchase too. We wound up getting a great deal on a beautiful new tractor from Abingdon. But if you go there, steer clear of Jon.
