They tell you over the phone that they take used oil and transmission fluid and when you get there they say they don't. Thanks for wasting my time. I am glad there is an O Reilly's besides them.

Needed a battery quickly today after the 5+ year old battery I had started acting weird. It endured many hot summers and cold winters and it was time for replacement. I need a higher demand battery for electronics and saw online where the store had the AGM type I was looking for. Caelon tested my old battery which confirmed it was bad, and quickly swapped out my battery and also remembered to grease and protect the terminals which is necessary. I was in and out in 10 minutes. My truck started right up and I didn't even lose any pre-sets. Great service!

I always go here for anything I need for my car. Recently in the past years they've been more correct on giving me the right parts for my car so I'm happy to be a repeat customer :) there's great people working here now 😀

I have been a loyal Advance Auto Parts customer for 40 + years until I stopped in the Radford store and was treated the worst I have ever been treated in any business. There are way too many professional auto parts chains in the area for me to do business with and not have to experience the type of sarcasm and rudeness that I experienced at this location. Advance Auto Parts has lost a loyal 40 + year customer due to the rude and unprofessional conduct of one incredibly rude employee. Only one star because there is not an option for zero stars.

Stephen is the fastest windshield wiper changer, quickest battery installation person in the NRV! He has his grandfather's sense of top notch customer service. If you're not happy with other parts store representatives, go to Advance and hook up with Stephen, he'll treat ya right!

They were quick to help me and get what I needed and everyone was very friendly, and talked, even if they werent the ones ringing me up. Reggie was a big help and even carried my battery out for me to get home and have changed out.

Visit was quick and very pleasant experience. There were 3 people up front to assist customers and a bonus on this trip was that what I went in for was on sale also. Overall was in store under 3 minutes.

Good service, but don't buy their batteries. I've never got more than a year and a half out of them. The batteries develop dead cells very quickly, making them useless.Go to NAPA for batteries that last.

I will not shop here as a female and would not recommend anyone else to either. They have on several occasions talked down to me and tried to sell me equipment I did not need. I am not the most mechanically inclined but I'm not a idiot. No thank you!

Great place to get your car parts, especially a new battery. Richard and the staff there are eager to help with your car problems. Recently, January 2020, I visited to get a new battery in my expedition. The corrosion on the terminal made it VERY difficult to remove the positive lead to remove the battery. After over an hour of work, the new battery was successfully installed and I was back on the road. Thanks so much for the extra effort. Be sure to order online (to use the frequent coupons) and save money when you pick up the parts.

I have had multiple problems in this store. I usually shop across the street at O’Reilly, but my Mechanic wanted something from advanced auto. I had the sales rep tell me multiple times that I order their wrong part on the same sale. Do yourself a favor just go to O ‘Reilly they are cheaper anyways.

This store has a helpful well informed staff that diagnosed my problem and gave me all of the options on solutions. Prices were reasonable and the quality of the replacement parts I've purchased before have been reliable.

My SUV limped to Advance & the workers there don't ever seem the least bit bothered to check my car with their portable computer. Turned out my battery was fine, but my alternator was shot. They didn't have my part in stock, but O'Reilly's next door did. Still got a battery jump box from Advance cause I needed one & had a great deal.

Employee's are helpful, I needed a new battery, so used smartphone in parking lot to order with a $50 discount and then went inside the store a few minutes later, battery was sitting there ready to go. As I had no tools with me, the employee gladly installed the battery and all was good. Don't get the if I just walk in the store it costs $50 more than a few minutes on my smartphone before going inside. Sounds like not the best way to run a brick and mortar business. But the $50 off the best battery was absolutely helpful...

I came in to buy tire shin * I went to where it was at on shelf - there was a yellow price tag in front of the foam tire shine can 2 for $10. I took 2 to the counter ( 3 women were on the phones 1 male was outside installing an battery. I waited a good while for someone to help me - and finally the lady manager phone call ended. The lady beside her behind the counter said to Mgr. You need to help this person on the phone & The Mgr. Took the phone from her -- then the Mgr told the lady to help me. She said lets go to the front counter - we both walked to it & she rang up the 2 cans of tire shine foam & it came up to $16. & change. --- I told her about the yellow sell ticket on the shelf just in front of the item. She waled away from me to help the 3rd lady behind the other counter. I went & got the yellow sell ticket from the shelf - went back to the front counter - the lady after sometime came back to me & I showed her the sell ticket - she jerked iy out of my and and after a minute she said she was sorry she jerked it from my hand - I said no problem - she read the ticket and stated someone put it in the wrong place ( the onces were different ). But she said she would sell me the 2 tire shine foam cans for $10 that was on the yellow sales ticket. I Thank her & left 😀☺ Great Advance Auto **** but they need people on the phones & 2 people for the customers there. 😳😳😀😀

They checked my old battery, sold me a new one, and then installed it in the rain. I have also been saved when they replaced a battery connector that had corroded on another vehicle and wouldn't charge the battery. I also love that they support JDRF in a big way (especially the One Walk in Roanoke). My business is theirs until further notice, even with all of the other competitors nearby.

Advance Auto in Radford, Virginia stated hours open at 7:30 am. Went to the store to find the store does not open until 9:00 am.My time is money. Get your business hours right so customers do not waste time and money driving to your store to find out no open

PLEASE READ.Tonight on May 23 I stopped there as they were closing. There was a older man there with his hood up very old man. The belt was broke on his grand am. He had told me that he had been there since 5 pm this evening and he said none of the boys that worked there even offered to help him. So I took 10 min out of my time to put it on for him. That was pathetic those boys wouldn't even help that man. Maybe I might be a lil to mad about it but I DO NOT ADVISE ANYBODY TO GO THERE IF THEY NEED HELP.
